I can't say enough great things about Daynan and his team. He worked me in last minute so we could continue our move, and did a fantastic job. He was prompt and professional the entire time. Even when our garage flooded midway though the installation (completely unrelated problem), he worked to help us clean up the mess and completed the job with no delay. Daynan pays attention to detail and leaves you with a great product. His work is impeccable. I would absolutely use him again and recommend him to anyone!

Meticulous, very careful, Daynan and his young apprentice did an excellent job would recommend them without hesitation. He also came with a week's notice to allow the job to be done prior to moving in, and I think he rearranged jobs to be able to do this.

We love our new epoxy flooring! From start to finish everything went as planned and we couldn't be happier. The owner is very punctual and professional and all the work was completed as promised. He worked with us very closely to find just the right colors and patterns for our garage floor. The work was done right after we bought our new house and even our real estate agent AND interior decorator was so impressed that they asked for extra cards for their own properties and clients. Daynan is an absolute magician when it comes to the design, quality and workmanship for epoxy floor coverings. I picked Imagine from Angie's List after during my research on epoxy floor coverings, reading lots of consumer reviews and learning about the entire process. I contacted Daynan for an estimate, he came out, looked at the job and answered every single question I had with respect to his process and procedure for installing the best possible floor. Believe me I had a lot of questions! :-) He walked me through his entire process from grinding out and preparing the floor to the number of coatings to the amount of flake he dropped and to the final sealants he used to finish the floor. Needless to say we struck a deal, set a date for the install and Daynan gave me a very good, fair price compared to the other quotes I received. Daynan showed up on time and completed the job in two days just like he said. Our garage size is just over 600 square feet. He showed me his entire process from beginning to end. I even watched him open up the concrete with a diamond grinder by hand! He does it that way because he gets a better prepped floor to receive the material and coatings. I was blown away! In summary I could not be happier with the work, the overall result of the install and Daynan's professionalism. I would highly recommend Daynan and Imagine to anyone looking for a professional grade epoxy floor install or redo. He showed up on time both days and worked hard. (It is very labor-intensive work). No question, I would hire him again and would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants to epoxy their garage floors.

I've always wanted a nice, clean, epoxy-coated garage. So when the Angie's List special for Imagine appeared in my inbox, I bought it. Within a day of purchase, the provider (Daynan) called to set something up. He came to my home to see the garage, give me an estimate, and set up a date to do the work. He worked the days we agreed upon, finished the job in two days (just like he originally told me), and the price matched the estimate. I'm really happy with the quality of the job too. I have friends and neighbors with epoxy-coated garages that don't compare at all to the work done by Imagine. I have a second single car gar and after I save some money, I'll have Imagine epoxy-coat it too.

Imagine Epoxy did a wonderful job on our new garage floor. We selected a great color together, with his help and suggestions for a good match to our home. He was fair in his pricing, on time with the work, and created a beautiful garage for us! It is so nice looking that it seems like a new extra room for the house!!! I want to dance in there now! I recently used Imagine Painting & Design of Epoxy Garage Floors (Daynan Johnson) on a vacation property so he was my first and only choice for epoxy flooring on our primary residence. Just as before, Daynan was immediately responsive to my call and flexible with my location and schedule. The product line he uses now has more color choices and I was already completely satisfied with his installation methods and the final product. I certainly appreciated the extra effort he provided to remove the surface imperfections on my garage floor. Although it shouldn't be the case, it seems rare when you get both value and service from a contractor. Daynan has now twice delivered this for me.

From start to finish, Daynan was a pleasure to work with. I impulse called him on a Saturday afternoon while working out of the garage and he was just chilling out with his puppy. So he said "why don't I just come over and give you proper bid right now." 30 minutes later we (including his estimating puppy companion) were talking on my driveway over just how lame my current poorly epoxied, chipping, garage floor was. He informed me that he would hand grind, hepa-vac and prep my floor. Than apply the epoxy, color chips and sealer. He had what seemed to be hundreds of color options and he even helped me pick a complementing color for my garage walls that I could paint to really bring the garage alive. He said he could have the job done in two days. He showed up on time and took a cumulative 8 hours over two days to give me a spectacular showroom floor in my garage. OCD is preventing me from putting anything back in it because it is so awesome! Daynan is clear, concise and totally cares for his customers. It is just too bad that his floors last forever because I do not have any other floors for him to do. So there's not much else he can do for me. But if I did... He will atleast get rave recommendations outta me. Thanks for being the embodiment of what Angie's List is all about. Great contractors, great price and great service.

Daynan, the owner, was excellent. He was punctual, friendly, courteous, and professional. He explained the process thoroughly and gave us a wide selection of colors both for the undercoat and for the flakes. Unlike many garage epoxies that I've seen, Daynan uses 100% flake coverage, and the results are fantastic. The full-flake coverage prevents chipping & peeling, which is a common problem I've seen in other garages. In addition, Daynan offered a lifetime warranty against chipping and peeling. For those who don't know, the process involves first grinding the floor to prep it for epoxy. Then the next day, he puts down the epoxy and then spreads copious amounts of flakes. On the third day, he comes by and scrapes up the excess flakes. You do have to empty the garage yourself; that's not a service he provides. Pricing was good, but not the cheapest around: around $3.75/sqft, minus $100 Angie's List discount. But the quality materials and service was worth the little bit extra. All-in-all, we would highly recommend Daynan's service to other members. (If Daynan is reading this, apologies for the delayed review several months after the work.)

My husband and I would recommend Daynan Johnson of Imagine Painting to transform your garage flooring. He was professional, punctual, quoted me a figure and stayed right with that figure and was in and out in the two day period he had said. My garage floor looks so great that we could host neighborhood dinner parties in our garage! I shopped around and I could not be happier with the service and quality of work Daynan provided. Because of the excellent reviews posted on Angie's List, I chose Daynan to refinish my 3-car garage floor with an epoxy-based surface coating. Daynan told me that his father was professional painter and his mother was an interior designer. Daynan had started doing painting jobs since he was 9 years old. Daynan helped me choose the color and pattern of coating based on the exterior color and style of my house. Both my wife and I thought it was a very good choice. Daynan arrived promptly at 8:30 am. He assisted me in removing a two-door divider from the garage. He then proceeded to thoroughly scape and sand the garage floor. He also patched small holes and cracks in the slab. The prep work was very thorough. He then applied the Roll-ON Rock epoxy coating and applied the color chips. Daynan came back to apply the top coat/sealer on the following day. The new floor looked great. My wife and I were very pleased with the outcome. I would definitely recommend Daynan to anyone considering a similar project. Daynan is a nice guy. We both love scuba diving. We shared our diving pictures.

He was fine, but the side yards yellowed terribly. He did come back out and redo them with non-yellowing material I have to give him that, but I did have to pay the material cost, he just waived labor. He was pleasant enough about it. The cost for a two car garage was way beyond the offer on Angies list. It was for a very small square footage, maybe a small one car garage. I did like him. He did seem to care very much. He is very busy here in North County San Diego.

Mr. Daynan Johnson is everything you expect in a contractor. He is responsive, reliable, and professional. I have zero patience for contractors, such as ones contacted in Costa Mesa and Yorba Linda, who didn't have the courtesy to return calls. Mr. Johnson provide me with requested product and contractor information and met my scheduling requirements. The project was completed in two days; even with all my questions during the process, which were politely answered by Mr. Johnson. I appreciate Mr. Johnson's attention to detail and I plan to contact him on another garage floor project.

Daynan Johnson-Owner- Imagine Painting and Design arrived promptly at 8:30 AM on 2/20/15. He assisted us in removing some difficult items from the garage and then proceeded to thoroughly scape and sand the garage floor. The prep work was very thorough. He then applied the Roll-ON Rock epoxy coating selected from an array of color choices. The following day 2/21/15 A sealer was applied which needs a day to dry/cure properly. We expect to move our garage contents and cars into the garage on 2/23/15. No surprises . Everything work out the way it was originally proposed The garage floor looks fantastic. I contacted Daynan through Angies' list and got a quick call back to set up an estimate appointment. Daynan was on-time and had an estimate ready for me quickly. I really appreciated that he had samples of the various floor patterns with him that he could show me, and that he was able to help me make a decision on the best color selection. When it came time to schedule the work, Daynan was very flexible with my ever shifting schedule. The day the project started, Daynan showed up on time and ready to rock. During the course of the project, I appreciated that Daynan took care to answer all my questions and to really make an effort to keep the area surrounding the work clean and tidy. The project finished on time (in two days) and the end result is fantastic! The garage floor looks like a show room now. The only unfortunate thing is that it has made the rest of my garage look drab by comparison! I will soon by getting paint samples to upgrade the walls to be consistent with the flooring. From start to finish, Daynan performed his work professionally and as agreed. He is a very nice guy and a very hard worker. I am already considering another project for him.

After researching several companies, because of this company's excellent reviews, I telephoned Imagine Painting and Design and spoke with the owner, Daynan Johnson. He was able to promptly visit my home to give me an estimate based on the garage square feet (it is a 2-car garage but slightly large than most) and also discounted the cost for my being an Angie's List customer. Daynan explained that it would be a 2-day process, comprised of sanding and patching, applying the epoxy and color chips and then application of the top coat/sealer on the following day. He provided samples of the finished product so that the color choice could be made. The appointment was set for the next week and Daynan, himself, showed up at the appointed time to do the work himself. He then promptly got to work. Daynan Johnson was efficient, professional and courteous. The garage floor looks amazing and I could not be more pleased!

Prepared floor by filling in major crack in slab, then grinding and preparing surface before applying epoxy grey with final seal coat. Due to the rain, painter, electrician, plumber, Daylon was very flexible in getting the job done. The floor looks outstanding.
