I contacted Jacob through their website, TREE-SERVICE-LANDSCAPING.COM.  I have used Viking Tree Service for over ten years and have their phone number, but it was night time and the website was very convenient.  I received a call back the next day and he came by right away to give me an estimate.
The price was very fair and since I totally trust these guys, I scheduled them right away.  There arrived promptly at 8 a.m., and did a really terrific job trimming that tree down, completed the job quickly, and also did a great job cleaning up.
I think it is good to keep the vegetation around my house under control and looking good. In the past they have trimmed and removed a lot of it whenever needed. A few years ago they removed a huge, very overgrown tree that was leaning too close to the house. Jacob explained to me that keeping trees trimmed prevents them from leaning and I have followed his advice.

The windstorms broke one of my trees in half. I called Macias Tree Service, since they did a fabulous job on my 80 year old avocado tree. Unfortunately they did not have the manpower to come and remove the dead tree, from my property. They said it would take two weeks to get the tree off my property. I wanted the tree gone. I had a hangtag on my door from Viking. I had nothing to lose so I called. The came out the following day looked at my tree, told me that I didn't need it stumped since it can grow back. I also took the time to ask if they could remove some shrubs that were choking some of the plants in my yard and cut back the persimmon tree. They said no problem and could do it the following day. They were a no show the following day, but I cut them some slack since they were not done with another job. They promised to come on Monday, but it rained. They promised Tuesday, and they came- an hour late. But despite their tardiness they made it up with the fabulous service. The left my median nice and pretty. The killed the invasive shrubs and cut back the persimmon tree. They even cleaned the leaves off my property and left it looking nice! The tardiness was not cool, but the work they did was great. I am definitely thinking of using them over Macias to trim my avocado, orange and peach trees in the late winter.
