He explained what he would do and proceeded. He was neat, efficient and competent. It literally looks like new again. In the process, we decided on further work we'd like this company to do and look forward to their continued professional quality of work.

Prior to the scheduled date, we received an email from Michelle reminding us of the date/time of our appointment. This was greatly appreciated. The old caulking/Dep was removed from our shower, and replaced with new caulking. Nick was very thorough, neat and complete. He suggested we use a different color which looked better than bright white, which we did. We had a little hiccup in that the caulkiing had some air bubbles in it, but Nick came out immediately and replaced it. He was also able to diagnose why the grout around a sink turned orange (the sink rusts underneath), and what could be done to prevent it (not a lot). Because he was so responsive in dealing with the caulking, we felt we wanted to give him another project, so we decided to replace the shower door in our master bath. I received an email from Michelle with a proposed time for the installation, and we made the appointment. Just before the scheduled day, Michelle sent me an email to remind me. I love that! I purchased the door, but Nick picked it up for us from Home Depot. Home Depot messed up, and in spite of the door being paid for in advance, they did not have one in stock. Nick worked with them to find us another door at another Home Depot, and I met him there to buy the door and deal with returning the first one. He was endlessly patient with Home Depot. Nick removed and took away the old shower door. He installed and sealed the new shower door. We love how it looks, AND how it functions (we can actually open both sides, which was a challenge with the old door. In addition, Nick was very neat; there was nothing to clean up after he was finished. We like to work with smaller contractors becuase we think we get better service and more attention. This was certainly the case with Heartwood Residential and Nick and I would happily use them for other projects.

They came out and looked at the property but then told us that they could not do anything until after they got married. At this we do not want to wait to have the work completed.

Superb! We originally hired Heartwood to clean the grout lines in our kitchen floor, which we had no luck in doing ourselves after trying several methods. Nick did his best, but they we're so dirty, even he had to give up (the original contractor didn't properly seal the grout,which is why they got so soiled after only two years). Nick then offered to remove and replace the grout for an additional, but reasonable charge, which we concurred and accepted. The new grout looks even BETTER than the original... and he SEALED it as well! We will soon be using Heartwood to install new tile in our entry way and bath, as well as new wood floors in our living room. I like Nick's work ethic and dedication, and have no reservations about recommending his company.

My tub was a little challenging because of the material previously used, but Heartwood rose to the challenge and did a great job.

The whole job was done efficiently and professionally. Nick explained his work and completed what we wanted done well within the allotted time (3 hours) and he even asked if there was anything else he could do for us. Fantastic!

Nick arrived right on time, and figured out a great way to complete the project, including trimming out where he had to cut the cabinet. It looks great! We would definitely use Nick again. I might add that Nick was booked way in advance, but because this was a small job, he fit me in when he had enough time to complete it, which we appreciated.

Heartwood Residential was professional, knowledgeable, and the work was excellent. He offered advice when asked without pushing for extra work. A door in the garage was completed as well as several smaller fixes. Would use them again and refer friends to him.

I responded to the Big Deal ads for $99 for kitchen and bathroom caulking / grout restoration. I called for appointment in early August. The guy couldn't schedule me until Sept 9! But I needed the service and I'd already paid so I said OK. A week before the scheduled date they sent an email saying they had to reschedule to Oct 15. So I called and got a refund for the Big Deal. Angie's List should do a better job screening vendors to ensure they can actually deliver what they're selling.

We are very happy with Nick's work. He's very professional, fairly priced and punctual. Our job had a number of surprises but he stuck with us. Definately use him again.

Nick was very prompt, arriving on time with all the tools needed. We talked about the work to be done and agreed upon a price range based upon time and materials. He was very careful to put up plastic sheeting and tarps to protect my furniture and the carpet. The work took two days and required a couple of trips to the hardware store for paint to match the ceiling and to replace the dimmer switch (I purchased the wrong one). Nick's work is EXCELLENT. He is easy to work with, listens carefully, and makes it all happen in a professional manner. I couldn't be more satisfied!

Nick came to do an estimate just a couple days after we contacted him. He carefully explained just exactly what would need to be done, and emailed us a thorough estimate. He arrived promptly to start work, and worked very hard on the project for two days. His workmanship was superb, and our finished door and frame are perfect. He was professional throughout the entire process. When he left, everything was perfectly clean and tidy. We will most certainly use him again for any type of handyman project that we need to have done.

I started a remodel of the 2nd bathroom about 3 years ago, but got bogged down, never finished, and had the floor open to the floorboards for a long long time. Asked Nick to finish the job, and he and Matt tackled it.. I already had the tiles. Nick and Matt designed an intricate and very attractive tile design with complex edging, using my existing materials, still keeping the large tiles beautifully intact in the room center. Layed it out for my approval, then installed, grouted and finished it. Set the toilet over it, much to my wife's delight after 3 years. Looks great, i still smile every time my feet walk on the smooth cool tiles. Great job.

I called for an estimate and Nicholas came out promptly. It took a couple of weeks to get the estimate via email. Once I agreed to the work, and we found a day that worked it took him about 4 hours to complete the job.

I am very particular and have done some construction in the past, so i had a good feel as to what needed to be done and how I wanted it to look when finished. Once all the work was done, touch paint completed and clean up performed, I was extremely pleased and very happy with the end result. He is a true professional, conscientious and extremely thorough. I do not hesitate in the slightest to give him an all star rating and will use him again as needs arise.

I was satisfied with the service. I think he did a good job and managed to squeeze me in even though he was busy. He was also very nice, sincere, and hard-working. I have recommended him.

The rough open required quite a bit of work to get right, drywall, electrical, framing etc over 2 days. Even tho my old house is not too square, then got the doors hung beautifully. They worked hard and took great care with not making too much dust and their cleanup was immaculate. My hard drives appreciated that. The doors fit great, and look great, The drywall repair is undetectable. 100% satisfied with the experience,

Great success - this is my second time hiring Nick, and I'm very happy with the results again!

He did an excellent job on both projects. He was very nice, trustworthy, honest, and had a great personality.

100% success. The board is repaired and it looks fine. Nick came on Tuesday and did the repair work, left it overnight to try and came back Wednesday to prime & paint.

Our kitchen walls, window sills, cabinet doors and pantry doors needed painting. Nick was prompt, neat, careful and respectful of our home. He prepared the surfaces (including a wallpapered wall) by sanding, puttying and priming them before painting. He removed the old cabinet hardware which was centered on each door and replaced them with new hardware and hinges in a more desirous location. He taped everything and protected all with drop cloths. He repaired our countertop at the seam. He cleaned up everything before he left at night. With the exception of one night, we were able to use the kitchen during the process. He was well organized. Nick also chipped, sanded and repainted our entryway stairs. He fixed our front door which was sticking and installed weatherproofing. He fixed and adjusted one cafe door by installing a new hinge. He repaired the front window box and installed new curtain rods in an area we could not reach by ourselves. Although never asked, he cleaned the ceiling tiles. Nick takes pride in doing a good job and does class work. We will definitely call him again in the future.

Nick was very professional in his approach. He came the day after I placed a call to him, reviewed the jobs I had, took measurements and notes, and the next day I received a very comprehensive quote. He then answered all my questions to my satisfaction so I awarded him the job. He came exactly on the date he quoted as the start date and finished the job in two days. While on site he was extremely polite and respectful. He completely cleaned up the work site each day and be brought the project in under his quote. We would not hesitate to recommend him and/or use him again.

I called Nick to ask him to give me an estimate on assembling some teak patio furniture and a metal gazebo. He arrived on time and even thought to bring a bag of sand to weigh-down the posts of the gazebo. His estimate was reasonable and I liked him right away, so I hired him on the spot. He put the furniture together in expert fashion & in the amount of time he estimated. Since I had family coming for the weekend, he agreed to come back the next day to assemble the gazebo. He managed it amazingly well despite it really being a two-man job. When a mishap ensued, he informed me he'd need to buy a part at a hardware store and insisted on deducting the time and material needed to correct the problem. He completed the gazebo assembly within the estimated time frame once again. Throughout the time Nick was at my home, he remained extremely courteous & professional. I'll be hiring him again....as soon as I've found my "to-do" list!

Nick and his team were very punctual, friendly and most importantly clean and very quality oriented. He took great care to listen to our needs and not try to persuade us to take on more than we wanted. But when we did decide to add another element to the job, Nick was very precise about the additional charge and time it would take to complete. He payed close attention to detail, even returning to touch up an area that he felt was not up to standard, although we thought it was fine. Overall the experience was flawless and I would recommend Heartwood to my friends. We are very pleased with our bright, clean functional garage!

Worked evenings and one weekend in doing the jobs shown above. And we pleased with the final results of both jobs.
