The serviceman did a great job. He was very thorough and worked diligently to make sure the awning was braced sufficiently for its size and weight. He found a wiring problem with the deck lighting and fixed that as well.

I would not recommend any referrals through Handyman Connection as I had two out of two bad experiences with their referrals.

We had general contractor first, do some plumbing work for us. He worked hard and sincerely wanted to do a good job, so we asked for an estimate to take apart and extend our deck. He worked hard on it and came up with good ideas to save money on materials.

I contacted them on the 14th and they were supposed to show up on the 15th at 2 PM. They never showed or called to explain why they didn't show. I had to call them and they said they wouldn't be able to get to me for another 3 days. I don't think that I would care to do business with these people.

The work was awful! The seams didn't match, the wood was uneven, the nails stuck out and the paint didn't even come close to matching. Since they offer a one-year guarantee ,I called them to come back and do it right. It took several more calls to finally get someone out. He didn't do any better, they just didn't seem to get it, so I just gave up. I was extremely disappointed that no one from the company, ever called to see if I was happy with their work. They just didn't seem to care.

Damage returned after 1 year and they refuse to honor warranty.

The gentleman that did the estimate was very nice, and professional, explained everything. He told me to call back and said they would finalize the estimate. I called a week or so ago, they said someone would call and no one ever did. I called this past Thursday and said the same thing, but still no one has gotten back with me.

The worker was on time, had to get supplies, was successful getting items that were appropriate. He was respectful of my home (took shoes off) stayed focused and completed the job within the time alloted. There was a communication issue as the worker didn't speak English fluently, but was dealt with.

The first appointment that I made was canceled at the last minute because the contracted person's car was not working. I agreed to reschedule for the next weekend and was specific about the time as I would be returning from an appointment. I arrived home 10 minutes before the scheduled time to a message asking for a call to confirm whether or not a specific piece of equipment (a snake) should be brought. I called back to discover that he was at least 30 minutes away, so he arrived 30 minutes after the scheduled time as he was waiting for my call. Seems like he should have just brought the snake and been on time! He did show up and during the work, although he didn't use foul language, he was obviously irritated and upset. He was not the right person for the job, but my main complaint is that Handyman Connection, who contracts with these individuals, did not respond to my concerns and charged TOO MUCH for what was done.

Said it would be $190.00. After he hung the fan he had to put mud in which was another $75.00. I won't use them again. It's just too expensive. Didn't use drop cloths and got dust everywhere.

Closer on gate on wrong side so that it pushes gate open instead of close. Gate not flush with fence. 1 5/8 inches off. Latch does not close. Very large gap between gate and fence. Worker had us purchase a lot of lumber and used none. Attic access ladder is UNSAFE!!! Many of the bolts and screws to connect ladder to framing are missing & those that are in are without washers so frame can fall out over heads. Ladder feet not installed so that ladder does not reach floor. The bottom section just swings above the floor. Feet are left on garage floor. NO INSTRUCTIONS LEFT or bolts to attach feet. Worker took down molding around old attic access and did not put any back. Big gaps around door and ceiling. Gaps where hinge attaches to framing. Storage racks had 16 decorative covers for square holes. Worker put in 2, left 2 on garage floor, rest are missing. The instructions are also missing. Worker left a mess. His idea of "first thing in the morning" was 9:30 am.

He did an excellent job, even picked up the sink for me from the Home Depot.

THEY ARE A GREAT COMPANY. THEY HAVE HARD WORKING EMPLOYEES. THE PRICES WERE REASONABLE. I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH HOW FAST THEY WORKED TO GET THE JOB DONE. THEY WERE VERY RESPECTFUL OF MY HOME. THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES WHEN THEY WERE DONE.

THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. THEY FIXED A PROBLEM THAT OTHER FENCING COMPANIES WOULD NOT EVEN FIX. THEY CATER TO PEOPLE WHO CANNOT WORK AROUND THEIR HOUSES THEMSELVES. THEY CAN FIX ANY PROBLEMS THAT ARISE.

THE GUY WHO DID THE ELECTRICAL WORK WAS NOT ABLE TO DIAGNOSE WHAT WAS WRONG SO I HAD TO HIRE SOMEONE ELSE TO DO IT. THE CARPENTER FROM THAT COMPANY DOES GOOD WORK, THOUGH.

THEY WERE ABLE TO GET SOMEONE OUT INTO MY HOME IN UNDER 48 HOURS. I EVEN RECEIVED A DISCOUNT AS A SENIOR CITIZEN. I WAS HAPPY WITH THE SERVICES AND THE HANDY MAN WAS VERY NICE.
