The work was done in one afternoon and went well. The very next day and many days thereafter it rained so we had a good test of our new skylights. Not a drop of water entered the premises. We're happy with the work they provided.

The whole process went very well and we were very pleased with the work done. Paul was very good at explaining the pros and cons of CDX plywood and OSB and the differences between O'Hagin vents and ridge vents. He answered all our questions in a very pleasant manner. RE Roofing cleaned up well at the end of the project and left the roof and ground area spotless.

The experience with R E Roofing was excellent. They were extremely easy to work with and they answered every question. They worked with us and they did everything we discussed. The price was a little high but it was worth every penny.

RE Roofing is an honest and reputable family owned and operated roofing company in the San Jose area. We were impressed with the estimator, Yale, and his professionalism, attentiveness and quick response to our inquiries. We knew that re-roofing our steep sloped roof with wood shingles would be a limitation, however, we soon found that owner, Paul Proctor, and his roofing crew were very experienced and skilled in handling this challenge. The roofing crew was punctual, friendly, courteous, and cleaned up at the end of each day. They took pride in their work with great attention to detail. We were extremely pleased with the exceptional quality of our finished roof and the outstanding service from everyone at RE Roofing.

They did a great job. We actually had to remove the shingles and go with a composite material, so they had to remove the wood and they put in downspouts for us.

They took off the old roof, installed plywood, roof, and gutters. They are a very low key operation with great people and they arrived on time for every appointment. They went out of their way to help us select the right product. We installed two Sun Tunnels in our house and they even did the roof part of that project for us. They cleaned up their project and they were thorough, polite, and helpful.

They did a very good job. They were very polite and did a great job about cleaning up after themselves. They did a little extra work for me and did not charge me for it. I think that the price that they gave me was fair.

We were extremely satisfied and still are satisfied. There wasn't any muss and fuss. They did a very nice job. They were recommended to us by a neighbor and we now recommend them to others.

The person who was in charge has very good people skills and followed through very well. He did very good at getting back and making sure we were happy.

Work apparently went well as roofer was done in 30 - 45 minutes and spent another 30 minutes blowing debris from upper roofs and surrounding ground level.

I called several companies during our biggest storm - we had water coming into our microwave and on top of our water heater. I knew they weren't major leaks, but R E Roofing was the only company who called back the same day. Plus, they came out that same day to look at things in the POURING RAIN and lots of wind. Got my quote and they said they'd call Monday or Tuesday to schedule the work. Instead of calling to schedule the work, they called a few days later and said they were at the house and wanted to do the repairs right then. I thought that was kind of odd, but told them to go ahead since we were between storms. They awhile later and said they weren't able to finish that morning, but came back that afternoon to wrap things up. The man who came out to do the quote is the same who did the work and he was INCREDIBLY nice. We've had more big storms since then and all is working nicely.

Helped us to file a claim for the old cemwood claim. Job was done on time, right before our raining season. So far so good. I was asked to paint the border between new shingle and wall after work was done. But that was OK, kind of like a visual inspection of the work. I did find some shortcoming; like some woods were not painted.

The work was done about 3 years ago. They were really good. Their prices were sort of high end, but the guy who came out was really professional. I would use them again in the future.

They started the job a little late and took a little bit longer than expected, but not by much. They did everything right. They use their own employees instead of subcontractors. The costs were exactly what they said they were going to be. Their prices are very competitive.

Paul Proctor was very easy to work with, dropped by a couple of times to provide the quote and answer our questions, and remained helpful and interested throughout the process. The roof looks great! Paul coordinated Sun Tunnel skylight and gutter installation companies, and these happened without a hitch. When I pointed out a slight cosmetic issue with one section of gutter, Paul followed up with the gutter company and ensured that they came back and replaced the section to my satisfaction.

My experience with RE Roofing was exceptional from start to finish. Lots of design attention had to be paid to restore airflow. Yale (the estimator and founders' son) did a great job. I did much preparatory Internet research re airflow and materials and asked many probing questions, which he answered knowledgeably and with patience. When he didn't know the answer he asked Paul, the founder and president and got back to me. In total, Yale came out 3 times pre-sale. The work was executed well, efficiently, on-time and professionally. Communication was timely and clear. When the tear-off people brought a too-big truck for my driveway, RE Roofing simply (and silently) swallowed the resulting expense. I personally inspected the work as it was done; I know that it looks good and, more importantly, that it was done right. Afterwards I met Paul and I see why this family-run business is so good. They truly want to do a great job. I unreservedly recommend RE Roofing.

Excellent work from beginning to end. Very fair and competitive pricing, reliable, polite, and hardworking roofers got the job done fast and well. Installing a new roof is messy work but they were diligent in cleaning up. Owner Paul Proctor very pleasant to work with. Highly recommended.

I solicited bids from four roofing companies to re-roof my 50 year old, 1750 Sq Ft home. Paul Proctor, the owner of R E Roofing came to our home to take measurements and was able to provide a quote when he was done. Of the four bids that we received, R E's quoted price was $3.5K more than the cheapest and $3K less than the most expensive. Paul is a very personable fellow and did a great job differentiating R E from the other roofing companies. Paul explained the whole roofing process to us and the timing for each step. Every project has it's little hiccups, ours went mostly according to plan. The new roof looks great. We liked that Paul provided lien releases from the subcontracted roof tear-off and gutter companies and allowed us to pay the materials supplier directly using a credit card. If I had it to do over though, I would bid the gutters and downspouts separately and ask to see actual samples. I don't like the way mine turned out. Overall, a good experience. Thanks R E!

The estimator came as scheduled. He returned the next day and presented the detailed estimate and took the time to answer all my questions. At the contract signing about a week later, we agreed on an estimated start date, four weeks in the future. The work started just one day after the estimated date. The work proceeded expeditiously and was completed in about five days. The workmanship was very good and the crew did a good job of cleaning up afterwards. The company is well managed and did a very good job of communicating. They told me what they were going to do and then they did it.

We wanted to place a layer of wood under the new shingles for heating insulation, so they did this and then covered the roof with new shingles. They were very punctual, professional and cleaned up after they were done really well.

I decided not to go with Re Roofing, because I had four other companies come out and look at my roof and tell me that I did not need to replace the entire roof. I found out that, I just needed to replace a few shingles.

They owner and the workers were most professional on how they did the work. They were very conscientious and careful. They did what they said they were going to do and they were fair. The job that they did was superb.

There was a dumpster in my front drive way during the installation. They dumped all of the trash in it. I thought they did a good job and the price was very reasonable. They were excellent in terms of communication and doing exactly what they tell you. The clean-up was very good as well.

We could not have been more pleased, from the initial meeting with Paul through the tear down, installation, and final completion. We were a little concerned that the job couldn't be scheduled until January, but we were assured it would be no problem, and fortunately we had a dry week. The roofers came on time, cleaned up, and the supervisor was often on-site. Re Roofing also re-roofed two of our neighbor's homes on our street at about the same time, and everyone was pleased. A new roof is a big-ticket item, and we are so glad we found such a reputable and competent roofer.

Overall, went very well with one exception. They showed up a month later than they originally verbally told me that they would. I'm convinced that RE Roofing deliberately misled me on the start time of the job by a month to maintain their backlog. These guys are great roofers, but I can't abide with contractors who deliberately mislead to me on job start dates.
