Description of Work: Reached out to clark for a quote on a job through AL, no response or call back. How do they have an A rating.

Description of Work: Clark's removed the carpet in the family room, and installed the new hardwood floor to match the hardwood in the rest of the house. They match exactly, and the hardwood looks awesome! The service was very professional, and they completed it with the schedule they said it would take. During their service, we were remodeling the other part of the house, and needed unexpected minor repair. They took care of the repair very nicely also. They showed up on time, and the we can't be happier with the results. We would definitely hire them again!!!

Description of Work: This is the sequence of events: 1. 10/24/2011: Requested quotes from contractors for removing existing carpet and refinishing existing wood underneath 2. 10/25/2011: Doug from from Clark's Hardwood Floors visited the property and sent a quote right away. (After a couple of email exchanges the following day, I did not see or hear from him after this point. From then on all my interactions - or lack of them, were with Sherry at Clark's) 3. 11/15/2011: Work was scheduled to start on 11/16 and completed on 11/18. 4. 11/18/2011: On 11/18 around 4/5pm, I was called by Carlos (the person who actually did the work) and was told that the work has been completed. I told him that I was a couple of mins away and it would be great if he could wait for me so that I could have any questions answered and make sure everything looked ok. He said ok, but by the time I reached the house, Carlos had already left. And I found out that job was actually not completed - reducer around the fireplace and polishing of a trim around steps leading to the living room. I called Carlos but he did not pick up the phone. I called Clark's office and left a message. Never heard back from them. I also sent an email asking when they planned to complete the work. Did not get an email response either! However, I started receiving bills from Clark's that included money for the unfinished work. 5. 12/1/2011: Magically received a call from Clark's office in the morning. The message indicated when they could come back to finish the work. By this time we had started remodeling kitchen and retiling the family room ( they were doing mud-job) and and there was stuff in the living room where the work needed to be completed. So I indicated to them that we could not do the work that week but schedule something next week. 6. I did not get a response to this email either!! I continued to get bills from the company!! I received a call from Sherry this morning telling me to pay the bill! I told her why I was disappointed with the service that I had gotten from the company (I also sent out an email - to which I have not yet received a response). She told me that they would see me in court!!
