D&D Electrical Services did a really good job and I like the fact that the owner was there working hands on with his company.

I had another electrician come by and give me an estimate to re-route the wire. His estimate was $165. When Doron (from D&D) came, he checked a couple outlets (the other person didn't) just to verify what he was up against. We talked about a couple options to get the job done. One approach he offered was the same as the first contractor. I liked this approach since it was the most straightforward. Doron said he could do it that way no problem but he wanted me to be aware he would need to punch several holes into the wall to fish the wire. Since I needed some wall work done anyway, I said ok, let's assume we go that way. His quote was exactly the same as the prior (also licensed) guy, $165. Two hours later the job was done as expected, everything was tested, and I even asked for my Angie's List discount which we agreed on $150 as fair. He even replaced an electrical outlet that was suspect at no extra cost. Doron worked very hard, cared about his work, and had a strong "get it done" attitude. He is now my new electrician! BTW, his estimate was done at 5:15PM and he walked out my door at 7:15PM with job finished without trying to hit me up for overtime.

Things went as smoothly as they could have. I liked that fact that they didn't start the job and then take days off for weekends and holidays which would have left me without power during this time. His crew were polite and fully cleaned up before leaving. I would use them again.

Doron was straight forward from start to end. Gave options for what my preferences were. Cares about his work and does excellent job.

Doron was very good about coming out on short notice and diagnosing the problems. He also definitely cares about doing good work and a professional job, and he did both for me. He is very knowledgeable about electrical systems as well as municipal codes, explains the problems and what needs to be done, and can give you some options as to what will work best for your situation. I would definitely recommend him.

Called Doron at approx. 12:00pm. on Feb 2nd. 2011. discussed the above work. Doron told me that he would come and see the job between 1 to 2-1/2 hours from when I called. Doron arrived just after 2:00pm and thoroughly checked what needed to be done. Doron gave me a quote on the spot and told me that if I was satisfied with the price he could do the job immediately. I agreed. Approximately 1-1/2 hours later I had a working motion sensor light. Doron went as far as painting the J-box the same color as my stucco. Great experience would definately invite him back to do some future work. Great job Doron.

Overall I am very pleased with D&D Electrical Services Inc. Doran Garby was proffessional and curtious , found the problem and promptly corrected the issue. I would use and recommend this company for sure.

Doron took care of the permit and was there when the inspector passed it. Our old house has many quirks which complicated things, but Doron took everything in his stride. He honored his quote despite this taking longer than he had anticipated. We have done work on every house we ever owned, but I have never seen anyone more determined to make his customers happy than Doron. We recommend him completely.

Doran did a great job. This was a small job for a professional electrician, just install an outlet. But he treated the job and my home with great respect. The work was performed in a thoroughly professional manner and took less time than expected. He gave me a very fair price. I am very satisfied with D&D Electric and would use Doran Garby for an electric job, large or small.

I had a very good experience with Doran. He is professional, honest and easy to work with. He is very knowledgeable and experienced and even helped me by pointing out how some electrical work was not done correctly by a previous contractor and how I should go about resolving and correcting it with them. I was extremely happy with the outdoor lighting he installed - and both of our yards look beautiful. (I now leave the curtains open at night because I like to admire the beautiful and dramatic new lighting!) Also - because he was working on outdoor lighting that you couldn't really see until after dark - he arranged to come back to the house at night after I got home from work - so he could walk through the yard with me and make sure I liked positioning of each light. He didn't leave until I was happy with everything and also impressive - he refused to accept a dime until he knew I was completely satisfied with the final job. I highly recommend Doran for any job large or small - you will not be disappointed.

Some of the work performed was on D&D's recommendation and beyond my original scope of work. Doron was conscientious about his work and the safety of my home as I prepared it for rental. Work was performed as discussed, on time and without any mess. A pleasure doing business with him.

The work was great from start to finish. He started when he said he would and ended when he said he would. He is dependable and professional. I highly recommend D&D Electrical Services.

It went very well. I sent D&D an email from Angie's List and heard from Doron a little while later. He came out within the hour. He was very careful and thorough. He brought tools to check whether power was going to the transformer, and found that it wasn't. He diagnosed the problem, fixed it, and checked to be sure the lights were working properly. He had a motion-sensor light on his truck, and was able to install it the same day. He reminded me that he gives a $50 coupon discount to Angie's List members, and applied the discount to my bill. All in all, a very good experience.

He was punctual, polite, informative, and very generous with his time. I would definitely use him again.

I called Doron to request an estimate through the phone. Since the job I had can be easily discussed through the phone, he gave me an estimate without going to my house. He scheduled this job at 7am to accommodate my work schedule. He replaced the 2 outdoor light fixtures, and charged the exact amount he estimated on the phone. He was very helpful during this whole process, and did not attempt to sell anything even though I asked for a few more estimates when he was at my home. All the estimates he gave are very reasonable. Until now (2-3 weeks after), the lights Doron installed are still working perfectly.

Doron was a professional through the entire project. Starting with the estimate through several of the changes that came up, through final inspection. Additionally, he gave good advice on how the project could be improved over what I had orignally laid out. I have no reservations in recommending him to my friends nor will I hesitate to call on him again.

Look no further than D&D if you need electrical work. You get a precise estimate, a careful effort to keep from messing up your walls whether you need the work done outside (he did our front porch, back yard patio and garage) or inside. Doron Garby, one of the owners, executes everything he does with great professionalism. His service is prompt and at the time promised, and he stays until he gets the work done...even as the sun goes down around him! He makes himself completely availability to discuss any issues...in English. And he's a nice family man, too! Never fear the inspector coming; if for any reason the inspector has an issue (which probably will never happen, unless the inspector finds something in your house having NOTHING to do with the work Doron did...long story...but Doron will fix THAT, too!) We were very happy with the standard of work, price, promptness, tidiness and information D&D provided. This guy's the best!

My wife called Doron on Friday, and he promptly met us on Saturday morning. He provided a detailed, accurate estimate, then immediately got to work on our fairly large project. Everything was done by the middle of the week. He is honest, professional, and incredibly hard-working. We'd hire him again in a heartbeat.

Doron showed up on time each day and not only was professional, but quick, competent and cleaned up after his work and expedited the inspections necessary to complete the jobs. Very knowledgable, efficient and very honest. Was honest about having to add new circuits to upgraded electrical panel in order to resolve problems. (Other electricians didn't mention that important detail.) Very easy to work with, great communication skills, polite and first rate professional. Pricing reasonable. Highy recommend!!

I was going to have my so-called handyman take care of it, but after he looked at the scale of the task, he made up a lame excuse why he couldn't do it. This was the same guy who wanted to charge me $350 for just the fan when I was able to buy it from Amazon for $200. So I called about 5-6 different companies and had 3-4 provided on-site quotes and a couple of unseen phone quotes. My bathroom is approximately 50' from the panel and I was told I needed a new circuit(?) because of the heating element of the unit. The quotes ranged as high as $900 and D&D's was the lowest at $350, with rest of the quotes at around $500. However, Doron was also the only one who said he needed to punch a hole above the panel because there wasn't access. 2 other companies said a hole wasn't necessary, but they actually went into the attic. I was skeptical of D&D because of the low offer and the damage to my exterior, but I wasn't keen on spending more than I needed to and so I asked Doron why he needed to punch a hole in the wall when others said it wasn't necessary. He said he should have checked the attic and said he could do the job without punching a hole above the panel. I was still a little wary, but Doron assured his work would be topnotch and his price the lowest because he was the actual person doing the work and not an employee of a company. I thought about it for a couple of days and then gave Doron the greenlight. Doron arrived on time and the installation took a couple of hours longer than he anticipated, but he had to spend a lot of time cutting a hole in the ceiling, climbing in and out the attic, and finishing the wiring. It's been about 3 weeks since the installation date and the unit works great. I would've gladly rated Doron A's in all areas except he tried to sell us an attic fan after he was finished. It was sort of a hard sell and I could've done without it.

It went very smoothly. He spotted old electrical outlets that were installed incorrectly with improper/dangerous outdoor wiring and he corrected it and made it up to code. He had no problem installing the heavy outdoor ceiling fan and did it quickly and efficiently. I would hire Mr. Garby in a minute for other electrical work in my house.

Electrician arrived right on time. He listened as I explained how we wanted to run electricity to and control a new ceiling fan. He suggested a couple money saving methods, such as using a remote control instead of the wall switch. This would involve less drywall/ceiling damage, however I decided on the wall switch anyway. Before starting, he clearly explained what would be cut open and how the wiring job would be done. He did the work exactly as we wanted, making small square cut holes in the drywall to route the wiring. He used plastic drop cloths everywhere and worked right though until finished. He also installed the electrical box & brace designed to hold a ceiling fan. Even though he offered to assemble the fan for me, I wanted to do that part myself. So he clearly showed me how to hook up the last wires for the fan motor. He made sure to clean up the area when done. I payed him on completion and received an emailed invoice receipt a few days later stating work done and payment. I am doing the drywall repairs myself. When I assembled and mounted the fan, it worked flawlessly.
