Description of Work: Nice man, cane over and measured the house told me the deal was for flat walls, no trim, eaves or fascia. I wondered why the deal was for two colors then. Then the deal was for 1500 sq ft and he measured my house to be 3200 so he then said the whole house would 8,000.00 more to do trim and fascia. I asked to do only the south and west walls without the trim he said 4000.00. I got the impression he only wanted to do the job if he could sell me an additional amount of service.

Description of Work: Jared Green arrived on time. He was very professional in both experience and knowledge. The product that he was selling sounded excellent but with the extra footage and trim I would have needed it made the price too expensive for me.

Description of Work: He came out and said the house was at least triple the square footage of the inside. No trim or doors or garage were included in the first quote. No remodels can be accommodated unless they do the paint - again! Just not interested in having a house a color FOREVER. I felt it was terribly unreasonable for such a small house - sealed or unsealed. You really had to read THE FINE PRINT on this ad. It could have been much more clearly written and saved us all a lot of time.

Description of Work: There was no service date, contractor only came to provide estimate. deal was $2,499 for 1,600 sq feet. my house came out to 2,700 sq feet, quote ended up being $9,000.

Description of Work: Jared Green from Approved Contractor is a very nice guy and I would recommend him to other customers. However, the handyman who is painting and doing some carpentry on my house recommended another vendor who is not an Angie's List member but who is highly recommended, well reviewed, less expensive and able to deliver my windows faster. Jared from Approved Contractor gave me a professionally prepared estimate in a timely manner and was accommodating with all my requests. He was just more expensive even with the supposed 50% discount that comprised his "Big Deal." The other major drawback was that Jared didn't bring clear examples of window styles. The vendor recommended by my handyman brought me actual window materials and examples of styles that allowed me to select my windows from different prototypes. I didn't have that same advantage with Jared.

Description of Work: I needed new windows in a home I just purchased and the "Big Deal" offer came up for Approved Contractor at just the right time. I met with Jared and the price seemed reasonable so I went ahead and ordered them on the spot. Soon thereafter, Jared's installer contacted me to schedule a time to measure the windows. Jose was on time and extremely courteous and detail-oriented. He even offered to help with a problem I was having with my front door! Within about 3 weeks, I received a call that the windows were in and they were willing to work with my schedule to come and install on a Saturday. Jose was on time arriving at 8am on the dot! They were efficient and had the windows installed within a few hours even though my existing windows were probably very difficult to remove having been painted and caulked shut by the former owner. The new windows look great - a huge improvement from what I had. I know the true test is time to see if the installation holds up, as well as the efficiency of the windows, but so far everything is great and I highly recommend Approved Contractor.

Description of Work: Jared came out on time and was very helpful. We ha other bid including lower ones but we went with Jared. I signed the contract in the morning and my windows where measured for order by 3 pm.
