I called Doron to make an appointment. He said that rather than paying him to make a housecall, I should send him a photo of the light fixture and he could talk me through the problem over the phone. He gave me a simple explanation of how to solve the problem and it worked beautifully. I appreciate this kind of honesty from an electrician. Many in this business would have charged a lot of money to do basically nothing. I will definitely use Doron again for more complicated problems and I will gladly pay him his rate because he is worth it.

Very professional, explained the situation, guaranteed the work. We had him work on our house two years ago and when we called recently for more work, he remembered us, the project and immediately worked us in to help us even though he was booked with multiple jobs.

Doron and his crew listened to us carefully and organized our thoughts so the job could go quickly and fulfill our goals. Doron was very helpful in trouble shooting the existing lighting and enlarging both the front and back yards. His recommendations on the location and fixtures were perfect. He also answered questions on some general electrical items. We are very pleased with his work.

I contacted Doron to troubleshoot the issue with my front-of-house lanterns that were not working. He arrived on time, spent 2 hours assessing the situation, giving me appropriate updates the entire time. In the end, he was unable to trace the source of the electric feed to the lamps and let me know that if I wanted him to trace the lines back to the source that it would be a project. He was very professional and knowledgable about electrical work.

Doron completed the work with two assistants - it took all day and was actually dark outside when they finished (they used lights.) Turns out that one of the circuit breakers was bad, so he came back the next day to fix.

D&D came and gave us a thorough estimate before the work date. We were pleased with their punctuality and professionalism during the estimate and on the day of work. They covered all of our beautiful oak floors and furniture before they started the work. They also cleaned up afterwards. They worked all day to get the job done, and finished the work within the time frame they estimated. We have worked with unprofessional contractors in the past and were VERY pleased with Doron and his two co-workers. They did a wonderful job. Would recommend them and use them again! -Lisa and Matt

I did some research online as we all should and do. I read a lot of reviews and got a couple estimates for some fixes/upgrades around the house. I checked Angie's List, the Better Business Bureau, and other forums. Nowhere else did I see the consistently positive reviews like Doron Garby's customer reports. I was skeptical that it was too good to be true. Doron arrived for an estimate but quickly won me over with his prices, guarantee, and diligent, thoughtful approach to each situation. He provides real-world advice and creative solutions that meet code requirements and are affordable and safe. I consider myself a safety n*** and/or a little neurotic, so I made sure he explained anything I didn't understand. I asked a lot of questions and he answered them all with patience and clarity. The work was done over two days because our chandelier was missing a piece and stopped us in our tracks. I didn't want to continue until the manufacturer sent a replacement piece.. That never happened, so I searched for and found a suitable replacement part. Doron verified it would work and continued doing our list of urgent items another week later. Doron and his assistant, José, both do excellent work. I was amazed at the attention to detail. José went the extra mile to prevent poking extra holes in our older home's plaster walls. And Doron is a perfectionist and makes sure their work has a clean finish and things are done right. The details are as important as the safety to him and it shows. He cares about his work and does it for a fair price. That's an amazing find for anyone looking for an electrician. I must say, my wife was pleased with the results when she came home. She couldn't even tell they were here, they cleaned up after themselves so well. I was pleased with the results as well. The work and finish is even better than I had hoped for. Doron and José did great work, were nice to our walls, and kind to our wallet. I can't recommend D&D Electrical highly enough and look forward to having them back again for other projects, small and large, as our budget will allow.

I have no complaints, D&D got the job done. I just had a ceiling fan installed along with the power outlet for it, but I plan on upgrading to recess lighting in my kitchen soon and will use this company.

Doron knows his job very well. He is very organized, responsible, personable and after all clean! I will use him for other electrical needs I need to get done , and recommend him to my friends.

Doran was fabulous. He came out quickly for a last minute quote and was very competitive with his price. He was able to fit me in with an extremely tight schedule and get all the work done even faster than I thought was possible. He was extremely accommodating to my schedule, was great with my dogs and took care of all the permits so literally all I had to do was write the check. I'm very happy with the work he did and the inspection went smoothly. He even threw in a new light fixture in my garage free of charge. Totally happy with their work and will be sure to use them in the future!

Don't let Doran's accent fool you! Doran and his wife (D&D) demonstrate that the American dream is alive and well with his successful family-owned business. I interviewed four A+ rated companies, but from all the interactions, I was left with the impression that I was doing business with a corporation of sub contracted individuals, rather than professionals who took pride in their craft. When Doran showed up (on time) and I talked to him, I immediately knew that he was a no-nonsense, experienced electrician who cared about the quality of his work and his A+ reputation of satisfying customers. He refused to sell me less than reliable equipment because he needed to stand by his reputation of quality. He didn't give me roundabout estimates; he told me exactly what it would cost given certain circumstances and equipment. No games, no sales pitches. And here's the one thing that set Doran apart from the rest: the guy who comes to your home and gives you the estimate is the same guy who shows up to your house and makes sure the work is done right. Try finding that in another company. All other companies send a friendly sales-representative to your house for the estimate and you never see him again. I've been down that road for a different home improvement project and I can say from experience that there is complete disconnect between you and the strangers who actually come to do the work. Then, you have to monitor the work and make sure you get exactly what you wanted. You never have to deal with any of that with Doran because he'll be there. To be safe, Doran told me that all the work on my house might take two days, but he actually did the entire job in one day and even came back to correct something that was actually my fault (miscommunication about the way I wanted my switches set up) . Not that this is valuable information for you, but I enjoyed spending the afternoon with Doran and getting to know him. The bottom line is that Doran is a great guy and hard worker. He was almost overly-obsessive in making sure my house looked immaculately clean and that I was happy with the work before he left. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs an electrician that is experienced in handling complicated wiring and complex installations.

I originally had a number of electrical plugs changed and added, but also a very nice fan in the bath put in to replace a small ineffient fan in October of 2011. When I needed to replace for the second time in 8 months a night light in the ceiling fan, I called and asked if there was something wrong with the connection. Doron was very pleasant and said he would check it and replace it for me. It was such that it was difficult for me to replace and I was grateful for his help. He came the following day, had bought a special LED light that should last for 27 years. He verified I did not have an electrical problem, installed the new light and would not charge me anything for the light or the trip - even though it had been 8 months. This kind of "follow through" is unheard of in most of my experience. I feel this company goes the extra miles to be sure a customer is pleased and will surely use them again if I have the need.

I should have written this review a long time ago as the work was done in May. Doron is very thorough and a perfectionist which is what you want when it comes to electricity! Like most people, we have used so many electricians where you find out later they did a shoddy job. But I have no doubt Doron did it right. It was a big job, he and his assistant showed up early, worked hard and got it done as fast as possible. They were polite, professional and cleaned up when they were done. Doron did such a good job on our new panel that even the inspector commented on how well it was done. The inspector initially found a problem with one of the wires but from something another electrician did years ago. However, the inspector wouldn't sign off on it until the problem was fixed. Instead of having to test all the wiring in the the house, Doron was able to figure out the problem right away, corrected it and we passed inspection. And he didn't charge us for the troubleshooting! I am happy we finally found a electrician we can trust and will call him for all our future needs.

I called D&D on Saturday the 14th looking for a qualified electrician to install some crawl space fans i had purchased - admittedly an unusual request. I spoke to Doran directly and he said he would be able to come out early in the week for a free estimate and if he had enough time, he would perform the work. He was upfront that he wasn't familiar with the fans - but he was confident he could figure it out (and I felt the same). He was early for our agreed upon appointment and he gave me an estimate. Unfortunately the work took double the time he estimated - but I was fine with the additional cost. He was a delight and we would most definitely use him again should the need arise.

Mr. Doron Garby was very responsive to our request. He even found shoddy workmanship from a previous contractor that I used and photographed the area to show what needed correcting. Even though the job took longer because of the previous bad work, he stuck with it and corrected everything in a timely manner. The project came out great and I highly recommend him for electrical work.

from start to finish, Doron exceeded all of my expectations. You will not be sorry you called him!

Very satisifed with how efficient and profesional this company was. Showed up for an estimate on a Sat after I emailed on Friday afternoon.Came back on Mon morning and the work was done by noon. Good price and very professional and courteous.

Doron was great to work with from start to finish. I called on 4/18 and he and his crew were here on 4/19 at the appointed time. They worked quickly and efficiently to make repairs and some changes to landscape system. Further, Doron made some very valuable suggestions to solve a few lighting problems; the ceiling spot over the computer (placed strategically so there is light but no glare) and attaching a spotlight to a brickwork planter to highlight a previously hard-to-light tree. The work was efficiently, professionally and neatly done. All were very considerate and helpful. I would recommend this company and call them again.

Doron removed the dusk-to-dawn sensors on the light fixtures hardwired to the front of my garage. He replaced these sensors saving me money and the need to search for fixtures with this feature that matched the other fixtures in the front porch area. He did the same for a large street lamp fixture I had installed a few year back.
