Shawn was really one of the best contractors i’ve worked with in LA. He was extremely responsive in setting up the time, and came within within the hour window he gave me. Very knowledgeable around garage doors, he helped repair a door that had been knocked by a car. He also made me aware of an emergency release that the new law required to install, and he did the work. Very affordable, clean, and quick in his work. I would hire him again in a second!

He was prompt, accessed the issues with the current opener, made recommendations, communicated via phone calls and texted pictures and ultimately installed a new opener with 24 hours of the request over a weekend. This was an excellent experience. I called the number and it was immediately answered by Sean, who told me he was on another job, so asked me to text him my address. He told me exactly when he would arrive, and he diagnosed the problem immediately. After the reasonable quote, he set to work, but took the time to explain to me how the door works, how he was going about the repair, and also how I might perform proper routine service on the door. In the end, he finished the job earlier than he expected so dropped the cost of the repair by $30. I think he also performed a quick door tuning. This was a very positive interaction with a knowledgeable professional. Thank you.

Called on Saturday and Shawn gave me the possible reasons the opener may not be working, the possible repair for each issue, and estimated cost for each type of repair. He was available to come the next day, Sunday, to do the needed repair. After our conversation, I still had some questions. I sent him a text message and he quickly replied the answers with pictures. After researching the type of opener he uses and the companies reviews, I decided to go ahead with the job. Sent Shawn a text to accept the job and we agreed to a 10am. On Sunday, he text me 20 minutes before his arrival. He was on time, did the job in the time frame he gave me. During the entire installation process, he explained how, why, when of a garage door opener and answered all my questions. Shawn is very knowledgable re everything to do with garage doors/openers and is willing to share it. He even lubricated the hinges and spring and tightened a loose door track at no extra charge. I will definitely be using ZAAAP for all my garage door repairs in the future

I had been in contact with ZAP Garage Door Repair for a couple of months. We tried a temporary fix on our own, but it was still acting up. The day I contacted him again, he was out, within an hour. The fix was quick and easy, and he was kind enough to not charge because of that. (Or at least we are still hoping this was the fix needed! So far, so good!) He was kind and professional the entire time, explaining everything as he went. He was a little difficult to understand at times, but I won’t fault him for a language barrier! He was honest in saying that because our motor was more than 10 years old and came from Sears, he wouldn’t recommend putting a bunch of money into it if this ended up not being the fix needed. He was wonderful, and I highly recommend this company for their services!

The guy gave me an estimate range over the phone then came out to give a free quote once he saw the exact problem. He arrived within a couple hours of being called and had the job done within less than an hour and had been working great since. He seems to know what he is doing. Job was within the price he quoted.
