I had interviewed at least a half-a-dozen companies to do this work. I showed my detailed specifications and wiring diagrams of the existing system and asked them to up-grade the system. Typically, I was offered a completely new package based on a mostly wireless system with motion detectors and glass-break sonic sensors while abandoning the existing perimeter control with wired magnetic monitors on the doors and windows. This equipment was usually FREE contingent on a monitoring contract of typically 3 or 4 years at a healthy monthly fee. Bruce, Aronson, president of Secure Tech came to make an estimate, understood the situation immediately and suggested the system described above. The work was not contingent on a monitoring contract, however a discount was offered for agreeing to a one year monitoring period at a modest monthly fee. Bruce was familiar with the equipment I had installed in 1980 and was able to read the old wiring diagrams and readily adapt the new system to the old wiring format including a distribution of the monitoring system into specific zones. The motion detectors, the control stations, and telephone connection were added without disruption or mess. The job was accomplished in one day with Bruce and two assistants. Since Bruce had discussed the job with me when making the estimates and was also directing the installation, there was no difficulty in assuring that what was promised was actually accomplished. My wife and I are delighted with the system which is exactly what we were looking for. If you are seeking a custom system adapted to your particular requirements where ?off-the-shelf? components with long monitoring contracts will not suffice, Secure Tech is your answer.

Within seconds of hitting 'send' to send my email requesting an estimate, Bruce called me back. I told him that our condo's budget is extremely limited, so I didn't want to take up his time if his services would be in the thousands of dollars to meet our request of 4 security cameras. Without hesitation, Bruce listened to our situation and needs, and quite generously offered low-cost alternatives. At least one of those alternative would mean he would make no money from us at all. I was very, very impressed with his professionalism, kindness and generosity. If our HOA is in a position to purchase a security system, Bruce will be the first person I call.

If you are looking to hire the cheapest bidding company to install your security cameras, keep looking (and know that you will get what you pay for). If you want the company that will do it right the first time, call Secure Tech. From the (ridiculously) detailed/itemized estimate, to the care and respect these guys showed my home, to the beautiful, elegant install, Secure Tech is great. No subcontractors, no newbies - these guys knew their stuff and it showed. During the estimate, Bruce analyzed my property and came up with a security solution that would do everything I wanted/needed. He was very informative and happily gave me weblinks to the products he would be using so that I could research them myself (cause I'm the guy that has to do that with everything). Everything down to the line feet of cable was itemized on the estimate. On install day, Bruce and his crew arrived promptly and got right to work. Everyone was knowledgeable, polite, and respectful, answering every question I had. The install was performed beautifully with both function and aesthetics taken into account (I hate seeing wires and sloppy work - none of that to be found here, however). The setup was completed the next morning and Secure tech confirmed that I was happy with the camera angles before sealing them up. They also showed my wife and I how to access the cameras on both our home network as well as remotely via our iPhones. In addition to the manufacturer warranty on the parts, secure tech warranties their labor for a year and will come out to fix any problems that may arise. While I can't see anything going wrong, it's nice to have that peace of mind. If you're putting in security cameras, you're trusting that that footage will be reliable should something bad happen. I could have easily gone with a cheaper contractor, but didn't see the point in cheaping out when it came to the safety and security of my family and our home business. You really do get what you pay for and Secure Tech was worth every penny.

The experience was very good overall. They were prompt, professional, and careful about things like video coverage, much more so than another company we got a quote from. They have high-quality equipment, too. We just haven’t gotten the go-ahead from the owner yet.

Very professional and responsive. Detailed and clean work overall. Very knowledgeable. Security camera installer did detailed work and clean install, but did not respond to 2 cameras which were not functioning properly until I pressed them to do so. And there were no instructions for me as to how to operate the system. (In their defense, this was a system I purchased from Costco-- not one I bought from them. But they are the pros and it would have been appropriate for them to show me how it works. Again, when I pressed the matter they came out and did so right away.) Reliable, dependable. Not the cheapest, but I have personal service and he's local, and that counts for a lot. I also am having him do my alarm monitoring.

Bruce was very friendly and easy to talk with. It was clear at the beginning of our inital discussion that he is a top-notch security installation professional! He arrived a few minutes ahead of schedule and, after a brief walk-through of the job issues, he immediately went to work in a methodical and organized manner. The job was finished by this one installer in a relatively short period of time - a job that crews consisting of two and three installers were unable to finish in twice the time that Bruce used. He came prepared for the work and did not have to go further than his work vehicle to obtain the necessary tools and parts to successfully complete the job. Reliable, honest, and trustworthy professionals are very difficult to find in the Los Angeles area security industry. Bruce's time is not cheap; however, I am 200% certain that I recevied much more than my money's worth because the job has now been done correctly. Bruce's company is a rare find and one that I intend to share liberally with anyone I know in need of expert security installation and troubleshooting services. I have other security needs at other properties so Bruce will be receiving MUCH more business from me for as long as he wishes to have me as a very happy customer!
