It went very well! This was the second time Matt has been out to help with problems. He is very prompt, a pleasure to work with, has a great personality and very fair pricing for his work. He is our first choice for fixing any household handyman emergencies that come up.

Setting up an estimate was easy. Matt arrived the next morning for an estimate. Price was fair and work was quality. Friendly and professional. Would definitely call again for home repair needs.

After calling Matt we finally found an experienced man who could do the job and do it right. He was prompt, very friendly and professional, carefully explaining the work that was needed to do the job correctly. We were very pleased with the results especially since after he left, a rainstorm came and lasted the whole night. In the morning we checked the garage and found no leaks for the first time in years. His charges for the work was very fair. We will definitely refer him to others who need similar work done.

He's good enough that he saw that the fan control was installed incorrectly originally and that it burned out so he replaced it and also repaired the box. He's just very pleasant to work with and he's very knowledgeable about home repair. If there is something he doesn't do, he will be upfront with you and tell you.

Matt called before he came to say he would be here shortly. He arrived promptly. He worked quickly and was done in 2 days. Everything looks great! I have used Matt before and am going to use him again for brick work.

Matt is very pleasant, honest and thorough in his appraisal of the job so he can be sure to bring any tools or parts that are needed. He is punctual and communicative; if his schedule changes he keeps one informed. He works efficiently and does each job with care. We were very happy with all work done and would call him again.

Matt came over and gave an estimate which was reasonable. He asked us to buy the wood stain and paint so that we would get the colors we wanted. Because were going on a trip, we set the start date 2 weeks in advance. He called to confirm before started, but because we had been away we had not bought the wood stain and paint. He did not want to start the job without them, even though there was other work he could start while we got the materials. So the start date was delayed a week. Once he started he did a small job for free to make up for the delay. He took the door to his home shop to sand it, so we were without a door briefly. But it was back by the end of the day. He was punctual and professional, and cleaned up at the end of the day.

On Wednesday 5/11/16, Matt came to my house to see the work I needed done. He left saying that he would follow up with a quote by Friday 5/13/16. Two weeks later and I have not heard from him yet!!! Completely unprofessional!!!

Matt came out, as arranged and performed the work in timely manner Everything went fine ( I would provide more detail, if there was more to say, but it was a very small job).

I chose Matt Ballestero for two reasons: 1) the reviews I read, and 2) he was close to where I lived. Matt responded within the same day that I phoned him. I liked that he had a quitting time. To me, this meant he could give attention to any calls or concerns that he needed to address in a timely fashion. So, he was prompt and courteous. I needed his help with cleaning the lint out of the dryer vent that ran from the dryer down through the hose to the outside of the house. I managed to get something stuck in there too (trying to fix it myself). He took pictures of what he did, and there was a pan full of lint. I was very satisfied with the job he did. My dryer service contract person refused to go under the house and clean out the vent for me. By the way, NEVER use "Active Appliance" to work on your washer or dryers. That's if you can avoid it. They're the worst. After that, I asked if he would fix the outside gate. The hinge would no longer hold onto the door. The holes in the wood that the screws went in to got to big over time. I picked up whatever materials I could (even though Matt would have done that, I figured I would save time). He took the gate door to his shop to work on it. It was a very heavy wooden door he also repaired the door latch on it. That latch hadn't worked in over 8 years. Oh, yes, he also repaired a small leak on our garage roof. I'll let him know how it holds up when the rains start up, but I am sure it will. And like he said, if it leaks, I should call him. Can't get better than that! I was very fortunate to have found him. The dryer needed immediate attention. The other stuff had been on going for a few years. It gives me hope to know I don't have to wait years to get things repaired because there is someone out there I can call on. Someone I can trust. Someone who takes pride in his work. Peace of mind, you just can't put a price on that!

Everything went great. Mike came out and gave me an estimate, and we set a date for the project. On the day he did the work, he had an assistant come with him. Before securing each piece to the wall, he checked with me in advance to make certain the piece was in place where I wanted it.

Matt did a great job! He worked with me on a time to come over to assess the job, and then set a time and date for the repairs within a few days of my first contact. I can't do everything I used to do, so having a trustworthy, skilled person like Matt to help me with the more involved aspects of home maintenance is much appreciated. I was quite satisfied with the outcome of Matt's labors and his pricing. He is thorough, talented, personable, and fair. He is able to look at a job, immediately know what needs to be done, then price the project accordingly. Matt picked up all parts he used for the repairs at my house. I will definitely use Matt again for any handyman needs. He is versatile, and able to fix a great variety of things. That is what i need, because a person never knows what will go wrong next. Matt is a pro and a very pleasant person. He's thorough and competent. He did a great job. Our kitchen cabinets are 20 years old and were sagging. Matt re-hung them and now they are like new.

Matt was great. Due to water damage we had to have some base boards replaced in our kitchen. Matt did an amazing job with the cuts and installation. He is experienced and can do everything. I am thrilled to have found him and will be using him a lot in the future. If you are looking for a jack of all trades this is your guy.

Matt was excellent. He returned phone calls promptly when discussing the job. He gave a very fair estimate for the work. He arrived on time and worked the entire day to get the work completed (actually the job took 2 days and was more difficult than expected-Matt did not increase the price). He was able to save the original bricks which saved additional costs and most importantly allowed the patio to return to its original look. I wish I had come across Matt years ago. I would absolutely hire him again and cannot recommend him highly enough.

.The job went beautifully. Matt was always on time and always called before coming. It was a tough job which took longer than Matt expected, but he stuck to his estimated price. There were several instances where Matt demonstrated his honesty. He was very thorough with the details.

Gave a very detailed description of work he would perform. Completed the job on time. Kept us informed of status throughout the process and warrantied his work. Accomodated our schedule. He told me the cost before he started. He called when he left to come to my house. He arrived on time. All work was very satisfactory and I will definitely use him again. I needed a local handyman and he is it.

I had custom cabinets partially assembled for my garage by another Angie's List handyman. Unfortunately, they were not level, so when the doors were put on they were way off center. I called Matt; he assessed the situation, deconstructed the cabinets, rebuilt them square, and completed the cabinets with touch up paint and detail. He did excellent work and was very easy to deal with.

Matt and I briefly played phone tag - which was fine, and had a chance to speak by phone this morning. I explained the small (stupid) project I have which involves cutting and fitting a piece of peel-and-stick linoleum tile on a bathroom floor. The issue arose after recently replacing a toilet and the new toilet has a smaller footing than the old one. In the process of replacing the toilet, I learned that the guy who redid the bathroom floor three years ago neither removed the toilet first nor did he remove the old linoleum flooring. As a result, a small crescent-moon shaped gap now exists at front of new toilet. While I need a handyman for this job somewhat quickly, I am often in need of a general handyman - so was hoping to find someone to work with on a more long-term basis. However, when Matt quoted $200 to do this job - admitting that it was just not worth it to him to take the time to go to the store, buy strong tacky glue (for about $5) and do such a small job. I quickly realized that I needed to look elsewhere for someone to help with my fix-it needs.

He was very good. He arrived when he said he would and was very punctual and courteous. He did the job thoroughly and cleaned up once he was done.

Matt was very prompt, called the day before to verify appointment time and called the day of letting me know he was on his way. Very professional, clean job, explained everything he was doing. I was very very satisfied with him and the job he did, spoke with him about some other stuff I will be needing done soon and will definitely use Matts services again and also will refer him to my friends.
