+ -1 moreBottom line: Dave didn't work on my piece but if you have a high end antique or want perfect, detailed finishing work, Dave's probably your guy. His work is simply gorgeous. In the end I found The Coastal Craftsman, who rebuilt my table and also took a huge 9ft Teak Armoire that was beyond distressed from sitting outside for years and built a beautiful console table from the salvaged pieces.
Description of Work: Dave looked at the two pieces I brought to him and showed me how to fix one on my own. He took the time to show me what epoxy I should use, how to mix it and apply. My second piece, the main reason I visited him, was not the type of work he does. I have a reclaimed Pecky Cypress table with legs falling off and in general poor condition. I wanted it reworked into a coffee table or bench with what wood he could salvage. He does very fine (gorgeous) refinishing work and said it had various places of dry rot and it would cost more to restore it and re-work it than it was worth. I appreciated his honesty and saw the things he was working on and I was impressed. He definitely does not do "Rustic".

Description of Work: Dave Lind refinished a solid oak table and chair set for me and repaired the rush seats on the chairs. the table was in very poor condition as the existing finish was cracked and peeling from sun damage. Dave did a wonderful job completely stripping the table and restoring and refinishing it to its original condition. The chairs were also coming unglued and were very wobbly. Dave refinished these chairs as well and also repaired the rush seats which were unraveling. Overall he was great to work with and did a beautiful job. He has obviously been doing this for many years and is very good at his profession. I would highly recommend him.
