They did an awesome job. The job included demolition of the old floor completely in the whole kitchen, eating area and a bathroom. They were always on time,very professional, very thorough about explaining what was to be done each day. The owner, James, made sure that we were happy with every phase of the project. Got done as quickly as they could but did high quality work. The floor is beautiful and we couldn't be happier. Highly recommend this company.

Within 24 hours, I received a phone call back from Jamie with my initial interest in his services. He not only assisted with the design of my master bathroom/closet vision, but asked probing questions to insure he knew what I wanted. I started out with just replacing my bathroom countertop, sink, faucets and staining my cabinets (via other contractors). That started the desire to "finish the job" with flooring, bathtub surround and shower redesign. Jamie and his crew were prompt, professional, protected our entryway and carpet staircase, never left our home messy and protected our master bedroom area (including TV) from dust. Any time I had questions or concerns (yeah...I called at 6AM one morning!) he called me back and addressed everything. Halfway through the job, we questioned our accent pieces, but Jamie's expertise helped us stay on track. The end result: BEAUTIFUL! In an economy where tradesmen are lowballing their price and giving you substandard work, JC Tile stayed true to their ability to deliver excellent customer service and high quality craftsmanship. I will certainly use JC Tile AGAIN. Thank you Jamie!!! P.S. Another great quality that Jamie brought to the job site is that he was always here. He did not leave the site or his crew to handle tasks on their own. This was very important to me!

Jerry was great, gave fantastic advice re: everything from the choice of tile material to the grouting to placement. The installation is beautiful, we get consistent compliments from people who have had tilework done before that our installation is professional and lovely.

The company promptly responded to my desire to have a consultation, but it took 4 days to get an e-mail back from them indicating that they were not interested in providing an estimate since they had other jobs already scheduled. Response from J C TILE CO on Sep 14, 2010: 4 days included the weekend (Saturdayand Sunday). Emailed client Sunday night. We normally do not work weekends. Client said she was under some time constraints to get the work started and completed. We were busy with a current job. Didn't have the time to get estimates and do the work to her schedule. We appologized for taking up her time with the consultation. Homeowner Response: The consult was on Wednesday, 9/8/10, and the e-mail was sent on Sunday, 9/12/10, so JC Tile has a valid point. However, the response was not exactly as depicted. Their e-mail actually stated, and quot;I am sorry to say that Jeff and I were not able to put together a estimate for your kitchen. Our schedules/obligations were too full with our other job.and quot; I had flexibility on when the work was to be completed, but wanted to get estimates in a timely manner. They lost out on what ended up to be about a sizeable job because they were too busy to give me an estimate. I appreciate that the company monitors and responds to comments on Angie's List. They may be a great company -- it just did not work out for me.

If you read the reports on Angie's List you'll see the high standards and quality work Jamie holds himself to, nothing but the finest outcome is what you can expect. We couldn't be happier with our tiled back splash and newly tiled floor. If your looking to hire the best, take my word (and other members) for it J C Tile is the best choice you can make.

I was very apprehensive about starting this necessary and long over due project because of the cost as well as the magnitude of the job. However, when I contracted with Jamie he assured me he would take good care of me. I believed him and he absoluetly did! Jamie was knowlegable about all aspects of the job from the smallest details to the most critical aspects. He has an eye for detail and design and quickly understood the concept I was going for. He not only carried out everything I wanted, but was able to expand upon it. There were absolutely no short cuts taken and all details were attended to. Jamie is an artistan as well as a crafsman, professional on every level yet friendly and approachable, a philosopher as well as a pragmatist. I can’t recommend him highly enough! You will get your money’s worth and more!

Jaime and his crew are the best I have ever worked with. Always courteous and professional with respect for your home. He tiled the entire master bathroom and it is perfect, not one flaw! He also tiled the outside deck area around the pool, also perfect. His rates are reasonable and his work outstanding. It was a pleasure having he and Armando working with us. No need to look further, he is your guy!

Jamie was very quick to come out give us the estimate and arrange for the work to be done before our appliances were delivered. Armando did a great job getting everything done. You could hardly smell the sealer used and once it dried hard to even know anything was done, it looks great. Took about 8 hours and the whole house was done! We received an email from Jamie the next day to follow up and see how everything went and if we were satisfied with the work done.

The job started on the Monday after Christmas and ended about 4 1/2 weeks later (as expected per the estimate). Jamie (owner) was here every day and had one or two additional persons every day including some weekends. They started with removing all kitchen appliances ( 2 large refrigerators, dishwasher, trash compactor), and placed plastic sheeting over all of the cabinets and across the doorways to adjacent rooms. They also placed pressboard on the floor in the entry foyer (which they used to access the work area) and placed foamboard over walls and woodwork to protect them. The demolition and removal of old tile was very dusty as expected but the plastic was placed as good as possible. Jamie worked with us in choosing the tile and the pattern. They placed the mortar and set the tiles so that the baseboard was replaced in exactly the same level as before. Since the job included the kitchen and family room, we "camped out" in our upstairs during the job. At the end of the job they did a thorough cleanup inside and outside where they did the tile cutting. Additional people helped in the cleanup. They replaced the appliances appropriately including hooking up electrical and plumbing. Jamie also helped me replace the furniture in the family room at the end of the job. This was a very elaborate installation and overall we are very happy with the result. The tiles are very evenly spaced and level and the grout lines are uniform. Overall the floor looks like stone but being tile is much more durable with minimal care necessary. Jamie is a true professional and a perfectionist and the end result shows it. I would definitely use this company again.

Jamie and his crew did a fantastic job. He worked closely with me for what was needed, giving us options, suggestions based on his professional experience and expertise but never pushed any particular choice in tile type, colour, design etc. He suggested a Tile supplier he uses but never insisted we use them and gave us alternative suppliers to look at. The original quote was for a 12" tile laid straight. After my wife and I had visited several showrooms we changed to an 18" tile on a diagonal. Jamie measured and gave us a quote on Thursday, we selected the tile on Saturday, Jamie requoted on Sat night, laid the tile on Wednesday, grouted on Thursday and sealed it on Friday. He also installed a new Toilet. They setup the tile cutter in the Master Bedroom and shielded off everything to the point that at the end of the job there was literally no more dust than was there originally. He has a great crew who are also very professional and take pride in their work. We ended up choosing a tile from the supplier Jamie uses because they had what we like in stock. An added bonus was that Jamie paid for and picked up the tile which was a great time saver for us. We are extremely satisfied.

Made a fairly complex floor tile repair, that included matching colored grout and transitioning a step-down, which resulted in a great improvement over the original. Also removed, replaced and resealed kitchen counter grout and replaced one broken tile. Jason did an excellent job and is very easy to work with.

It was a pleasure to work with Jamie and his crew at JC Tile. They preformed the work they contracted to do and went above and beyond. They explained the tlile process and anwered any questions I had. They were here at 8:00am every day and went to work. I said they could leave their equipment and every night they cleaned the work area and stacked the equipment up. They used top grade supplies and left the extra for me to know what was used. It was a pleasure to work with a Jamie at JC Tile. He was so professional and did what he said he would do. I am very pleased with the shower and have already asked to have the tile in a second bathroom to be replaced.

The job ran like a top. No snafu's.

We called JC, he came to view the room, gave us a quote and within a week. He had prepared the room well, removed the old tile down to the subfloor, and put in a new cement floor. He and his team did an outstanding job and worked long and hard to get the room in top shape. His workmanship and professionalism were great. We will use his services again when we are ready to renovate a small bathroom for sure. Everything that the prior reviews wrote were true about JC and his commitment to excellence.

Jamie came out and gave us a bid (that was competitive) went over what the job entailed and what we might expect (good thing he did this, as it turned out the unexpected did occur). His bid was thorough and his information was invaluable. The job went well even though it took some extra time and effort. Jamie was a pro the whole way and would not do the job any way but the right way. Some extra cost was involved, but we were prepared for it and had it figured into the job, if necessary.

I asked JC Tile to replace a rotten wooden deck patio area between my house and swimming with a Tile Patio. JC Tile was prompt in giving me an estimate and advising me on the best way to have the area graded for proper drainage. Unfortunately the company I employed to remove the old deck and pore a new concrete pad for the tile did a poor job slopping the pad for good drainage. However, JC Tile was able to compensate for this mistake and and adjust for a good result. The owner and his assistant are very professional and I highly recommend their work.

The whole project went very smoothly and I was throughly satisfied with the results. I called JC Tile based on what others had said about their work on Angies List. Throughout the process James Hughes was professional, responsive and seemed to really care about the work he was doing. After my initial contact he came out within a few days to provide an estimate. He informed me from the outset that he had several jobs ahead of me and that it would be several weeks before he could get to my job, but in the end he was able to do the job a week earlier than originally planned. After his first visit he provided me with an itemized estimate within three days. He suggested several places where I could pick out my tile and grout. I got the tile at his price saving me 15-20% on the cost of the tile. The whole job was done in slightly over two days and James and his helper, Armando worked very efficiently. They kept the job site neat and and kept me informed of what was going on at each step. There was a minor problem in reconnecting one of the toilets because of the older existing connection hardware, but James picked up the new part himself and the reinstallation went smoothly. He also suggested replacing the baseboard and toe kicks in both bathrooms with tile. I wasn't sure how this would look but it turned out to look much better than had I left the baseboad alone. Overall this was one of my better experiences with home repair/remodeling and I would reccomend JC Tile to anyone intrested in having tile work done.

After deciding on 12x12 inch tile amid other changes, Jamie gave us an estimate. He was quick to call us back, initially, but then there was a little confusion about emails sent, lost phone numbers etc., but we eventually got it straightened out, and he came in to do the job. He and his partner worked efficiently, cleaned up after themselves, and completed the work ahead of schedule. He gave us a break on the price because his contractor's discount on the tile was greater than he expected. This was much appreciated.

I researched all the tile recommendations on Angie's List and called Jamie at JC Tile. He met me at our home and was very courteous, prompt and professional. He measured all the rooms and walked me through the various options. He then game me some tile company suggestions to visit and pick out tile I wanted. Once I had picked out the tile, he called the order in and we set an installation date that worked with my travel schedule. He and his crew were wonderful to work with. Always on time, very careful of my furnishings and walls, friendly to my three dogs, and cleaned up every day. The finished product was done on time and the work was fantastic.

My wife and I hired J.C. Tile to do approximately 750 square feet of tile work. WE ARE VERY PLEASED WITH the finished product! I would recommend him to anyone that is considering having some tile or granite work done. My wife and I found out when we started our home updating project that there are lots of individuals out there who hold themselves out to be tile contractors. However, the process of selecting a competent contractor at a reasonable price is a very time consuming process. Jamie (J.C.Tile owner/operator) made the whole experience of selecting a contractor easy for us. He accomplished this by arriving at his appointment on time as well as communicating with us when there were any changes in his plans. For two people like my wife and I that have busy schedules and have to make time, arriving when he said he would was a welcomed behavior. He also worked with us to make modifications in our project plans to stay within the budget that we had. He was especially diligent in explaining the assumptions and basis for his cost estimates. This also helped us to evaluate the estimates of other contractors. Anyone that has done any kind of home project knows that things always seem to cost more than we budget for so it was important to us to know why things cost what they do. One would expect that his behavior would be the norm for any contractor seeking your business. But we sadly found out that many of the prospective contractors would not be on time and then would not communicate with us about changes in their plans as well as being too general about their cost estimates. In a nutshell, we believe you would be pleased with the work of J.C. Tile and we would highly recommend them to do your job.

Jamie was very professional and thorough in his estimate of the job. JC Tile's estimate was extremely close to another contractor's - so we just flipped a coin to make the decision. Estimated cost was $4,200.

Overall it was a pleasant experience.

Jamie is an absolute pleasure to do business with. He is a true craftsman and he clearly takes pride in doing quality work. He was on time for the estimate appointment and for both work days. He worked very efficiently and completed these jobs in about a day and a half. Everything looks great. He does excellent work, has a pleasant attitude, is professional, and very easy to work with. To give an example of the kind of person Jamie is, when I told him that I would be sealing about 800 square feet of tile in another area of my house, he took the time to give me a tutorial on how to do it most effectively, advised me of a great sealant, and even gave me some of his. This kindness saved me many hours of work (along with the accompanying backache) and gave me professional results that I never would have gotten on my own. Now that's a nice person!

Can you spell "WOW?" Jamie and his brother had already installed granite tile countertops and the backsplashes but I wasn't completely happy. Under the cupboards looked like an exposed stone wall which, in my opinion, made the "triangle" above the cupboards jarring. Unfortunately, I was the ONLY one to see it. Fortunately I brought forth a bevy of arguments for doing it. Now,everyone, including my wife and Jamie are stunned at how good it looks! Jamie's business card identifies him as "owner/craftsman" Here is where the craftsman part comes in: He'd been initially against it because of the immensely difficult location, but then he put his clever brain to work and came up with a clever plan. After it was done I asked if he'd used this technique before. He said "No, I just now worked it out." Awesome!
