It was terrific, Nick was great. He stayed all day long to make sure he got the work done; there was more work involved than he expected but he didn't charge us for the extra time. He is very detail oriented, the work is excellent. He's very kind and gets right to work, and doesn't stop until he's finished.

Our experience with Nick was outstanding. He'is a super responsible and conscientious about his work and leaves the work site as clean or better than when he started. He's happy to offer suggestions and completes his work on time and on budget. We will be using his services again in the future.

Excellent, initial caulk did not seal, they came back immediately used a different product and it has performed as expected. Great job, excellent service highly recommended!

Nick was great! He started (with his wife) his own business after working for a contractor for quite a while. You can tell he is careful and meticulous about how things get done; yet not afraid to make suggestions along the way. He's friendly and professional and knows what he's doing. We talked while he was working about wineries in the area, since I am new here and I love wine. To my surprise, his wife Michelle actually followed up with an email the next day with information about the local wineries we'd discussed....now that's "above and beyond" service! Nick and Michelle are classic small business owners who work hard and do a great job - I hope they succeed. I'd use them again...thanks!

Early and under budget. Nick completed everything early, under budget, and without cutting corners. I mean, how often does that happen? He did all of the tasks in just under a day. The only minor hiccup was prior to the job. I had emailed him without copying his superb business/office manager, Michelle. Nick gets so busy with the work that he doesn't always respond to emails quickly, but that's why he has Michelle. She's great, and I'll know for future jobs to be sure to copy her. All in all - I am completely satisfied. Nick solves your problems with solutions you need, not what you think you want.

Nick was extremely professional, prompt, and courteous. He took care of everything that needed to be done from odd jobs to quoting on some future work. All the work was of a high standard - he reinforced a heavy mirror that I wanted to hang in my dinning room and took time to go and get some necessary electrical parts from Home Depot that he needed to install a dimmer switch. He called from Home Depot to review the price of the purchases to make sure the amount he was spending was acceptable. All in all, I would give Nick a very high recommendation. He later provided a very reasonable quotation for building some wooden benches that I had asked for but never followed up on because we decided against the project. I would definitely recommend Nick and use his services again in future.

Nick was prompt, professional and knowledgeable. Repairs were made in a timely fashion. Work area was left in great shape.

It looks beautiful. Nick picked a grout color that was exactly what I described. I wish I had taken a before and after picture. The work especially in the tricky areas, including around the sink are top quality.

Heartwood Residential gave very good services. I like his skills and precision. He did a very neat and professional job. I was very satisfied with the quality of his work. He was very professional, very skilled and he did a high quality work. He was very reasonable.

He gave us a lot of good information about our new home. However, the first time we had scheduled, he was running late (over 1.5 hours), in the mean time my husband had took off from work early to be there. We had our 3 kids that were very tired and hungry that night waiting in our empty home for an hour and a half until we finally got the call that he would be another 40 minutes delayed, that is when we rescheduled for another day. He is very BUSY apparently probably due to all the excellent reviews. We told him we were in a hurry to get the work done since we wanted to get moving in asap. It's been over two weeks and we've heard nothing back from him. Nothing at all! We've now hired another contractor (Sunburst Construction) that's already gotten started and gave us a great price. Sorry Nick, you seem like a very nice guy, and very skilled contractor. But you need to be respectful of peoples time and communicate better if you can't deliver services within a timely manner. Just a phone call was all you needed. We do appreciate your time when you came out to give us an estimate.

Yes it went well, but it didn't last. The part I purchased was defective. I would use again...

I would definitely use this organization again. I purchased a "Big Deal" and they completed the work as promised, in the time estimate provided. At the end of the contracted work they looked at other projects and will provide a bid within 1-2 weeks.

I needed to reschedule from the original date and company staff were very polite and cooperative. Nick was prompt and professional, provided full explanation of what would be done and met my expectations. Heartwood Residential is a full-service contractor and the company provides many services - I highly recommend and will plan to use them again for large or small home projects.

I would definitely use this company again. Nick was very knowledgeable and wonderful to work with. He arrived on time and did a fabulous job!

.Would not recommend - kind of flaky. Gave them a "C" rating, because unlike other companies I contact for this matter, they at least called back (my expectations have become rather low now). UPDATE: NICK DID CONTACT ME AND EXPLAINED THAT HE HAD BEEN BACKED UP AND APOLOGIZED PROFUSELY FOR THE MIX-UP. OFFERED ME 2 HOURS OF FREE HANDYMAN SERVICE AS COMPENSATION. SEEMS LIKE A FAIR OFFER - HAVE CHANGED MY RATING ACCORDINGLY.

Nick, from Heartwood Residential, came out for an Angie's List special, to recaulk bathroom areas. That was the Angie's List special for $99.00. He did a great job of that! But, alas, he discovered that there was a slow leak in the upstairs toilet that was causing rotting of the subflooring underneath. I got a bid from him to fix the toilet, subflooring, and redo (tile) the bathroom flooring. Nick was polite, professional, on time, knowledgeable, and did a TERRIFIC JOB in the upstairs bathroom. It is beautiful! I plan to hire him, again, to do some work on my downstairs bathoom, as well as my kitchen. This guy is very good! Great job! I would recommend Nick, of Heartwood Residential, to anyone interested in top quality and professional work!

I got a refund from Angie's List as Heartwood Residential did not return my calls.

I greatly underestimated the amount of help I would need, and Nick agreed to work a very long day, and to return the next to help me meet my deadline for having all bits of the house complete. His flexibility, work ethic, and ability to do most anything were greatly appreciated. And he has a very pleasant personality, which was helpful as I was under a good bit of stress. The most amazing thing he did was after we opened the box containing the vanity and sink I had earlier bought from Lowes, and we discovered everything was broken. I was thinking I had a disaster, but Nick said if I gave him the receipt he'd take everything back to Lowes get them to exchange it. Sure enough, he quickly returned with a full replacement, which saved the day. He has a can-do approach to everything.

Heartwood Residential is a company I would definitely use again. Nick arrived on time and was very professional and neat. Michelle was professional and courteous when I called to set a date and she followed up in detail with an email. I was very satisfied and definitely recommened the company.

In fairness, I met with Sean at a very hectic time in his life. The communication hiccups we initially had were resolved to my complete satisfaction. The installation was executed in a timely, professional manner with emphasis on my satisfaction.

I purchased a 3 hours of labor to do a small job for 2 bathrooms caulking and shower. The ad said that materials included for small repairs (like mine). A young man showed up on time. To my surprise he said that he needs to go to the store for supplies. He was gone for over 1 hour. When he came back, he did the job. Actual time of labor was exactly 3 hours, but he wanted to bill me for going out and shopping for materials that should of been in his company vehicle in the first place. I have never experience anything like it. I told him that I will not be paying for the time I have no idea he had been. I ended up paying for materials he purchased that as per "Fine Print" states should of been for free. And sense I paid for materials he should of gave it to me whatever was left, but he took those with him also. That was terrible.

There was a small delay to respond to my initial email inquiry, but we had good communication via email and phone after that. We had some trouble coordinating between our busy schedules, and ultimately I just had Nick come do the work when I was absent, so I had some initial concerns about whether everything would go as planned, but there were no problems at all. He called as soon as he was finished and when I got home and checked on the results I was really pleased with his work. Nick and Michelle were very easy to work with, very flexible, and professional.
