+ 1 moreHe was prompt and checked the phone box to see if the problem inside or out. It turned out that it is outside, and AT&T will have to fix it and there would be not charge. My inside wires are fine, so there was nothing he could do. He charged me $40. for the visit, and answered my questions and even gave me a number to call to forward call from my landline to my cell.
Description of Work: My landline phone is out, and AT&T can't come out for 12 days, so I called Bill hoping to get it fixed before then. He called me right back, was very courteous and business like, and said he could be here in about an hour.

+ -1 moreused a bulky phone jack, .was asked him to use the flat one that was originally used because it would not show. Now we have this bulky one showing. Some day i will rehire someone else to fix it. did not reconnect wires. left wires dangling left the cabinet dust not friendly / cordial at all did not honor a senior discount which is advertised , although his rate was the best price. would not put the jack where I would have really wanted it because he does not go into attics.. I do not like wires hanging or a cluttered look. I am very disappointed .

Description of Work: Not being overly anxious about tackling this 'new' world of electronics I had some internet connection issues that I couldn't tackle. William Sullivan was a true pro. He responded quickly handled my situation expertly and obviously knew what he was dealing with being an ex-phone company employee. I had a another unrelated issue a couple of days later and he showed up again and again put things in order. I highly recommend hi services.

+ -1 moreWe called Bill today and he came at 3pm the same day to fix the problems. He found them, made the repairs and we were extremely pleased. The price he charges is more than fair. We would call him for any further problems and recommend him to all. Can you imagine what the local telephone company would have charged for this service??? How long we would be on hold just to make an appointment and how many weeks it would take them to get here??? Call Bill...
Description of Work: We had 2 problems: the telephone connection in one room was dead so could not use it and the wireless alarm system was sending a communication trouble signal at 12:09 a.m. every night and waking us up!! Bill found the problems in each case quickly and fixed them both. The telephone connection was broken in the first room and as we had never used it had probably been that way since the house was built 12 years ago. The second problem involved work that had been done 3 months ago to move an existing telephone line into a cabinet so that the alarm could be connected to it. It had been working until 2 nights ago. Bill found another wire that had come loose, fixed that and also installed a filter on the line to prevent further problems due to RF interference.

+ 0 moreOur phone line was disconnected by a SureWest technician. We did not have SureWest as our land line provider, but the prior owner's of our home did. We requested that they remove the box on the back of the house as well as the battery backup that was in our daughter's room. Little did we know that ATand T wired our line through the SureWest equipment. We called Bill because of the good reviews and he lived up to them. He was very knowledgeable and was able to reconnect our line as well as activate two additional jacks that the ATand T technician was unable to do. And he did this all quickly. We would definitely recommend him.

+ 0 moreThe job took about 1 hour and fortunately didn't involve rewiring or crawling under the house or stringing new wires -- just some expert knowledge. Mr. Sullivan came the same day I called and arrived promptly and was very professional and pleasant. He is retired from Pac Bell and has over 20 years experience in this kind of work, which showed in his approach. I was so happy he could deal with it right away after I got the most awful runaround from ATand T for days.
Description of Work: Bill Sullivan fixed my land-line so that I have phone and DSL service once again in my 1954 home. This involved installing a new jack and connecting it to to the remaining line that was intact. Apparently the other wire had failed.

Description of Work: AT&T said I had a dial tone and I did not. AT&T was not immediately available to come and check the problem. I decided to find a company willing to respond. Mr. Sullivan responded and though it was the weeked, he came immediately. He arrived between the times he said he would come. He check all phone lines and showed me what I needed to tell AT&T so that they would come to my home and bring service to my home. He also explained that AT&T should not charge me for this service and he gave me an AT&T repair and claims phone number to call.

+ -1 moreI called Mr. Sullivan to ask about fixing our phone line as it was dead. He suggested I test the line to see if the problem was located in the house or the line coming to the house. He told me how to test it. He gave me the ATT number to call if the problem was in the line coming to the house. He was very helpful and avoided me having to pay for a visit that didn't solve the problem.
