FORMATOP

I do like my countertops but there were some concerns. They didn't measure correctly and because of that when they slid my range into place it broke a small piece on the end cap. Also I ended up paying almost twice as much as the estimate. They had to come back and clean up little saw dust and some glue on the floor. At least they did come back and do that for me.

It did not go well. They seem to have a problem communicating with their customers. When they came out to measure the counter tops, they did not inform me or my contractor, both of whom were present at the time, that the counters were going to be on different buildups on separate counters within the small kitchen. They also did not inform me of this when I went into their shop later to discuss the build-up on the Formica back-splashes. When I returned from work to see the counter-top installation I realized that the lower counters on my island were on a 3/4'' buildup and the rest of the counters were on a 1 1/2'' buildup. This left a noticeable gap at the top of all of my cabinets which were designed to have a 3/4'' buildup. I ended up spending a great deal of time in heated discussion with Mr. Eagan, we reached a compromise resolution to the problem, which he then proceeded to compromise on even more, leaving me with expensive counters which are less than satisfactory.
