ACCURATE CLIMATE CONTROL

Accurate Climate Control did a phenomenal job in replacing and installing my new furnace/air conditioning. I went through the Goldilocks's syndrome when looking for someone to replace my old furnace and install a new A/C unit. The first person was recommended by my realtor and had a decent rating on Angie's List. I left four messages on their cell phone and when I tried to call the work phone nobody answered. Finally, the owner ,Mike Pringle, returned one of my voicemail messages and after he informed that he had been in the hospital I gave him the benefit of the doubt (but really, you're in the hospital and nobody is answering your business phone!?) and we set up a time to meet at my house. He was a total no show/no reschedule call. This porridge is TOO COLD. Next I went straight to Angie's List and went with Conejo Valley Heating and Cooling. They had multiple positive responses on Angie's List. Sure enough, I contacted them and they were quick to respond and set up an appointment. They showed up at my place on time and sent me an estimate the very next day. The estimate was 9500 dollars to replace the old furnace with a new one, install a new A/C unit and replace all the duct work in my house. It is important to note hear that he never looked at the ducts. He merely said that replacing them would make the house more efficient. The duct replacement was 2500 dollars of the bill so to do the replacement would have cost 7000 dollars. This porridge is TOO HOT. Now we come to Kenney from Accurate Climate Control. He was recommended by a friend and had one review ( a positive one) on Angie's List. He too was responsive to my calls and showed up for his appointment at my house on time. He was very polite and extremely professional. There were two major differences between him and the gentleman from Conejo Valley Heating and Cooling the first was that when I mentioned the duct work he said, and quot;Well, let's take a lookand quot;, and we did. If he would have recommended new duct work I would have been totally ready to pay for the extra work. However, he said that the new duct work was unnecessary. The duct work that was in the house was the same as what he would be replacing it with. He did say that some spot touch up might be necessary, but his workers would do that the day of installation. So, that saved me 2500 dollars of what sounds like would have been unnecessary work. The second major difference was the price. He replaced my furnace, my thermostat and installed a new A/C unit for 4500 dollars. That's right, 2500 dollars less than Conejo Valley's bid was not including the extra 2500 they wanted to charge me for the duct work. So, in total I saved 5000 dollars! This porridge is JUST RIGHT! Finally, we come to the installation itself. We agreed to next week and Kenney said he would call me with the exact day. As it turns out he called me on Wednesday and wanted to know if Thursday would work, if not next week would still be available. I agreed to Thursday and sure enough at 9 AM Kenney's crew was at my house and started the installation. They were quiet professionals and for the most part I hardly even new that they were there. They did have to spot fix a few parts of the duct work and they did have to adjust my circuit breaker ( I had an old portable spa that was taking up the A/C spot). When these issues popped up they always let me know what was going on and nothing extra was charged. Finally, They gave a great final walk through of the products they were installing, what maintenance would be required and how to operate the new thermostat. When they finally left the places where they were working looked better than when they got there. No extra pieces of wire on the ground, no boot prints all over my house; just a nice clean install job on their part. Lastly, Kenney actually came by my house four days later to deliver my invoice and to inspect that work that was done to make sure that it was up to his standards. He made sure I didn't have any questions since the install and made sure that everything was operating as it should be. I especially liked this because it means he takes ownership in what his people are doing and considers his reputation and standing important. After inspection I was more than happy to hand him a check for services rendered. I consider this money the best money I have spent on my house and would do business again with Kenney in a heartbeat!

Kenny has been taking care of our HVAC system for twenty years. It was finally time to update and replace the system at the same time the roof was being replaced down to the studs. He suggested a roofing contractor that we ultimately selected after evaluating a number of quotes. The two companies worked well together and in a timely manner. Accurate Climate Control provided the crane service, written quote and parts warranty. Professional all the way!
