Within 2 days the sliding door does not lock. He did nothing to improve it except to ram the door around a bit. He did not successfully adjust the strike plate, nor did he check the rollers on the bottom to adjust. When we called him back asking him to return to fix it, telling him that it was almost impossible to lock, he said he would come back for $40. We thought 200 dollars should have paid for the fix the first time. The other sliding door does not lock reliably either. When I objected to the $40 he said ok he would come back and we could pay him what it was worth. I told him we had already paid more than it was worth, considering that he did not fix it the first time. We will find someone else. Extremely unprofessional and he certainly does not back up his own work.
Description of Work: Took 1 hour total too "fix" 4 issues. 1. Front door squeaked when open: Pried one side of door up with pry-bar. Sprayed oil to fix noise. 2. Bedroom door didn't close correctly: Moved the strike-plate for door. 3. Sliding glass door did not lock well: Spent five minutes inspecting supposedly and repositioning strike plate and said it was fine. 4. This is the reason we called him in the first place.. Main glass sliding door would not lock. Latch did not hit correctly in "strike plate". He checked and said he couldn't really adjust it because the holes were too close. Just sort of rammed the door around until he could get it to catch.

Description of Work: They repaired a retractable screen door and did an excellent job. They provided a much more stable installation than did the original installer and I find no fault with their work ... on that basis I would recommend them. BUT, they were running a 50% off promotion in a local coupon mailer and they refused to honor the coupon saying that the coupon covered only service calls and that my repair job was a repair job, not a service call. I think this was a cheap trick designed to lure me in. They had completed the work before I was told they would not discount the job. I also qualified for a much smaller seniors discount which I was given as a "compromise".

They did a great job of putting up the screens on my doors. They have good quality screens. They are very professional and friendly. They were here on time and they did the job very well. I would recommend these guys to anybody. I don't remember how much they charged me but it was reasonable.
Description of Work: They installed 3 screen doors on 3 large patio doors around my house.
