Excellent. The crew was polite, cheerful, worked well together and couldn't have been better! The shutter team, Carlos & Lewis, were incredibly efficient and very friendly!

Did not hire because I did not have money to pay the quoted price.

Jared came over and talked us through our options, with prices for every option. In the end, he recommended that we just hire a glass company to replace panes, and wait until we're ready to re-stucco the exterior before we replace all the windows. When a contractor comes over and talks himself out of a job by explaining another way to solve your problem for thousands less, you know he's a mensch. When we do finally decide to do the job, Approved Contractor will be our first call.

Work not done. Job too small. Met with Jared. He was honest telling me the job was too small; however, he gave me good advice on what to do about finding someone that would do the jobs. Appreciated his honesty and advice.

2 men showed up to remove the windows. This involved removing and 8 inch ring of stucco from around the windows. They tried to do this from ladders and when the job was about half done they informed me that the windows could not be removed from ladders and they left. A week of delay followed while we waited for scaffolding (which was always going to be required to apply the new stucco). With the scaffold up, removal was completed. I was not present when the windows were removed. I assumed that the workers had been informed that the windows were alarmed. This means that the window frames are connected to electrical wires in the wall. I don?t think the workers knew about alarmed windows (very common in high end houses). All that was required was that a hole had to be drilled in the new window frame so that the alarm wires in the wall would be available to the alarm company. The size of the hole plus the existence of the the alarm sensor could have easily been determined by looking at the old windows. I?m surprised that no one noticed that when the windows were removed they had to literally tear them from the alarm wires in the wall. I assumed that a window replacement company would be aware that alarms could be present ? especially since I had informed the owner that the windows were alarmed. Once the new windows were installed to the alarm system both windows appear open. Again, this is something I would expect a replacement company to be aware of. Normally when I exit the house I enter a simple code to alarm the system (all windows and doors are alarmed). If any of the alarm points shows ?open? the system won?t arm. There is an override sequence which I will now have to perform every time I enable the alarm system. I wrote the owner to express my disappointment that the information about the alarm system had been ignored. Here is his reply: ?I'm surprised to hear your critique and negative remarks about my installation crew.I feel we did an excellent job and followed through on everything promised. I am truly sorry you don't feel the same.?

They had about a 2-3 week wait time to schedule, which is fine, but they started on a monday and then they finished on a thursday, which included power hydro washing, one day to dry, primer, then high quality paint. I had 3 bids, and this firm came in the highest in fact, but they had the best guarantee of coverage for labor, paint, etc., so I went with them. Usually you get what you pay for.

Lied about the amount of square footage to inflate the cost. My house is 863 square feet, told the roof was 1500 square feet with a 7/12 pitch. Other bids estimated 1000 square feet with 6/12 pitch. Beware.

From start to finish they were polished, professional, hard-working, considerate and efficient! Jared and his team had my entire home transformed in 2 days! The guys laid sheets down where they worked so they didn't get dirt on my carpet and they were great about vacuuming up any dust after each window was completed. The installation was fast and smooth. The windows are excellent quality and the workmanship is superb! We couldn't be happier with our new windows!

Jared and the team at Approved Contractors Inc. did a great job on our window project. We replaced all the windows in our home and converted one window into a sliding door. Jared's quote was very competitive, and the experience was very professional from start to finish. I appreciated that Jared works with the same team on all his window projects, and the crew that did our work was very professional. I felt like we were in great hands from start to finish, and the end result looks great. When we got to the end of our project, we were looking at some significant dry-wall and stucco repair in our kitchen. Jared's policy is typically to not include these services in his window quotes, as there is no way of knowing really what the scope of that work will be until the old windows are out and the new ones in. We had assumed that this would not be covered as part of the window contract, however Jared called to let us know that he had reviewed the contract and discovered that he had included those repairs in the original quote. We should have done a better job of reviewing the contract ourselves, but I was impressed that Jared took the initiative to review the contract on his own, and had the integrity to let us know. If he had kept his mouth shut, I'm sure we would have paid extra for the work and been none the wiser. As it was, he performed the additional repairs at no further cost to us. When it comes to windows, my experience was that everyone is basically offering the same products. It comes down to finding a company that you can trust to treat you fairly and do a great job. I can vouch that Jared and his team fit the bill, and would definitely recommend them again.

Jared and his team did a great job. After the initial "completion" of the job, there were a few issues that I felt needed to still be addressed. They responded very quickly and very positively, resolving everything to my satisfaction, and with no argument at all. We even changed our mind about the color we wanted for the gutters, after seeing that the color we had originally picked didn't look the way we expected. They repainted the gutters with the new color for a small but fair additional charge. They did trample some of our plants in the process of re-coating the house. I feel like a certain amount of that has to be expected in such a job - there's almost no way around it. So I'm not too worried about it. The plants will grow back. I would also recommend to anyone getting this kind of work done, no matter who you get to do the job, that you be very specific with the contractor about what you want done. They made a few assumptions on this job that they ended up having to come back and redo. It would have saved everyone involved a significant amount of time and effort if we had all been more explicit about what they were going to do beforehand. Make sure that you and your contractor are on the same page about every detail, and there won't be any surprises.

I called Jared at the main office because I wanted to make sure things were being done correctly. I expressed concern that I thought I saw the lead of the project (Jesus) hand money to a worker at the end of the day through his truck and I wondered if they were hiring people from Home Depot or Lowe's as opposed to having their own workers. I thought they said they used their own team to make sure things were done right but I could have misunderstood. I have never had a new roof and I just wanted to make sure it was done right so I called the lead of the project. I do not know if he was having a bad day or what was going on but he seemed very angry and put off that I called. I was told that they would start again Monday and finish on Tuesday. When I spoke with Jared he seemed upset with me and said there must have been some sort of miscommunication because the job was supposed to be completed on Monday. When I handed the phone to my friend so that he could speak with him Jared hung up the phone.

Work went well, finished at predicted time. Professional job. Easy to deal with.

The team did a great job and cleaned up after themselves when the work was completed. Marcos and Carlos were courteous and respectful and did a great job. I am very pleased with the work performed.

Did not go well. He seriously overpriced me, he wanted an additional $7000. He has unusual method of measuring the exterior. I would not hire him

I don’t have comments on their workmanship because Jared Green, the owner, inspected our situation and advised *against* hiring him at this time because the painting repairs we thought we needed were not, in fact, really necessary, and did not, in his expert opinion, merit his minimum charge. In other words, with an integrity and professionalism sadly lacking in many contractors and repair-people, Jared talked himself out of a job! And he drove all the way down from his office in Encino to our home in Cheviot Hills to do so. He also gave us some very useful information about caring for the appearance and well-being of the exterior of our house. So, we cannot say enough good things about this chap and his company. As I told him when he left, we will be getting back to him in the future when we need his services.

I went over the proposal with the provider, but there were some additional costs I wasn't anticipating. I am going to sell the house, and I couldn't spend that much money for a house I'm not going to keep. I have requested a refund for the offer from Angie's List. If the situation were different, I would definitely work with the provider. He was a very honest guy.

Approved Contractor, and especially its owner Jared, is professional, prompt and provides a great quality and value. Jared helped with selecting what we should install and gave us a competitive price. My new sliding doors are perfect. And the new kitchen window is incredible - so much light comes into my kitchen now. Thank you Jared and Approved Contractor!

Approved Contractors were always on time and had consistently great customer service. All employees were extremely dedicated and took care of the "little things", as well as the main parts of the job. I would recommend them to anyone wanting new windows installed or texture coating of their home.

Perfectly. In addition to replacing the window, the worker (Jose) cut our marble counter top to fit the new window, installed the new window without damaging the external stucco, and cleaned up inside and out---all for several thousand dollars less than we'd been quoted by other bidders. The work was done quickly, cleanly, beautifully---and without delays. I will contact Jared Green and Approved Contractor first for any other work on my home.

This was a $2,999 big deal purchase. It went well. There was a problem but he came back, fixed it and took care of it. He stood by his word and resolved the issue. He was good. He answered phone calls, emails and whatnot. He did not do the actual work, he had his guys do the work. That guy, Raphael, was not good and I am hoping he does not use him any more. He sent him back to do work on my place when they fixed the problem. He did two different attempts and cut a lot of corners in both attempts and that is why they had to send someone different back later to fix the problem. It was one of those things where they said it would take 30 days to cure. So I kind of had to wait to see. I was still having problems so they came out and fixed it.

Owner came out and provided sales information that cost more than the Big Deal. Installer came out and measured two weeks later after several contacts. Two months later got a call the night before installation. Install was completed in five hours, but upon examination all the windows needed adjustment. The next day window installation refuse was found in the recycling bin.

Jared provided an estimate on the spot when he consulted with me. He was responsive to questions and concerns and confirmed schedule ahead of time. His team was professional, communicative, friendly, respectful and did superb work. Both Jared and Ishmael, the team leader on my project, were responsive to questions, requests and concerns. I highly recommend them and would use them again.

Jared and his team were very professional. I couldn't believe how quickly the job went. All the windows were mounted on the first day and the trim work was completed on the second day. The windows look great, eliminate outside noise and significantly reduce the radiant heat coming in the house. I can’t wait for summer.

Jared is very professional, really knows his business, and clearly has good people working for him. He was always very punctual as well as very forthcoming about all choices in regards to the project. He seemed to have an encyclopedic knowledge of window styles and history, which is very helpful if you haven't made final decisions on a project. You can tell he takes pride in his work and I was very confident giving him my business. Would certainly hire again and recommend.

The owner, Jared Green, came to my house and explained the different models of Anlin Windows that I had already researched and how they compared with other brands. He did a rough measure and gave me an estimate. I also got an estimate from American Vision Windows which is a much bigger company and offers a slightly different product. When Jared met their price, I went with Approved Contractor because of the Angie's List reviews, especially for the installer, Jose, who I specifically requested do the job. The install was done in a very long day and went well and the clean up was good. The only reason I gave a "B" for quality is because a wrong latch was installed on the screens and one of the doors doesn't close exactly right. I called Anlin and was impressed with their service - 2 factory repairmen came out and replaced the screen latches and took off a sliding door and made an adjustment to it, but it still is not exactly the way it should be. I will have to have them come out again. I was going to go with a different type of latch, but Jared convinced me that the cam locks were more secure and easier to see whether they were locked or not and I am glad I followed his suggestion. It is easy to tell if the windows and doors are locked by the position of the latch so that I don't have to touch each window and door and pull them to be sure they are locked.
