It's really hard to get a hold of someone. They don't let you know that they won't call you back until late in the day. I had to make several calls, left messages and was told I would be called back, When I finally got through to them and set up the first estimate, the installer came out and did a pretty good job of identifying what work would need to be done. He told me to call the company back and set up an appointment for him to install the sun tunnel. When I was able to set up an appointment, they sent the same worker out to give me an estimate after I had ALREADY had an estimate from them. He said they couldn't actually do the installation that day because he was scheduled to give estimates all day. I called the company three times in one day and they finally called me back late in the evening. We worked out a time and when the worker finally showed up to do the work, he told me that my estimate was wrong and that I would have to pay more money. When I spoke to the owner about this, he didn't seem interested in retaining my business and didn't express any interest in addressing my concerns.

Dave at NuLight was the sales window and Mark took care of our City permit. At the beginning, we wanted to install several tube type skylight to save our cost, but turned out that installing 4x Sun Tunnels was very expensive, including all installation costs. So, we decided to put one large skylight on to our new roof panels. Permit process by NuLight was some trouble some. In my knowledge, NuLight guy did not show up at our house to measure the area. It turned out to be miss-description of our rafter size in the permit application, which city pointed out to me. Installation process was going parallel to the re-roofing work. NuLight sub-contracted an installation to Steve who came in relatively on time although he missed a few app time. He cut the opening too small that City permit inspector asked to widen up. Plus, they used wrong screws, not structural. So they need to fix them, and called a city inspector again. It took extra time to finish up skylight installation however the roofer and Steve could talk each other to arrange their work efficiently. Yes, indeed, I would say, there was a few days delay due to the skylight, but the impact was minimum at the end. However, dry waller, sub/sub contractor was lousy. He could not show up without any notice one day. And the other day, he finally showed up with one hour late, but no apology at all. This guy is not qualified at all as Angie's A-rate, so I put B as overall score. Overall finally, Velux skylight looks gorgeous both from inside and street side. But please be extremely careful for your installation process.

The completed installation looks clean and professional. The Sun Tunnel fills the room with light very well. In fact initially the light level was so bright that I inserted a light diffuser under the Sun Tunnel dome to bring down the light intensity. Now it seems about right for the room. Jim of NuLight Solutions not only installed the Sun Tunnel centered in the room as we requested, he located the dome in a good bright area on the roof. When I was getting estimates for this project, another contractor told me that he could not install their Solatube in the center of the room due to obstacles in the attic. I will use NuLight Solutions again to replace two skylights.

They were very thorough in their pre-estimate questions and the estimate was very comprehensive. They worked with me to find a workable solution that met my objectives. They were great at making suggestions and doing the job for a good price that did not exceed their estimate. It was a very clean installation...they used drop clothes and cleaned up after themselves. Everything worked out well.

Nulight suggested ordering the parts from the original skylight manufacturer to save money and then showed up to install the parts. Repairman called to say he was running early and could he come by sooner than expected? Was here and did work in under 30 minutes. Cleaned up and was gone. Did a nice job.

I went to their showroom and had great service. I had tons of questions and they answered them all. They told me how much it would cost and we wrote up the order and booked the installation right then. They were available within a week to do the installation. The person who came out for the installation was knowledgeable and guided us on the appropriate placement of the sun tunnel. Within about two hours, the work was completed.

PRODUCTS WERE OF GOOD QUALITY AND FAIRLY PRICED. WORKERS WERE QUALIFIED, EFFICIENT, AND RESPONSIVE. RESULTS IN TERMS OF IMPROVED LIGHTING WERE EXCELLENT.
