Clark's Hardwood Floors

We are happy with the quality of the work, and the new floors look great. The job site was kept neat at end of each day, the people doing the work were skilled, and they answered my questions right away as I asked them. They also checked in with me to get my opinion on some finishing details to make sure final touches (trim, door threshold) were to my liking. Also, we are pleased with interactions by phone and email with the folks in the office.

Clark's did an excellent job. Our floors were very old and some portions had to be replaced. You cannot tell where they replaced parts because they matched it so well. They also took out the carpeting in one room and replaced old baseboards. They always arrived on time and finished the work in the amount of time specified. They have a system that vacuums up the dust as they sand and it really worked. They were always very courteous and efficient.

We have used Clark's in the past, (this is the 3rd project) and everything is aways perfect or made perfect without any discussion. The teams are friendly, professional, knowledgeable and very accommodating. They truly are craftsmen doing great work. Customer service is top notch and what was standard in the past is still alive with Clark's. I strongly recommend them for flooring,

It went very well. The results matched my expectations. They were flexible - they accommodated my late change requests. Their pricing was competitive. They finished on time. My only suggestion is that they offer a buffing/polishing last step.

A damaged tongue and groove hardwood piece was removed and replaced and entire floor area refinished. The original sanding when this floor was installed (not by Clark's) was not a quality job and Clark's craftsmen were able to bring it up to a much more acceptable level. Their "atomic dust free system" was amazing and well worth the extra money paid for the service. After completion of the job, even the walls in the room which were not covered were dust free. The refinishing job they performed matches other hardwood throughout the house and we are very pleased with the job.

We solicited 3 bids. Although Clark's was the highest, we chose them because of their professionalism, responsiveness, honesty, and knowledge. In short, we just felt most confident with Clark's. The job went smoothly from start to finish. The workmen were on time, efficient, and polite. They used sheets of plastic to mask off the work areas so we could continue to use the kitchen. Each day the office called to let us know when the work crew was expected to arrive. In addition, the office was highly accommodating of our highly constrained schedule. A few comments for others planning h/w floor installation 1. Its a loud and noisy process (i.e., hammering and banging hundreds of individual boards) 2. The "dustless" vacuum process is really effective. While there is some dust, its extremely minimal when compared to the "old school" methods. 3. Because the sawing and cutting of boards is performed outdoors (e.g., on driveway), its a given that the front door is always left open. This results in a few flies and spiders entering the house. Overall we were very pleased with the results - we now have high quality and very attractive floors.. We had two minor "redo" items after the job was finished (furnace vent wouldn't fit and needed to be sanded, and one baseboard had a gouge and needed to be replaced. Clark's responded within 24 hours and remedied the matter.

Fantastic job! Crew was always on-time, very responsive, and dealt with unexpected snags that came up with good suggestions, solutions. Clean and dustless (or very little dust). Counters and Cabinets were covered, protected by pastic during work.

The whole process went extremely well and the quality of the workmanship is excellent.

Even though a small job, they squeezed us in to fit our schedule. Crew was very careful and tidy. One issue with the final coat (some contamination) so they stripped it and did again - no questions asked. The floor looks fantastic now that is finished!

It all went very well. The installers were very professional. They obviously had a lot of experience. They gave us confidence that they knew what they were doing. Also, they were very punctual -- and they were very meticulous about clean-up. Finally, I would say that the Clarks office was very proactive about communicating ...before and during the job.

From start to finis, they did an outstanding job! The quality of work matched the previous wood flooring that was already in our home. We are very happy with the results.

We had to make a change in the scheduled dates for the week and Clark's was extremely accommodating. Everything was done on time, professionally and beautifully. We would highly recommend to have workers at our home on three separate projects. Each time we were completely satisfied.

They finished on schedule despite unexpected work. Their arrival schedule was erratic. I was not always sure when they would arrive. When they tore up carpet in one room we realized that I needed to replace a fair amount of the floor. They did that for $300. There were a few times I wondered whether they would going to do things and every time they did things right. Even my closet baseboard was carefully caulked. They handled transitions well and potential issues with doors, properly.

Every step along the way was spot on from the timely scheduling of the job to the job to working on Saturday in order to finish up more quickly, to allow us to move our furniture back as soon as possible. I highly recommend the dust-free feature that they offer. The team they sent really took pride in their work and the results were great. Their work was 'A' quality. However, the finishes allowed by the State of California are not nearly as durable as previous finishes.

As always with Clark hardwood floors the job went smoothly. The new floor ( after water damage to the old one) looks wonderful.

My dishwasher flooded, ruining our maple hardwood floors. Initially they thought they would only have to replace a small portion, but the damage was much worse once their second crew came in. They replaced the wood and matched it to the rest of our maple wood. I will continue using them as long as they're in business. They do great, quality work.

sherry Clark was very helpful from the start to finish. the foreman was checking on the job everyday. Scheduling was done just right for our needs!
