Excellent service in every respect. Job was done in time estimated (less: estimate was 3 days; actual job done in 2 1/2) for price estimated, conscientious cleanup, no callbacks needed. Owner-operated: Estimate, job overseeing, and followup done by owner, Jerry, who was experienced, knowledgeable, personable, familiar with his (excellent) work crews, and responsive. (Of three estimates I got, he was the only one who took time for a followup call, just as he said he would.) Price: Exactly the same as other two estimates, both from other highly-rated Angie's List roofers.

Very good - The roofer spent several hours on the roof and my husband was very pleased at how clean it looked. Very good job!

I made a big deal purchase for them. It was fine. They did what they said when they said and it all worked out okay. I thought that the pricing was fair. My one issue with them was just that they did not bring a ladder to reach the second floor roof, they just brought little ladders to get on to the first and then on to the second and it just didn't feel safe to me. If I had a more substantial job, I would at least get a quote from them.

John arrived early and nearly completed his examination/measurement by the time I arrive. John then proceeded giving me a good informative section on the condition of my roof as well as different material options I can have. Overall, I can't say anything but great about John and my whole experience. Being a new home owner, I will admit I am a bit clueless when it comes to the subject matter, John took his time explaining the details and showed me the in and out of roofing. Knowing my budget is extremely tight, John suggest to hold off a year or so to gather funding. Before he leave, John passed me a booklet which includes the roofing materials as well as other material about his company. The booklet was professionally done and great for keeping the quote together for future reference. Shadowfax was the only company gave me this. I am completely looking forward to work with them when it finally comes to puttinga new roof. Thanks and great to meet you, John. Jay

It turned out great. I didn't have any problems.

On time and was able to correct the issue for the lower or two quotes he gave me. He was punctual courteous and didn't leave a big mess that I was expecting. Two thumbs up, way up! It is great to know that there are true craftsmen out there that take pride in there work.

The job turned out to be easier and less invasive than I expected it to be. We were experiencing leakage on the roof around the skylights and they were able to order and replace the skylights. They don't normally do jobs involving exclusively skylights, but they were happy to do the job for me. A few weeks after the installation we had a large storm and realized the leak that prompted the call was still there. He wasn't able to come immediately, but they said they would call me when they were available to come out and look at it again. I'm anticipating it being very difficult to find the leak but I am confident that they can find it. They did show up when they said they would for the appointment and they offered a reasonable price. The leak was not from the skylights, as I originally thought, so it's still anxious to get that fixed, but the work they have done so far was very good.

Feedback on roof condition was not clear

Shadowfax roofing installed a solar fan on my roof and did an excellent job! At first I was skeptical about how such a small fan could make a difference but wow what a difference--seriously!! It lowered the temp inside my home by about 15 degrees all summer long--awesome!! I highly recommend this to you. I do not even need air conditioning at all. I'm thrilled! It took them just an hour to complete the job.

Jerry Shaffer, the owner did the estimate. He identified areas of concern and gave me a quote. He was willing to re do his estimate when a competitors estimate came in lower. His crew was great. They cleaned up everything each day. Very responsive & sensitive. Can't say enough good things.

They showed up on time. Did the work quickly and were gone. It's a short story.

The owner of ShawdoFax Roofing came to my house within 2 days of me calling to explain the issue. He evaluated the section of roof/gutter where I had the concern, wrote up a formal proposal and gave me a quote which was far less than I had expected. I had calls into two other roofing companies (neither of which called me back), so I moved forward with ShadowFax roofing. They were able to have someone out there THAT DAY to complete the work. It was done in less than an hour, and in the end, they covered the exposed wood with a metal guard that will prevent further water damage, since it angles the water to the existing gutters. I couldn't have asked for an easier, more pleasant experience.

Shadowfax gave me a good appraisal of the state of the roof as well as doing the minor repairs. It was a little difficult to schedule a small job, but they were upfront about it and came out when they said they would. I'd use them again. They did a great job on the replacement roof earlier this year, and I'm happy with the maintenance job they did on my home with the winter sealing.

I had some reservations about getting an attic fan installed since I have a metal roof and there are very few experienced professionals that know what to do with this kind of roof. Shadowfax brought out a longtime pro to check out the roof and install the fan. I was very confident after meeting them that they were experienced in dealing with a metal roof and would be very professional in performing the work. Everything was done right on schedule and they even did a little extra without any charge. I really appreciated the way they kept me 'in the loop' so that there were no surprises when the job was completed. I would definitely consider them for any roof work I need to perform in the future and fully recommend them to any Angie's List customer.

Purchased the deal from Angie's. Called the company to arrange the installation. The company arrived as scheduled and installed the fan.

I was very close to signing the contract. At the last minute, another reputable roofing contractor came in with a slightly lower cost and met all of my "want list" items so I went with that contractor.

From initial contact through completion, the contractor and crew were professional and accommodating. They handled the initial job (fan install) and the follow-up job (roof inspection and repair) with minimal impact on the homeowner and competence throughout.
