Working with Drew/Coastal Designs was a pleasure. Drew is friendly, prompt, professional, and flexible. He was helpful and hands-on from start to finish. He has great taste and vision, and helped us design our dream kitchen and patio. When we hit a wall with our original plan to expand the kitchen into the garage (due to City Code issues), Drew helped us come up with a new plan that maximized what little space we had to work with. (He was also honest and straightforward about his area(s) of expertise. When we tossed around the idea of building out into the yard, Drew let us know that additions were not his forte, and further, would blow our budget out of the water. I was very appreciative of his honesty where I'm sure many others would have jumped at the chance for more work and money, even if they would not have been the right men (or women) for the job). Drew's initial proposal was extremely thorough and well-done. Though his bid was a little bit higher than another local contractor's, I am certain we came out on top because Drew was so conscientious with respect to finishing within the budget and on time, and further, in providing the highest quality products and services. We did come in a few thousand dollars over our original budget, but those were all things that my husband and I chose to add to the original plan over the course of the remodel. Drew was extremely flexible, working around our busy schedules and meeting us on several evenings and weekends to go over design and material choices. Drew gave us his candid opinion on layout, aesthetics, and brand choices when necessary, but allowed us to remain extremely involved throughout the process. He also handled our particular requests, endless questions and concerns, and my nit-picky and OCD personality in stride. He constantly worked to ensure that we were 100% happy with both the process and the finished product. Drew provided a detailed construction schedule and stuck with it, except where he finished early. He has a seemingly bottomless reserve of friendly and professional subcontractors who were able to complete both the indoor and outdoor jobs (two BIG projects) in about 5 weeks, and we were really only without a working kitchen for about 3 weeks. This was crucial for the parents of a picky toddler! His crew was on time, hard-working, and cleaned up after themselves. Drew even hired a cleaning crew to clean the whole house when the project was finished! And Drew was there almost every day to oversee the work. Drew and Coastal Designs turned what I'm sure could have been a nightmare of an ordeal into a (nearly) painless experience. The remodel was finished in time for the holidays, and we happily showed off our gorgeous new kitchen by hosting a big Thanksgiving dinner. I'm happy to report that everything works like a charm :) My husband and I would highly recommend Drew and Coastal Designs for your remodeling needs.

Drew Efimoff of Coastal Designs is not only an honest, efficient, licensed general contractor but also a professional businessman. The job was completely laid out with all costs, signed contracts with payment and completion schedule. Estimates were submitted in emails for all additional work added. Customer satisfaction is important to him and it shows. We really enjoyed working with Drew and his crew.

If ever there were tough clients to have... it would be us. Drew was extraordinary in his support, guidance and recommendations in working with us. We were able to complete our project on time (in fact finishing before the agreed upon time) as well as on budget. We wanted to be very involved in this big project as it has been long a dream of ours. Drew recognized this and worked with us to make this possible. We were very involved during the whole process, from choosing how we were going to re-layout the new floor plan to deciding what type of fixtures we were selecting on the cabinets in the new kitchen. Drew was extremely flexible during the process, providing us with options and suggestions during key parts that made our decision process a lot smoother. Drew was very up front with costs of the project, providing a line item approach and giving detail on what the costs were. This was extremely helpful as it always kept us informed as to how we were doing against the overall budget without guessing. The experience with Drew from start to finish and with all of his sub contractors was extremely smooth. Each partner that Drew brought in was professional, very nice to be around and most importantly were excellent craftsman. We are happy to provide more information and a referral!

I first met with Drew at a Starbucks in late April, 2011. I'd already met with other contractors and was hoping to finalize the process that week. Drew blew me away with his attention to detail and his very presentation. The choice became clear very quickly and Coastal Designs got started on the project within a week. One of the most amazing things about the project was that every time Drew said he'd be there or someone from his team would be on the project - THEY WERE THERE. Early in the project we ran into some problems with the incumbent plumbing. Drew's team resolved it quickly without additional cost. He always finds ways to overcome challenges and his team is obviously very experienced. Coastal Designs is an excellent company and I'd definitely hire them again for other projects. Kukawka, Oceanside, CA A strong Recommendation for Drew Efimoff If you are looking for a man who, with his sub-contractors, has high integrity, is very timely, is a true professional and has an eye for design and detail, you?ve found your man in Drew Efimoff. At the end of 2010, we were moving to the North County San Diego area from about 90 minutes away. Needless to say we didn?t know much about the contractors in this area. Our real estate agent had known Drew for many years. He had seen his work over those years and said it was very high quality. Liz, Susan?s sister-in-law, worked at Farmer?s Insurance with Drew, a number of years ago. Here is what she said about him. ?You will not meet a finer man.? Drew told us up front, that he has never been late with a project, which was reassuring to us. Plus we signed a contract before any work was done, which laid out the end price. The time frame was 5 weeks and he hit it on the nose. Also, with the exception of the couple of things that we added, he was right on with the price he quoted. He was very responsive, as well. If we didn?t get him live on the telephone when we called, he called us back within 5 to 10 minutes each and every time. After this experience, we would echo what Liz said. ?You will not meet a finer man, nor have a more professional contractor work on your home.? Here is the thing with Coastal Designs. Drew, the owner is not only a general contractor but also a gifted Designer. His eye for choosing the right granite ,flooring, cabinitry, colors etc.. is uncanny and was a huge help to us because we really needed help and with Drew we didn't need to spend a bunch of money on an interior designer. His workers are true tradesman and Drew was on the job each day and ran the project like a field marshall coordinating the various trades perfectly. This is the second home Drew and Coastal Designs has remodeled for us and I am not one to write reviews or reference letters for people but this company is really that good that I feel compelled to do so. I cannot recommend Drew and Coastal Designs more highly. They are trully a professional organization always willing to do the absolute best and not settle for mediocrity as I find with so many businesses today. Coatal Designs and Drew Efinoff were a great find for us and we could not be more pleased with the results as well as the overall experience with thier services.

I can't say enough good things about Drew and Coastal Designs but I'll give it a shot. ?First and foremost, the work they do is nothing short of beautiful. ?We had a small bathroom that needed a makeover and Drew turned it into something you'd see at a 5-star spa. ?He is craftsman that knows the meaning of customer service and is true to his word. ?But not only is his work magnificent, he is very reasonable and his rates rival the "cookie cutter" option we found in the marketplace. ?We are looking forward to having Drew do additional work in our home as soon as possible.
