Laptop Domain

Description of Work: Hired service because it sounded like my hard drive was going. Phone response was great and the tech came out that day - punctual. I had purchased an external hard drive and the tech took it along with my computer to the shop. I was told that everything would be backed up and my computer returned fixed the next day. All of this went as said, and it was great. The problems arose when I signed into the computer and found that I did not have mail access and could not located some of my files. I set up my own email access again (luckily I knew how). I then searched the back-up hard drive and could not locate what I was looking for on it. I called the tech to come back out - which was immediate. The tech spent a lot of time looking around for the files. He said the files had to be there somewhere (his exact words) but he couldn't produce them. My email folders were eventually found but all my pictures were gone and could not be located. When I finally realized he was grasping and couldn't locate them - I showed him the door. I spent the rest of the afternoon trying to locate the files I needed. By sheer luck I found them - not where one would expect - and managed to re-set up my computer files as I had once had them. This service is not one for a novice wanting to get their computer fixed. You need to have some computer skills. I'm not an expert but I can get around, otherwise, I would have had to take the external hard drive to another company and have them locate what I needed.
