First, I will day that Doron stands by his work and if there is a mishap on the project, he will take care of it (with no cost to the customer). However, I would like to be factual about how the project went. On the first day of the panel install, his crew member drilled through the exterior wall (where the panel was being mounted) and through the drywall into my living room. This happened twice, within 5 minutes of each other. After making a drilling error once, I would have thought that extra care would be taken to prevent it from happening again. I will admit that I lost my temper when that happened, and I later apologized. His crew did a "mini" patch on the interior wall where the drilling had occurred.. It was a cursory patch and I later had the person who did the finishing stucco work outside (after the panel was done) further smooth out the patch on the interior of the house. A result of the drilling mishap, wall plaster fell down into my computer printer and when I went to use the printer, the paper would no longer feed correctly. Doron did pay for the replacement of the printer, so that was good. Probably the most significant thing that happened, was that the panel installation did not pass inspection the first time. The inspector was very strict and determined that the panel installation was off by one inch. That meant that the entire panel had to be remounted. While Doron did this it at no additional cost, it did require another full day of work for his company, and the inconvenience of me taking another day off of work. While I might not have needed to be home while the work was being re-done, after the "hole drilling" accident, I wanted to be there in case there was another mishap. I also was there when the inspector came the second time so that I could hear what he had to say. The project did pass the second time. I had used D & D previously for a smaller project and everything went smoothly. Overall, the quality of D & D's work is excellent. and perhaps the mishaps in this case were an exception.

My wife and I have used c on several occasions, and each instance confirmed we had made the right choice for the work that was needed. Doron Garby is completely professional, and we have recommended him whenever possible.

Doron was very responsive. He came to our house and had an estimate immediately that was 1/2 the amount that other contractors had quoted us that included 30% more work. He worked with us to get everything that we wanted done at a fair price. He had the work done in a timely manner and with minimal disruption in our lives. We will be using him for our electrical needs in the future

Here's the review I left at Yelp. I'm leaving it here too because it sums it up perfectly... Doron does not seem like a real person. I mean I went on Angie's List to look for an electrician and his company was top rated. I called, and I know it was a coincidence, but he was 2 miles from my house and on his way to an appt with someone in 25 minutes. He came to me first and was there in less than 5 minutes from me calling him. I barely had time to put my shoes on to greet him at the door. I needed a light fixture installed in my basement so I could pass inspection on a new HVAC system. He checked it out, told me he needed some materials and that he would be back after his next appointment to take care of it. This was after advising me that if I called the electrician who worked on my house when I remodeled it, the work would be free. I said no. I wanted him to do it. So he went to the other appointment, then returned in less than an hour. Installed a fixture and also caught the fact that my prior electrician had left a cut, exposed 120V line just sticking out in the basement. It was ostensibly for a powered driveway gate that was never installed. This open hot line was near wood framing and only a few feet from my 6 year old's bedroom. I had no idea it was there. Doron caught that, grounded it and boxed it as well. After all of this, he comes up and says, let's make a deal. He tells me what he would normally charge for a service call like this, and says give me $20 and make a donation to the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. I only had $10 in cash on me. He took that. So like I said, I'm not convinced he's a real person. Not sure I've ever met anyone so selfless and professional as well. Of course I have to write a review. Thank you Doron. I'm headed over to the Children's Hospital site now.

I will definitely be calling Doron for future electrical issues. And I'll recommend him highly because he's the best!

.I highly recommend Doron and his crew for any and all of your electrical work. Doron returned my call himself on the same day that I left a message. We scheduled an appointment for an estimate. Doron was prompt and right on time. He and his 2 employees were able to do most of the work as soon as I accepted his cost estimate. One part had to be ordered so we set up a time for that repair and again, he was prompt and the work was done. Doron is very knowledgeable and explains what he is doing so that you can understand. The two employees with him were great as well. Very nice, very thorough and all of them were very courteous. Doron does a lot of the work and also supervises his employees to be sure the work is done well. They do GREAT work!! I bought a house built in 1950 that had never had the electrical upgraded and it was scary. Called Doron and he called back to set up a time to meet. He showed up to our meeting on time and was able to give me a quote right then. Based on my research it seemed extremely reasonable and I liked him so much I hired him on the spot. Honestly, Doron is the best decision I made as far as this remodel is concerned. He and his crew are true professionals and I always felt very comfortable dealing with them. Doron kept my husband and I involved as the project progressed via text and pictures. When options arose I never felt pressure to pick the more expensive option, in fact he found ways to save me money. Ultimately the work they did was fantastic. I feel like he sounded too good to be true in some of these reviews but he is actually that awesome.

Extremely satisfied with Doron's services and prices. Had a defective ballast and called D&D. Doron responded the same day. Evaluated the problem and returned the very next day with replacements parts. Had them installed quickly, was neat and the results---PERFECT !!

We were very pleased that D&D were able to come out on an Sunday emergency. He was able to very quickly find the problem, a neutral wire had popped off an outlet. He took his time to educate us on how it worked, and how the problem occurred. Fantastic service! Of special note, his truck was clean and organized with every little part he might need..

It was great! They came about 2 hours after I called (this is my first time).I got their name out of the Angie's List booklet and received the first time discount price. They explained why they suggested getting a bubble cover for the outlet and I agreed. They were pleasant to work with and I would recommend them to my friends.

We changed our plans. We will contact D&D later.

It went very well guys was on time didn't waste time getting started. He looked like he'd done this before so that was a relive. Great pro did the job at a good price and our fan looks nice.

They City is what took so long with that. They won't let you put the panel in until they send someone out to tell you the exact spot where you can do it. In actuality the guy came out and chose the wrong spot and my electrician said it was not working. Then they sent somebody else back out who confirmed it. They had to physically designate a spot. So for like a day or two, I couldn't have electricity. He is not the lowest but he was very clear about what he was going to do. He cleaned up really well. I text him and he texts me right back. They were friendly and he really has a nice way of dealing with people.

They are just great and I would definitely use them again.

Doran answered the phone which gets an A from me right away. I called him in the morning, he quoted a price, said he'd come the same day. He arrived early afternoon and the job is done. Price exactly as quoted. Efficient, professional, reasonable. His guys cleared up after they completed the job, and you'd never know they were there. Highly recommended!

I've used D&D before at my previous residence to install a new ceiling fan and attic fan and when we recently moved to a new home he was the first call I made to correct and update various electrical and lighting issues. Doron was very good about setting up a meeting time to walk through the house and start reviewing the work we wanted to be done. Doron is not the cheapest electrician option available but he is fair and I went with him for a couple of reasons. 1) He's very good about throwing out various options without trying to up sell you. 2) Him and his crew are very efficient (they were done in a day) without feeling like they're trying to rush through the job or cut corners. 3) The quality of their work is excellent. My wife and I can be very particular if work looks like it was done haphazardly and with all of the work they did all of it looks excellent. 4) Doron is very amenable to fielding requests for additional work as the job progresses. We asked him and his crew for a couple of additional items during the middle of the job and they were all very accomodating about taking care of the requests. 5) They were very good about moving boxes and furniture and cleaning up at the end of the day. 6) A couple of days after the work was finished Doron called me to follow up and make sure that we were completely satisfied and that everything was the way we wanted it. One final note, as my wife and I were trying to figure out how we wanted our recessed lighting set up, Doron went the extra mile and invited us over to his house that was being renovated so that we could see the lighting choices he was having incorporated. All in all, it was a relatively pain free experience and despite the cost, my wife and I feel like it was money well spent and that our new (older) home is signficantly better for it.

The electrician came and gave us a high estimate of $4,000 to run cables under the house, and instead of consolidating our electric boxes, offered to put in a box twice as big as the one we already had -- He told us he couldn't put in a smaller box. We ended up not using him for our project. Used another Angie's list recommended Electric company who did exactly what we needed (consolidated boxes, removed excessive conduit, ran cables inside under house) -- for $860. Provider showed up at our house the Saturday morning after our review was posted to discuss the negative review (!), and once I reminded him of his previous visits, he remembered that he did, in fact, give us an estimate for the work we discussed.

Frustrated and baffled with our gate not functioning correctly (issue: it kept tripping the circuit), I called Doron on a Sunday morning over the holidays, and to my surprise, he took my call. Note: we had no prior working relationship with Doron/D&D, I just found him on Angie's List. I explained the situation to him over the phone, and he asked me to put him in touch with our gate vendor so he could better understand the predicament. Doron contacted our gate vendor to get some background information, and we made arrangements for him to come to our house...on New Year's Eve. He let us know when he was en route, and arrived earlier then our scheduled appointment time. After checking the connections and troubleshooting various areas, Doron determined that the circuit, breaker, panel, etc. were functioning properly. The gate started working again, and he assured us that there is no evidence of an electrical problem. However, if we do experience another issue with the gate, he volunteered to come back to our house at no charge and meet directly with our gate vendor to eliminate any electrical issues related to the gate. We will definitely take him up on that offer! While he was here, I asked him to take a look at our outdoor lights: two lamps with photocells and a set of recessed lights with some ugly rusting in the cans. Because the outdoor lights stay on all night, the darn bulbs keep burning out! He suggested LEDs, which are initially more expensive but more energy efficient and much longer lasting than halogen, etc. We decided to make the switch, and they look lovely. They give off a bright hue and look remarkably crisp and clean--no more rusty cans! We also asked Doron to replace a few broken digital dimmers inside of our house. All of the digital dimmers in our house are the same brand, and I had purchased some replacements on Amazon which were delivered just before Doron arrived at our house. Doron cautioned us about the quality of this particular dimmer, because they don't last forever. Trust me, we already knew that since we've had to replace some others in our house. But we like the smooth gradual way the lights turn off, and we like the way the switches look! "No problem," he said; he just wanted to make sure we knew the potential downsides of this particular product. He called me the next day (New Year's Day!) to make sure the gate was working ok and to see how we liked the LED lights. He also told me to have our gate vendor call him so he could fill them in on the electrical assessment. We're so impressed with Doron's commitment to quality, and he really stands by his work and the products he installs. We look forward to working with Doron/D&D in the future and are relieved that we now have a dependable and reliable go-to electrician for all of our lighting and electrical needs.

Prior to moving into our new home, we had quite a bit of electrical work that we wanted to address. I sought bids from 3 other electricians and D&D was in the mid-range of estimates, but at the top based on Doron's communication, professionalism, and confidence that he could get the work done on time in the short window we had. He explained everything he intended to do patiently and throughly. Given the significant drilling they would have to do to install recessed lights, Doron and his two-man crew laid out protective covering throughout the entire home. I was not present while Doron and his crew did their work, but he texted many photos and videos throughout the process to inform me of the progress and to ask my preferences when there were unexpected options. I appreciated how easy it was to always reach him by cell phone and how straightforward he was about everything. My wife and I were extremely satisfied with the quality of Doron's work. I have recommended him to my parents who have also had LED recessed lights installed in their own home. I'm very pleased to have an electrician whose work I trust and am recommend D&D enthusiastically.

They came and called with suggestions for upgrading rather than fixing old fixtures.Quoted for led lamps and we agreed.Did a great job and would recommend highly.

The guys showed up ON TIME! We had communicated the details of the job via messages and pics, so they were prepared. Mounting a ceiling fan, concealing the wires along a beam, Running wires within the wall to an existing switch. Much time was spent considering the options and I was presented choices before work continued. They covered everything with plastic, so that job clean up was fast and efficient. They even put plaster on the wall to cover a buried conduit..so my paint guy can just sand and paint! Really nice smart guys. They were done within the projected window and billed me the expected amount. Also, they showed me a few products that are new to the market to consider in the future. That is smart business and very helpful for we home owners who might not be aware of money saving improvements that are becoming available. A nice morning.

D and D was great, I would highly recommend them. Everything went smoothly.. from making the appointment, to them showing up on time, to their excellent recommendations/ideas, to how quickly and efficiently they completed the work, to their follow up after the job was finished. I received a personal call later that night to see how the new lights and attic fan were working. Great experience, I will definitely use them again.

It went very well! Mr. Garby came to my house and installed two ceiling fans. The installation was excellent and he left the job site clean. His price was fair and he was very reliable.

Our very antiquated 200A main breaker failed......again - on July 3 when it was 90+ degrees outside. I did find an electrician who was able to install a 100A temporarily and then ultimately found a refurbished 200A of our troubled unit. Not wanting to go through this yet again I turned to Angie's List to research panel upgrade recommendations. After soliciting a few bids, including one pricey bid from the company that initially saved us on July 3, we opted to go with Doron. Not only were his reviews on Angie's List glowing, he was also the most honest, fair, and reasonable of all of the people we saw, and he also had zero attitude. He was all about helping us. One bid jacked up the price of the city permit by 100%; Doron gave me his copy of the city paper work that showed what the true cost was and that is what we paid. He and 4 others from his crew showed up AS PROMISED at 6:45am and by 3:30pm they were done. Top level skilled craftsmanship performed by an unbelievably polite and courteous crew. They also rigged a power strip so I did NOT have to empty the fridge and also was able to keep my home office up and running so I had no real down time during the day. The end result is a brand new panel with clear labels and a great example of exacting work. Despite the scope of the work the back of the house wound up cleaner than when we started after they picked up after themselves. During the day I also spoke with Doron about the pros and cons of installing LED fixtures to replace our incandescent cans. He brought in a unit to show us how they would look and said he could install these during this visit as well if we so desired. Rest assured - there was no up-sell or pressure from him for us to go with the LED fixtures. He simply showed us the options and it was entirely our decision....and we opted to go with them and they make HUGE difference for the better. I would unhesitatingly recommend Doron to anyone needing this service and I will assuredly call him again if I ever need seriously electrical work done again.

We called D&D to install 9 recessed lights and 2 pendant lights in our living room, install lighting in our attic, rewire our garage, and figure out why we could no longer operate our dishwasher and garbage disposal at the same time. He showed us that the contractors who remodeled our kitchen seven years ago improperly wired our disposal and dishwasher, failed to ground several of our appliances and made some major errors with our electrical panel. We had D&D correct those errors. Doron was very prompt, courteous, and professional. He scheduled the city inspection, and met the inspector. We were very pleased with D&D.
