Property Management firm badly misrepresented property we rented, particularly re: numerous safety issues, including but not limited to electrical, fireplace, rotten deck/railings, furnace leaks, termites, 23 outside lights not working, etc. This despite property manager representing that a "complete home inspection was done," including a separate electrical inspection, which proved to be a blatant misrepresentation (among several others). After 2 years of poor to zero response, we settled a resulting lawsuit, in our favor, for a monetary settlement greater than 2X our contracted rent. > > VK Associates and owner Vivian Kent have a legal and social media history showing a long-term pattern of tenant abuse. Don't make the mistake we did. Do yourself a favor and check out VK Associates history.

Surprised to find out that slum lords exist even in Carmel. I rented from this company for four years and it was the worst rental experience of my life! They were only concerned about what the property looked like from the outside. They wouldn't respond to much-needed repair requests but yet sent me a letter stating my daughter is no longer allowed to write with sidewalk chalk in the driveway. I ended up finally having to do all repairs myself and at my own expense. Moving out was a nightmare! I left the property absolutely spotless with pictures to prove it. Not only did I not receive any of my $1650 cleaning deposit back, I was sent a bill for $2450 for additional repairs and cleaning to the property. Confused, I dropped by the property only to find luxurious improvements being made at my expense. I will now need to take them to court to get my deposit back as there is absolutely no reasoning with them. If you're thinking about doing business with this company, run....just run!
