I looked at what was required for the job and chose not to continue with the project at this time. I have chosen to seek a refund with Angie’s List.

You can't go wrong with these guys. Jared was great with explanations on the first consultation. I had plenty of questions, he was patient and kind. He spent at least a couple of hours showing me the product and going over the install and answering all of my questions. Jose the installer was equally AMAZING! I wasn't around to let them in or monitor them. My roommate let them in and they were done in around 4 hours max. I was AMAZED. I came home at lunch to pay them and check out the quality of work. Needless to say, the work was GREAT! These windows are great and not hard to open or too stiff. I could tell immediately the sound outside was much more muffled than it once was. Jose was so nice, he actually showed me how to remove the moving window pane, if needed. AND when I briefly asked him about my leaded windows he also showed me what parts I needed to make them function again. He, in no way, owed me any explanation for a product that wasn't theirs, but he took the time anyway. Can't recommend them enough. Best deal for great quality install.

First of all, I am big on customer service. I am also big in communication. Both Jared and his installer were professional and answered any questions I had. Jose and his assistant were courteous, clean and friendly. Jose answered questions easily like a man who knows his craft. Jared called a few days later to follow up and see if I was satisfied. The end result....I plan to call Approved Contractor again when I am ready to finish my house. I am a happy camper and would recommend them anytime.

He was very polite when he came and originally told me about the deal and everything, and his crew that he sent out were very professional. I love that they cleaned the windows after they installed it, because I was thinking was going to have to do it but they did it.

Jared is one of the best contractors I have used in years. He is punctual, flexible, and stands behind his work and product that he sells. I highly recommend the company and the work that was done. I will use them again.

Jared and his team were fantastic. He was very responsive and informative, his crew was extremely professional and quick. They replaced 7 old windows with dual pane, energy efficient ones that immediately improved the appearance of our home and, more importantly, improved our home's energy efficiency. We highly recommend his company.

I wanted to replace some of my old windows from the 80's with new energy efficient and quiet ones. Jared came over to discuss and was very easy to deal with. I live in a HOA so windows needed to be specific and also had to meet code requirements. This of course added to cost along with having some large windows. Jared took care of dealing with my HOA. I was kept informed of the process and when windows would be ready to install. Actual installation went without a problem. Windows are now installed and look great. I would recommend and would use again.

I was very happy with them and I would use them again. He did everything he said he would do. It went very well. I had an alarm system connected to the windows. To put in a new window they had to disconnect the alarm system. The contractor paid for the alarm company to repair the alarm and put it back in. I had no problems there. Some people may have had an argument. I was very happy. I would give them top marks across the board.

Jared Green of Approved Contractor came over and inspected the doors and thresholds. This was a major job that would take several weeks, and Jared gave us a fair estimate of approximately $500 a door. The doors were very weather worn and sun damaged and we thought we would have to ultimately replace some of them at a cost of over $1500 each. However, Jared said he could save them and his team of amazing woodworkers showed up on time and began masking and sanding each door. We had a little problem with the weather not cooperating, as many of the mornings were overcast and very damp - not conducive to painting, and a couple doors had to be redone. But here's the best part about Approved Contractor: Jared treated my doors like his, and when he saw a few signs of the stain buckling, he had the guys restrip the doors and reapply a perfect layer of stain and sealer. We were so embarrassed about the doors before we had them done and now we are very happy with the results and have replaced all the hardware since they look so new! It was a pleasure working with these guys and we will call them again as soon as we need their services. They do it all!

They did a very good job. I was pleased with their work. Everything was really nice. The only thing that I didn't take into consideration is that the deal was for a certain amount of square footage and it turned out that my house was larger than that...so I ended up paying probably double for what the deal was. Everything that they said they're going to do...they did. I have absolutely no complains about their work. It was beautiful. Just the people need to read the final print and realize that if it says it's for a twelve hundred square feet and your house is sixteen hundred square feet...you have to pay for extra for the extra footage. It's right there but I didn't take it seriously enough and realize I'm going to pay much more than what the deal said. I like that they did exactly what they said they would do. That they cleaned up when they were done, they didn't leave anything for me to deal with. They were a good work people, they turned up on time, they did the job and they left to clean.

They finished the service in one day. They did a great job. The only problem I have is that I haven’t received an email receipt from them so I can get my mail in rebate.

They did a fantastic job, and left everything cleaned up. I'm very pleased with how the house looks. I just wish I had read the fine print better--the job cost more than the Big Deal because the actual square footage was greater than what the advertised special covered.

I had a fantastic experience with Approved Contractors. Jared, the owner, came to my house to explain in detail the process and the benefits of his service. He was willing to come outside of business hours because I work so far from home. He measured and gave me a price on the spot. He was prompt, friendly, knowledgable, and VERY helpful. Soon after one of the employees came out and did a precision measurement so that the windows would fit perfectly. On the day of the installation, the workers were very professional and finished faster than expected. They gave me an easy to understand explanation of how the windows lock and how to clean the panes without having to get a ladder (second floor). They left my house in exactly the same condition they arrived to (if not even cleaner). I found the price to be very reasonable and I believe I got my money's worth. I would highly recommend using Approved Contractors again, and when I decide to replace the rest of my house's windows, I will definitely use them.

Jared, the owner, came all the way from Encino (90+ minutes) to give me an estimate. He was pleasant and professional. Not at all pushy. He explained everything clearly. The quote he gave for high quality windows was significantly less than quotes I received from other vendors that offered a substantially lower quality product. As soon as I close escrow, I am having these windows installed. I can't believe this deal.

We scheduled a windows consultation and Jared came to our home to give us an estimate on replacement windows. He was terrific and his product was top of the line. After he left he followed up later that day with a proposal and sent us an email with pricing information. We had another service provider that we had coming to give us an estimate later that week and he sold a more middle grade type of window and the price was much better because of it. So we decided to go with that service provider instead because of affordability. If pricing was not an issue, we would have most definitely gone with Jared. Even after informing him of our decision to go with some other company, Jared still tried to persuade us and sweeten the deal but we had already ordered the windows and it was a little too late. We appreciated his efforts and won't hesitate to recommend him to anyone we know needing high quality window replacements.

Jared and his crew were prompt and professional. They did a good job and cleaned up after they were done. No complaints at all.

We didn't end up going with Jared and Approved Contractor (due to a detail that I won't explain here), but the overall experience was positive. Jared was extremely quick to answer questions online via email and was professional when he dropped by our place to examine our windows. Though the window estimates we got were for completely different windows, the estimate from Approved Contractor seemed reasonable. If you're searching for quality windows, consider putting Jared and Approved Contractor on your list.

It was a great service. One technician came out and he took about 2 hours. He did a fantastic job with replacing a window on an outside wall. He also got right back to me quickly and set up an appointment. The entire process was excellent. I wished Angie's List would let me give him an A+ in quality.

First experience with Angie's list and unfortunately not a good one as I wasted my time. Bought 2 coupons and read the fine print - your ad said I could buy up to 4 coupons ($280 for $500) - I bought 2 for a total of $560 to replace a window. The ad said towards windows, siding. I made an appointment. The owner came to my house. He gave me a quote for a wood window of a bit over $1000 - I thought that what I had bought would cover it. It covered nothing because: a) I should have been allowed to buy only 1 coupon - the ad said I could buy up to 4. b) the deal was only towards vinyl windows and not wood - your ad didn't specify that at all. I showed your ad to Approved contractor and the man said that this ad was all wrong and that i should get a refund because he couldn't honor the deal you advertised. He called you guys when he was at my house - and you sent me this email to fill out...

Our experience with Jared was very good. Too bad that we can not use his service. It became clear that what we need is just glasses instead of windows.

They were very professional and helpful. Product quality is very high and materials are made in USA.

Everything went well. They were fairly quick to contact me to set up the appointment. Two crew members came out to do the work and it took a few hours to complete, they were very quick on the job. I am happy with the service and they followed up after the work was done to make sure I was satsified.

Fast response from owner. 4weeks for delivery - as promised. Installers were right on time , completed the job and cleanup quickly. Beautiful windows. No damage to stucco. Cleanup complete. Would highly recommend them.

It went absolutely amazing. My first contact with Jared was through e-mail followed by a couple phone calls finishing with an in-home meeting/free estimate. Jared personally oversaw every aspect of the job from start to finish including a post-job follow-up to make sure my family and I were 100% satisfied with the our new windows. I think the biggest surprise was there was no surprises or disappointments!! Everything went extremely smooth and followed the timeline to a "T." The installation crew (Jose and Prai) were on-time, clean, courteous/polite, professional, and hardworking (completed the job in less than 8 hours). When Jose and Prai were finished, they cleaned up the work site, made sure we were happy with their craftsmanship, and hauled away our old windows. If you are in need of new windows, I would definitely call Jared at Approved Contractors. In fact, after the job was complete I had Jose and Prai measure our slider and the master bathroom window to get pricing on our next project with Jared and Approved Contractors because we are using them again in the near future (within the next 6 months). My wife and I have been living at our home for more than 17 years and over time the exterior paint started to become, well ugly. There was damage done to the stucco during window installation many years ago and we had just left it thinking we will paint next year (that was 15 years ago). The trim around the house was also pretty bad, chipping, peeling, mold, etc. In 2013 I decided I had enough, I was tired of the way the house was looking and was embarrassed when I had friends and family over, always explaining "maybe next year", etc. Well 'next year' became 2013. From the beginning of the year I saved the money so that I can have the house texture coated, but I also wanted this to be a surprise for my wife. In September 2013 the opportunity came when we found out that my wife had to travel to Colombia for five days. As soon as it was confirmed and the dates arranged I quickly did a bit of research on texture coating and which company that would do the work. I found three companies and after checking the reviews I decided on Approved Contractor Inc. I called the owner Jared Green and made an appointment to meet and get an estimate. The appointment was done a week prior to the window I had where my wife was away. I was surprised when the actual owner (Jared Green) was the one to come and give me the estimate, as is the case with most companies they would send out another employee, this to me was a good sign. Jared Green was very receptive to what I had wanted. Jared and I walked around the house and I pointed out what needed to be done and he made several recommendations. After taking measurements of the exterior and making the cost calculations we discussed the details and agreed on the price. After I mentioned that I needed this done the following week while my wife was away and we discussed what I wanted Jared told me that it could be done. The following Thursday came and as promised his crew came out to begin the preparations (pressure washing the exterior, stucco repair, etc). For the next couple of days his crew came in did what was needed for the day and left. At the end of each day the crew ensured that they left the place as clean as possible, they swept, picked up after the stripping etc., The only evidence that anyone was there was the different stages of the house (clean/strip, repair, prime, paint/texture coat). During the entire process I was concerned about having the house complete on time (by Sunday 5pm) but was assured that it will be, I was still stressing though :) The work was actually completed by 1pm on Sunday! This gave me plenty of time to put things back into place in time for my wife's arrival. I was worried that my wife would not be happy but after seeing the house and the new colors (went from light cream with pink trim to white trim and slate grey) she loved it! Several of my neighbors love the transformation as well. Overall, Jared Green of Approved Contractor Inc ensured that the work would be done and the house would look like new, he did and it does! Given the short notice and the demand I placed on when it needed to be completed Jared and his crew pulled through to the end. I have recommended to my friends that if they need to texture coat their homes that they use Approved Contractor Inc. I would also use them again.
