Charles and his team at Imperial Solar did an amazing job installing our solar panels. I started searching for a solar company in February 2020 and narrowed my search to 3 companies: Imperial Solar, another local company and Tesla. Communication and customer service are very important to me and that’s main reason I decided to give my business to Imperial Solar. If any of you have ever experienced Tesla's customer service, you will know why. I have a Model X and my past experience with Tesla’s customer service was like talking to a brick wall. Tesla was very impersonal and they never replied to any of my emails when I had an issue with my vehicle. I didn’t want to run into the same issues with Tesla’s Solar customer service. Imperial Solar not only has live people to talk to through their contact numbers but they also replied to every one of my 30+ emails. My work schedule doesn’t allow for much free time so Charles was able to give me a price quote and had the contract all worked out via email. Never once was I pressured with a sales pitch or had a pushy salesperson breathing down my neck. Keep in mind, this was all pre pandemic. Imperial Solar already had the “no touch / virtual service” down even before it was a thing. The contract was Docusigned and we were ready to go…. but then the Covid pandemic hit. Imagine signing a contract and then paying in full to have 30 solar panels installed at the beginning of an unknown global pandemic. Charles put my mind to ease and assured me that the installation can be done with no personal contact. I’m so glad we moved forward with the solar installation. The city permits, solar panel installation, and SCE approval literally took less than 2 months and I was up and running solar before the hot summer months. Imperial Solar did a very clean, thorough job installing the solar. I did encounter only one issue after the panels were installed but it was due to my internet connection and nothing to do with Imperial Solar. I called Charles regarding the system not communicating with the SolarEdge app. He assured me the panels were still generating energy and he was able to troubleshoot and solve the issue that same day. So far my system has been able to produce enough energy to not only charge my Model X but to also allow me to keep my central air constantly running during heatwaves and bad air quality days from the wildfires. So if you’re on the fence deciding which solar company to go with, I highly recommend Imperial Solar. Their customer service, job performance, experience, and warranty is definitely better than any other company out there. And make sure you install soon before they lower the tax rebates next year.

Our solar system has been running now for a couple of weeks and we are very pleased with the results. Since we have had a good number of sunny days, we are now generating more power than we are using. We had all black panels installed with skirting and it looks beautiful. The team at Imperial Solar were easy to reach and stayed in good communication throughout the process. Imperial also installed a 240 volt outlet for electric car charging and moved an ugly wire from our HVAC unit behind the wall for a clean look. I highly recommend Imperial Solar for your solar needs.

Communication was quick throughout the process, not just the time before we signed a contact. My schedule wasn’t straightforward and they were able to work around that so I could be available for the install. I’m the annoying kind of homeowner who not only ask questions directly related to all the many parts involved in the install, but also general questions about solar. They patiently fielded the multitude of mundane questions as well as the important ones. Our roof had a lot of brittle tiles which required some ingenuity on their part and all cracked tiles were replaced for a fantastic looking finish. The roof, inverter and new electrical panel (we decided to upgrade from 100A to 200A service in the process, which Imperial Solar handled easily within the quoted price) have a clean, finished look that doesn’t need to be hidden away. Responsive, professional, on-time and on-budget.

It was a pleasure to work with Imperial Solar. They were a class act every step of the way. Going solar is a process that can easily get frustrating, confusing and potentially lengthy, but Imperial Solar nursed us through it with positivity and minimal stress. Our solar installation took 4.5 months. Had it not been for the inevitably slow response time of LADWP, I think it would've taken 2 months, tops! Imperial Solar gave us an excellent presentation and cost breakdown to kickstart the process and met our budgetary restrictions. We wanted our own electrician to install the required 200A panel and Imperial Solar adjusted to this without issue. They also took the time to install our panels with care over several days, much preferred to the bigger companies that slap them on and rush to the next job. Any hiccups, Imperial Solar took care of them in a timely manner. Imperial Solar was also very persistent with LADWP and kept us in the loop on all developments. This is key if you want solar in a reasonable amount of time. LADWP is a turtle that needs poking, and Imperial Solar knows how to do that. Thanks for everything! We cannot say enough good things about Imperial Solar. The owner, Armond Babaeian, came and provided a quote that beat the other companies and also promised 5 star customer service. He is an engineer by training, and understands the science, technology, and business aspects of installing and maintaining a residential system. He was pleasant, professional, and always delivered promised work on time and according to budget. His workers were the same, and Armond was on-site during the install, there were no major problems. We installed a 10.1 kW LG planel-roof system that we paid for in full. We originally chose US made panels, but the company filed for bankrupcy during the install and we wanted to change manufacturers to hedge towards the long-term warranty remaining valid. Armond agreed to change the panels at no charge and we are very happy with our system. Since the tariffs began, the same system would have cost us $4000 more, and we used the federal tax credit this year, which helped offset the cost. We went from $500-750/month electrical bills, to ~$50 month (2 electrical accounts, 3600 sq ft single story home with 2 AC, and 2 furnaces). In the 3.5 months since going live (mid-Oct 2017), we have a net monitoring credit of ~$242. Assuming a conservative $300/mo in electricity, the system will pay for itself in less than 6 years.

I had wanted solar power for a while but because my location was difficult, no one else could resolve the problems. Imperial Solar really listened and addressed all of the issues in the design phase. The installation went exactly as planned and my system is up and running. I would recommend Imperial Solar. Armond is really great to work with.

But Imperial Solar candidly was the only company that we felt comfortable doing business with. They have been nothing less than amazing and my project was completed without any hindrance in a matter of two and a half months.
