They did a really good job and were timely with the cleaning, getting the rug back to us in about a week. There was an additional charge of $184 in addition to the $99 Deal.

2/2/15--The following is an update on my review found below. The owner of Superior Rug Services contacted me regarding my review posted below. He clarified that he did not charge me beyond the $85.00 that was advertised in the ad. This is true. The receipt I signed upon pick up had further charges written on it and I assumed those charges would be made. They were not. He also felt it was my responsibility to read the ad carefully and that it is clearly written that pick up and drop off is available, call for details. This is true. I did not call for details prior to purchasing the coupon and sought to share my experience about the cost for pick up and delivery. He also wanted me to understand that he paid a worker overtime so that I was able to come and pick up my rugs on a day when no one was at the building. I am not trying to ruin anyone's business nor am I trying to destroy a businessman who is trying to feed his family. I just shared my experience as someone who lives far away. Was it my fault? Ultimately, yes. Lesson learned. ************************************************************************************************************************************************** I had 3 area rugs that needed to be cleaned. A 2x3 foot, a 5x7 foot, and a 5x8 foot rug. I purchased a coupon on Angie's List for my cleaning. The coupon read "get $200 worth of rug cleaning for $85.00". I thought that was quite a deal so without researching any further, I bought the coupon. AFTER purchasing the coupon, I found out everything I should have discovered prior to buying this so called deal. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, PLEASE READ MY EXPERIENCE CAREFULLY: 1) Your $85 cleans ONE 5x7 area rug. That's it. No ups, no extras. 2) Despite asking them IN WRITING to contact me if there were up charges for anything, they DID NOT. 3) I was charged an ADDITIONAL $125.00 for two rugs. (The 2x3 and the 5x8) 4) I live in Orange County. NO WHERE ON THIS ADVERTISEMENT DOES IT STATE THAT YOU WILL HAVE TO BRING YOUR RUGS UP TO CANOGA PARK unless you want to pay outrageous pick up and drop off fees. There coverage area does not mean you get serviced without a drop off/pick up fee. Had I known they were in Canoga Park and that I had to bring the rugs to them, I certainly would have chosen someone closer. 5) While the owner's communication was good both on email and phone, he flaked out at the end. I scheduled a pick up date with him, took off work to drive from Orange County, and when I called on that date to confirm, he hemmed and hawed and told me no one was going to be there. I became upset and agreed to meet the truck at a job in Los Angeles. He then called 15 minutes later and told me to come to the job site in Canoga Park, someone would be there to meet me. Overall, not the best experience. Are the rugs clean? Yes. But for all the rest of the rig-a-morol, I would consider going elsewhere for services. It is true: YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!

I picked up the rug myself and saved $30.

We were very pleased with the service from this company. The rug was picked up, cleaned, repaired, and returned to us in less than two weeks. The rug looks beautiful!

My large area rug looks new again, thanks to Superior Rug Services. The owner went beyond just the cleaning to recommend a much needed rug pad to me. He worked with me to arrange for convenient pick up and drop off times for the rug. I do feel like the service took a while, but I did not ask how long it would take, and he did not offer that information to me. Overall, a good experience and I will use him again for future rug service needs.

Our carpets were picked up on the day and time we had arranged. The owner, Shane Nia, arrived with a workman to move furniture to roll up the carpets. We were provided with a detailed receipt and the estimated cost to clean the carpets. Mr. Nia called me to advise the condition of my rugs. One of the rugs had badly decimated fringes from moth damage. Mr. Nia advised me of the cost to have the fringes replaced. His people did an expert job of replacing the fringes, and the antique carpet looks like one that has rarely been used -- in other words, a gently worn, beautiful antique area rug. Mr. Nia called us when the carpets were cleaned and arranged for a day to deliver them. Once again, the owner personally came to our home, and with his employees, moved furniture to place the carpets in each room. I was very pleased with how beautiful our carpets looked. Upon request, I was also provided with a valuation of several very valuable carpets which had been severely moth damaged so that I could seek a damage claim. I was also provided with a cost estimate to have the carpets professionally rewoven. I highly recommend this company because the owner is a hands-on business man who is personally invested in customer satisfaction. He is very knowledgeable about rugs and will explain what he can and cannot do. It is rare to find a company whose owner takes the time to ensure that a job is well done. Superior Rug Services is a professional company that specializes in area rug cleaning and repair, and has demonstrated its expertise in cleaning, and repairing high value Persian/Indian/Turkish wool rugs. If you love your carpets, you can entrust them to Superior Rug Services.

They did an excellent job. I would recommend them to anyone who needs services for Oriental rugs. They appear to know what they're talking about and how to clean oriental rugs. I did not have any repair work done, but if I need it in the future, I will definitely give them a call.

Shortly after purchasing the Angie's list voucher I was contacted to set up an appointment. I appreciated that they did that. The people I dealt with were always polite and well spoken. On the actual appointment date the people who arrived were quite polite and even moves some furniture to remove the carpets. I was provided with a service receipt which detailed the additional cost that I would be responsible for. I was a little surprised by the cost but I really like my rug and agreed to it. Several days later I was contacted and told that the rugs were ready to be delivered but that they ended up being more expensive to clean than they thought and it would be an additional $200.00. needless to say I was not happy about this. I asked how this happened because no one ever called me to approve doing work that would cost me an additional $200.00. Like many people I have a monthly spending budget and this was going to effect me. They said they were sorry but that they are a professional company and the didn't want to do a bad job so they took it upon themselves to do a deep clean - mind you this is on a rug I purchased at TJ Maxx for maybe $350.00. While I argued this point they would not budge and I did not want them to keep my property hostage so I paid the extra cost to get by rugs back. Again the people who arrived where polite and placed the rugs back exactly as I had them. The rugs do look clean, but I did notice just the other day that a few drops of wax that were on the persian rug are still there, so its not a great job. My biggest issue is being upcharged without getting my approval. Its a terrible situation to be in when if you want to get your property back you have comply with whatever charge the service provider wants if you want to get your belongings back. For that reason I would not recommend anyone use them.

The scheduling department seemed a little unorganized, but the owner was very nice and tries very hard to satisfy. He was very responsive. The rug has a few wrinkles, but I feel that was to be expected. Overall I am satisfied with their service.

I would never use this company. Their pricing was ridiculous, and I feel the "deal" was a bait and switch. I DECLINED TO HAVE THEM DO THE WORK.

The one rug was badly stained, our granddaughter spilled her lemonade and it left a very bad spot. The other had a bad cleaning by another company. Superior came and picked up the rugs, cleaned them and then brought them back and relaid them. Very good job on the cleaning. The only drawback was getting the pickup and delivery times worked out, but we finally did. They did an excellent job, we will definitely use them again.

The service was wonderful because they came when they said they're gonna come. They picked up the rugs, took them away and brought them back in perfect condition. They were great. They really knew what they were doing with fine rugs. They just don't clean but they have a really good process. They have skilled people there to do repairs if necessary. I would give A for everything.

Everything was perfect! They were on time and they were awesome.

I was skeptical on how the results of the cleaning job would be. I had tried to clean the rug many times with store bought cleaners and the results were always poor. When I unrolled the rug after Superior Rug Services cleaning, I was amazed. The rug actually looked showroom new. My wife and I could not believe the fabulous results. There is no doubt that Superior Rug Services is the Best Rug Cleaners on the Planet.

Shane came at the appointed time, examined all my carpets (there were four of them) and told me what needed to be done with each of them, including repairs. He gave me an estimate of the cost to clean and told me he would call me with the cost of the repairs, to see if I wanted to go ahead with them. He did and I did. The carpets were returned on the appointed time and looked beautiful! Note that Shane and his assistant always moved the furniture (some quite heavy) to get to the carpets and replaced everything exactly as it had been, to the inch! Very happy and will use them again.

They picked up the carpets as scheduled. My husband and I sold our house and were going into a temporary apartment until we found our next home. Because we were downsizing significantly, we had to store most of our belongings, including all but one of our carpets. Our belongings are still in storage, so I cannot attest to the condition of all the carpets, however, the one we are currently using came back beautifully cleaned and look terrific. The cost was a little higher than typical as all of these carpets were hand washed. I would certainly recommend this service and look forward to getting into our next home and being able to use all of my beautiful carpets again!

they were very professional. They were running a special for $99. This was a large oriental area rug that has been abused by pet urine for a few years. I have cleaned it several times myself and the dogs always went back to the same area to pee. I was about to just throw it in the trash,it is still beautiful and looks new, but I was so frustrated by the odor. My husband saw the add and took a chance on the service. They have a great website that shows exactally how they clean the rugs. They were prompt and very professional...they also couldn't believe how much pet urine was in the rug. great delivery service. we would highly recommend their service and use them again.

Shane arrived when he said he would. He gave me the quote and took the rugs for cleaning. He said that it would take two weeks, but called me and delivered early. The rugs are beautiful. He also provided suggestions on how frequently I should clean the rugs. I'm very impressed with the results and very happy with the service. Thanks so much!

They're coming Tuesday to pick it up. That's pretty good. Maybe they could have not waited 7 weeks to retrieve by phone number from Angie's List. Originally I thought they would come in and clean the rug but instead they take the rug with them to clean it properly.

Great! I have a very high priced Antic Prussian rug and I had not done the clean because it is so valuable. He cleaned it, but he also fixed some things that needed to be fixed on. I did pay more, but it was great finding somebody that did Antic oriental rugs. I also had stains on the rug that he removed. It was worth it for me to get that taken care of.

This review is long overdue. So I called Shane, the owner, who answers the phone and is very responsive and very hands-on with the whole process. We have approximately 20 year old wool rugs of very high quality but have never been cleaned by this type of professional. Only dry cleaned (which I won't ever do again). So I was not expecting this to be an easy job at all because I know he does a very deep cleaning and God knows what lived in this 20 year old rugs. Shane picked up the rugs (he picks up and delivers) and because they were so neglected it took longer than normal to clean. About 4 weeks later I got the rugs back (normal timing is about 2 weeks I think) and they were beautiful! I did have an issue with an odor on one rug that sprung up that evening, which Shane attributed to a large dog I once had, that the odor was in certain areas only where the dog had laid regularly and now had surfaced in the cleaning process (not sure if I'm explaining this right), but Shane took the rug back and did a repeat cleaning at no charge within that same week. That helped reduce the odor but not eliminate it. On Shane's recommendation I then attacked certain areas where odor was strongest with Nature's Miracle Advanced formula. A couple rounds of that and the smell seems to be gone altogether. It's been a few months now and the rugs look lovely the new fringes held up very nicely too and the smell is gone. I have to say also that his prices are fair, comparable to his competitors, but his professionalism and punctuality are top-notch and surpass his competitors in my experience. For my next cleaning I will be calling Superior Rugs and will recommend to my friends. Thanks Shane!!! :)

Called on Saturday to arrange for service. Explained type and size of rug. Guy said he would have to arrange a toime to pick it up. Didn't hear from him on Monday so I called him back on Tuesday (today). Now he wants an additional $20 dollar pick up fee which I am not willing to pay.
