The first electrician who came out told me the breakers were working, so he said I needed to replace all of the conduit from the breaker box to the pool. It would cost about $2000, but he was leaving on vacation, so I'd have to wait several weeks. Then my pool man sent someone who told me the breakers were fine so the problem was either the power switch on the equipment or the conduit. He told me I needed an electrician. I called another electrician. He came out but told me he was retiring and couldn't take on such a big job since he agreed I probably needed to replace 50 feet of conduit by digging up my yard. Finally I got lucky when I called Doran Garby. He was on a job and very busy, but he had me text him some photos of the equipment. He spent considerable time on the phone with me and did eventually come out to my house. He found the problem in 5 minutes. It actually was a bad breaker. He replaced it, and the equipment now works. He was punctual, efficient and fairly priced. He will be my new "go to" guy for all electrical jobs, large and small.

Doran showed up with on time to give an estimate and get an idea of the complete scope of work. Once work started he and his crew came each day until upgrade, rewire was completed.

Everything went well. The job was done in one visit without any issues.

Doran figured out a solution to my problem over the phone and was amazingly generous enough to suggest it to me and allow me to test it out. It worked! He will be the first electrician that I call when I need someone in this trade.

I scheduled a visit and Doran arrived promptly on time. He's very friendly and professional. Him and one other electrician got right to work on the exhaust fan replacement. When they started it was clear that the job was going to be much more difficult than usual since I live in an older apartment. Never the less, this didn't bother them and they worked quickly to get the job done right and for the original quote. They made sure to clean up afterwards and got our heater fan working as well! I was surprised how difficult the job was and relieved that I didn't attempt to do it myself. The new fan works great and is such an improvement from the old fan. I would highly recommend D&D!!!

After checking the switch that I thought was bad Doran told me it was working properly and told me not to replace it, saving me money by not doing a needless repair. This week when I had an electrical power outage that affected only part of my condo Doran suggested I call DWP. I did. Doran then called me, twice, later on, to be sure that I was alright and that the outage had been fixed..

The team did an excellent job in a timely manner. The owner is very knowledgeable with his trade and good in explaining things, it gave me tremendous confidence with their work.I will hire them any time.

Doron showed up on time with 3 employees. They examined what they could and found that everything in the house seemed fine, but there was a possibility that there was a conduction issue with a couple of circuit breakers. Two breakers were replaced and the other breakers were treated with a gel to aid in conductivity. While they were here they finished installing an electric outlet that had been left by a previous electrician. Doron felt that there may have been a problem with the wiring from the city between the transformer and the house. The city came out and said it wasn't their wiring. Doron came out again and did a complete investigation; attic and everything. Doron and his guys found the problem, and it was the city wiring. The city then sent out a crew to fix their wires. Doron's work ethic, sense of fairness and integrity were extraordinary. He would not let it go until the problem was solved. Amazing. Not only would I hire him again, I have plans in the works for him to do more work for me.

It was fine. I was pleased with the work. It was not a big job, but it was satisfactory. They did what I asked them to do and that's what I paid them for.

Doron and his guys did an awesome job, they are respectful , honest and easy to work with , their prices are fair!! They also cleaned up after the job was performed, if your looking for an electrician look no further, CALL DORON!!

Doron and his crew of Mike, Leo, and Oscar did an excellent job of rewiring the house/garage, bringing everything up to code and adding many additional touches. They arrived early every morning and worked a good 8-10 hours until the job was finished. Great clean up, with everything hauled away in a trailer and the end of the project (which included all the old light fixtures, fans, electrical panel, and old conduit. This undertaking replaced the original wiring from the 50s and needless to say, demanded considerable code updating. Feel much more secure with the new wiring Doron came by the job site every day and when he stepped out to do estimates or get supplies, he kept in contact with the crew's progress with streaming videos so that everything conformed to his exacting standards. Communication was excellent and he continually explained the whys and wherefores of the enterprise to make sure all questions were answered. Lights are wonderful (came back with new fixtures and LED bulbs) and the dimmer switches are a complete delightful. Between the two, the electrical bill has significantly declined. Doron made several suggestions as the project progressed (recessed lights, LED security lights, the heat-sensor attic fans, and the new panasonic bathroom fans which are unbelievably silent -- i'm so pleased with all of his recommendations and so pleased with the job he did. Would hire him again in a second!

These guys were awesome. They came in and were very methodical about how they worked through the project (e.g., took all the lights down, prepped each fixture, assembled the lights, installed the lights), protecting and then cleaning the work area throughout the project. The owner quoted us the estimate ahead of time. When we called him after the work to ask how much the check should be for, he gave us the low end of the range he quoted. He also asked for immediate feedback on how the team did and sent us a follow up note with a copy of the PAID invoice. Very professional. Because these guys work based on time, there's always concern that they could run long, but these guys were a machine, and I think you get what you paid for. We hired a guy from Task Rabbit to do another chandelier a week prior, and learned our lesson the hard way. I'm sure D&D has multiple crews, but we won't hesitate to call them when we need our next two chandeliers replaced or other electrical work done.

It was not easy to discover the problem but they were like Sherlock Holmes and looked for each clue and discovered the problem and now we have light.

Doron called me within 2 hours of my sending him an email via Angies list. He gave me a few suggestions on diagnostics to make sure a visit was necessary. With Doron's help I found a simple fix and voila, no visit was necessary. I will definitely call Doron next time I have an electrical problem.

Doron and crew arrived when scheduled and were always punctual. All work was done as requested and with a friendly attitude. The original project was for additional lighting and convenient switches, but once the (1929) house was assessed it became apparent a complete rewire was necessary. When the work was complete, Doron walked through everything with me and also advised that any small fixes that became evident over the next few weeks would be handled promptly as part of the service. There are a few and I will be calling soon! Overall I am very happy with the service and will use this company again for any Electrical work.

I was surprised and delighted to see Doron and his crew an hour earlier than scheduled, and that 4 of them would be working on the project. Despite being the hottest day to date this year (110 F), they did not balk at the work or comment on the heat--there was no whining. Doron explained the entire process before they started work, and made it very clear what was in scope. Doron was very personable, knowledgeable about his business, and I felt confident that the work he and his crew did would be completely up to code. I would not hesitate to contact him about further work, and would be glad to recommend him to family and friends.

The workers arrived on time and completed the work in 6 hours. The original estimate was $1,200 cheaper than another contractor's price. Doron, owner of the company, was upfront about what work would be completed and the work they did not do (patching walls around outlets and wall switches). Doron was easily accessible by phone when the estimate needed revision and for scheduling the work. An additional breaker was needed that was not on the original estimate, and the cost was reasonable.

Using a smart phone, I sent a picture of a wall plug, and he called back with the solution. It worked. And he sent again what I should purchase to prevent future occurences.

I have an outdoor BBQ area that holds a built in refrigerator. Doron came out and searched and repaired wiring in the outlet to a fried junction box. He is quite competent with his knowledge and very reliable. I wouldn't think twice about using his service in the future. Very pleased!!

I spoke to three electricians about this job. Two did on site inspections and one gave me a quote without an inspection. Electrician #1 came out to inspect. He had trouble sending a quote via email and was the highest (in the $2k zone). #2, the phone/email quote, was the least expensive of the three. I felt uneasy with a phone quote only as the electrician may want to raise the price after arriving to do the job. #3, Doron's electricians, from D&D, came out and did a thorough inspection with photos, video and voice recording. Mike stated that he would send the quote to Doron and he would contact me with an estimate. Doreen called back within an hour or so and we worked out a very fair deal. We made an appointment for the following Monday at 11:00AM. He called me on Monday at my office to ask if he could come at 9:30 instead. After a quick phone call home, I was able to to get him into the house. They went right to work. The crew pulled a new circuit from the panel to the bathroom for the heat/light/fan combo. Installed the unit (a Panasonic which is very quiet and very effective). Added new switches and replaced the old rag wire with new wire. The Alarms were added as well as the closet light and all done in the space of about 4.5 hours. There was little damage from the installation and all areas were cleaned by the time I returned. We were very happy with the work and would recommend there services.

Doron could not have been any more wonderful. We called with a problem and he coached us over the phone to help us solve it despite the late hour. The next day, he checked in to see how we were doing and made a point to keep us aware of his schedule in case any openings popped up ASAP. I will only hire him from now on.

Installed a bathroom heater and a dedicated power line from the electrical panel to the upstairs bathroom. Top notch work and exceptional service!
