I contacted Daddario Roofing based on a neighbor's recommendation. I had patched the leaky roof a couple of times already, once by myself and once by hiring a local handyman. Both repairs lasted one season, but when it started leaking again this year I decided I needed to have it done properly. I'm happy with Daddario's pricing and quality of work, and the tenant tells me the roof is finally leak-free! Hooray! I will definitely call Daddario Roofing again and recommend them to others.

Their ability to save the Dutch gutters that were original to the house was an important consideration, and they saved me a considerable amount over other vendors' bids, despite using the highest-quality("50-year")composition roofing available. Their crew left the work site cleaner than they found it, even removing the dust that had accumulated on the driveway over the past couple of months. I've already told several people that I'd recommend their services and will recommend Daddario Roofing to any others I know who might need roofing done. For quality and price, Daddario Roofing is the best I found.

All negotiations by email and phone to re-roof house my daughter's living in at UCSC. Found additional roof to remove and charged reasonable amount. No other problems except they forgot to send final bill after work final work was done (gutters) but that was OK with me. I'll know more after we go through the winter.

I worked with the company from San Diego with my mother living in Watsonville. She is 89 years old, lives along, has poor hearing and vision, and is very untrusting of people. She has lots of time on her hands and is a stickler for details, often times calling workers back to fix the smallest item. Deddario went above and beyond with her and when they were finished, she was absolutely raving about the contact person (Joe) and all the workers that replaced the roof on her house and her garage. She called them several times to come back and check on things she felt were not up to par and they willingly and promptly returned each time to satisfy her whims. I chose Deddario for her because of all the positive reports on Angie's List, and I am not sorry I did. My mom was a little hesitant to hire them because she had someone in town in mind. But I convinced her that because I was not around that she needed to trust my judgement, and she was very pleased that she did. All in all, I would highly recommend this company for all aspects of the roofing/gutter business. They did a great job and were very professional. And as a finishing touch, they actually made it rain the day after they finished the roof, something that never happens on the central coast in June. The roof passed with flying colors. Thanks Deddario for making life easier for my mom.

Overall, a great experience! We hired Daddario's to inspect the roof on a house we bought recently as well as to inspect a house we were selling. Including this repair, all our experiences have been nothing but positive - I highly recommend them.

I got three estimates and all were about the same cost but Joe from Daddario was more professional and took the time to explain different options and the reasons/benefits behind them. I always had quick access to Joe by cell and the owner, Steve, to answer questions along the way. The crew was prompt, courteous, and professional throughout the whole job. They finished on budget and ahead of time and did a good job of cleaning up. The roof, gutters, and code updates all look great. I would gladly recommend them to others and would use them again should the need arise.

My last interaction with them was excellent. I will definitely use them again in the future.

The crew arrived exactly on the day and time we agreed on and installed a new ridge vent, side vent holes, repaired my leaking roof (due to previous contractor installing attic ventilation system) and replaced some tiles that had 'melted' and become soft due to the excessive trapped heat. They worked tirelessly and completed the work quickly and kept things very tidy. They checked back a few days later after a rainstorm. What a great company. Next time I need anything done on my roof, I will call Daddario Roofing. Fast, well-priced and HONEST. I couldn't be happier with them.

Within a day or so they came down to give the estimate and their estimate was lowest of all other estimates. The owner, Steve, came down to talk to us later explaining various options (continuous ridge vents, attic exhaust fan, etc.) and helped us choose the right combinations. After the discussion, we decided to replaced the gutters (as doing it later increases costs significantly) but decided to postpone the skylights. They were busy but accommodated us by giving us an appointment within 2 weeks. However, when they called to confirm to appointment a few days in advance, they mysteriously had postponed the date by a few days. When I reminded them of the signed contract, they managed to squeeze me in a few days earlier than scheduled. So, even though ultimately it was not a big deal, I wonder how come they scheduled the date wrongly in the first instance. Anyways, they came on time and completed the work as scheduled. They work was done pretty fast. The first crew (outsourced to another contractor) came and tore down the old roof. They left quite a mess all over the front and backyard. Not only that, the nails from the old roof were left all over the place. The next crew that came to install the new roof did not bother to clean that up. I specifically asked the onsite project supervisor to remove nails before they left. I was stunned when the crew left without telling me. We combed through our yard and found at least 20 nails as we were worried about our daughter getting injured. We called them up, and somebody showed with a magnet to search for any remaining nails. He spent an hour or so combing through our yard to find any remaining nails and removed old wood shake debris by hand. When someone showed up to pick up the cheque, I pointed out the problem and he also went through the yard with me once more just to be sure. Anyway, what was a overall good job was completely screwed by this safety issue! Otherwise, I would have been happy to give them the highest 'A' rating. Another point was the invoice charged me for aluminum gutters even though the contract stated steel gutters. I asked for updated invoice when they told me orally that they had installed steel gutters. I haven't yet received the new invoice after 1 1/2 weeks or so.

They were prompt at doing the work. They came out and gave us an accurate estimate quickly. They managed to do the job very well. The person who did the work was very competent and friendly.

We recently replaced the roof on our home with Daddario Roofing and wanted to share our positive experience. Our old roof had started to show signs of aging and possible leaks, so we obtained bids from four roofing companies in the Bay Area (all licensed and bonded). Of the four contractors that walked-through, Daddario Roofing was the most responsive and understood our requirements. The other contractors were vague and did not always listen to our concerns and requirements. Daddario’s pricing was very competitive and the details were clear in their proposal. Daddario was a very excellent choice. Daddario Roofing obtained the necessary permits. Daddario Roofing was efficient, professional and courteous. The crew arrived early (very impressive) and removed the old roof and installed a new roof in one day. This included building a new curb for our existing skylight opening, closed another skylight that we no longer wished to have and replacing damaged plywood from moisture damage. They handled the City Inspector as well. It was impressive watching the process of demolition and installation of the new roof. The roofing team was magical in how the worked together and everything went very, very smoothly. We selected the CertainTeed Presidential Roof/ Shadow Gray, and it looks awesome on our home. We have no reservation for recommending Daddario Roofing. Steve Daddario, the owner, is honestly one of the most down to earth, friendly, owner/contractors we have met. And believe me, we have met quite a few contractors. One could hope that other contractors could be as professional and driven to customer satisfaction as Steve and his team is. We will definitely refer Steve and Daddario roofing, and would defiantly use them again!

Terrific work! We had been told we needed to re-roof the entire house due to a poorly installed roof by previous owners and were seeking re-roofing bids, but the estimator asked WHY we wanted a new roof when this one could be repaired! He explained why the roof leaked and that some tiles and supports were ruined due to improper ventilation...which we had suspected. Stunned at their honesty, I signed them up. Awesome workers -polite, clean, timely! Old-time quality, honesty, and reasonable prices. Call them-you'll be glad!

I bought this house eleven years ago, and the roof had problems that I was not aware of. After eleven years, the roof was leaking in several places, and dry rot damage was visible in multiple locations along the eaves, due to poor gutter work and maintenance, poor roof ventilation in existing roof, and sloppy work on the existing roof. Daddario did an excellent job from start to finish, took three days and were extremely efficient, pleasant to interact with and informative about the work, were able to easily make last minute modifications (such as addition of one skylight and dryrot work), and were transparent and fair about additional costs for dry rot damage. They subcontracted the removal of the existing roof and the gutter installation, and both went quickly and efficiently also. Their foreman Beto is very knowledgeable and was helpful and did good work in installing one new skylight and figuring out how to modify and replace another. They tidied up beautifully at the end of each day, worked diligently and did the whole job in three days. They also facilitated my using a credit card for some of the work (materials) so that I could get frequent flyer mileage! Steve Daddario is very helpful, knowledgeable, clear and fair, oversees excellent work, and I definitely recommend them!

New composition shingles were installed over the addition. New flashing was added at the existing roof and repairs were made as needed to the existing roof.

I got two estimates for the replacement of my roof and gutters. Daddario was much cheaper than the other quote. And, Steve Daddario, the owner had worked for another company who had replaced the roof on another of my homes in 1991. I contacted Daddario Roofing from a review on Angie's List. Steve Daddario returned my call about his quote and talked to me for a long time about his company and his crew and the kind of work he does. He suggested I put the new roof over the existing roof since it was still in OK condition and this would save me $850 in removal costs. Steve owns the company, his wife does the bookwork and he has one secretary in his small office. I liked that he is a small businessman who is proud of his company, his crew and the work they do. They arrived a day before to do some of the work and finished up and had the gutter company come the next day, the day they were supposed to come. This made me happy for they finished early on the scheduled day. I also like that Steve buys his materials from a building supplier close to my home here in San Jose so I was able to go there to pick out the color of the shingles. The shingles and gutters look so nice on my home. My husband used his binoculars to look at the work, saw some things he had questions about and the foreman went up on the roof and fixed what it was he saw or removed something there. The work was good, clean up was good, price was good, They did the job in the time frame stated, even before and finished earlier than I had expected. I would recommend Daddario Roofing in Santa Cruz for roofs done in the Santa Clara Valley. This home of mine is in Prunedale CA. outside of Watsonville, CA. in Monterey County, CA .

They were in and out, they were clean and efficient. They were courteous and had a very fair and good price. I thought that they did a great job and I really liked them.

Daddario Roofing has a great website with many testimonials to their work and price. My research started there. I called Steve for an estimate and he arrived in a timely fashion. Steve Daddario came and went up on roof to do the estimate. He sent his estimate within a week. It was all inclusive. His estimate was thousands less than two others ($18,500 and $15,500 for roof alone). Daddario Roofing had come highly recommended to me several years ago when they were Renaissance Roofing, before their move to Santa Cruz. Steve gave me addresses and phone numbers of several homes they had done so I might look at workmanship, various styles, and colors. I went with his advice on color and couldn't be happier with it! YOU CAN'T DO BETTER THAN DADDARIO!

Free estimate was prompt and thorough. The owner called back the next day to apologize for not taking the job. He took time with me on the phone to tell me the details his estimator had reported, why the project was difficult, and what other roofing company would be best suited to do the job. Great service for a non-paying customer!

Got a good quote, and work was done in two days. They have been really good about coming back to check on problems (caused by the skylight installer).
