Clark's Hardwood Floors

I was very pleased with the work performed by Clark's hardwood floors. My house had carpet over the hardwood floors and parquet over the hallway hardwood floors for years. When I removed the parquet, there was a thick black adhesive that was stuck on the floor. I could not scrap it off. Clark's dust free sander was able to sand through the adhesive to reveal the beautiful hardwood floor underneath. They also replaced some hardwood floor where there had been water damage or pet stains. The floors look amazing. You can't even tell what was patched. They also did a good job matching the stain to the hardwood we installed when we remodeled our kitchen a few years back.

Carlos, arrived on time each day with his helper, they were polite, thorough, covered all work and carpet areas, and cleaned up each day. I trusted Carlos, so that I gave him a key for call folowing, in case I was gone. Excellent! Top notch in every way!

The price was reasonable for the amount of work they did. They did a good job, and I liked their work. I would rate them highly and would certainly use them again in the future if necessary.

My overall experience with Clark’s Hardwood Floors Company was good. The floors look very good. However they did some other things that annoyed us. They broke a door stopper. Also, few of the nails they used penetrated through the floors in a way that one could see it on the ceiling from downstairs. I had to get another contractor to fix those issues. I paid my contractor and got it reimbursed from Clark’s. That part was a bit annoying. However they were definitely one of the best of all the people that we met with in terms of how comprehensive they were in their evaluation of the problem and their proposal to fix it. They also were very familiar to this kind of work as we were very particular with the type of wood we wanted. They were very reasonable with the price too.

Clark's Hardwood Floors, were really great to work with on our flooring project. I got three quotes and I found that not only did Clark's offer a terrific price, but they also had coupons in the Penny Saver for a 10% discount which we were able to utilize. Joe came out several times to discuss the options as we were having to add new flooring in with old flooring, so it required weaving the floor boards so the new section wouldn't look so obvious. We also discussed options for staining the edges to make the new flooring consistent with the old flooring and Joe had some very useful suggestions for us. Sherry in the office was also fantastic to work with. There was quite a long, (and unintentional), delay between the time we choose Clark's and the time we were able to have the work done, and Sherry was great about staying in touch with us, explaining the plan once we began and answering any questions we had along the way. The only thing I would warn potential customers about is, if you choose to seal the floors with an oil top coat, be prepared for the smell. It is really strong and I really recommend leaving the house for the day once the final coat is completed. I would highly recommend working with Clark's for any of your flooring needs. We are thrilled with the results - and would love to have the rest of the floors refinished as the warm tones of the freshly sanded and refinished rooms are gorgeous!

We've used them before. They were very timely with the estimate and they did the work fast. The price was great. They did the work within a week before the tenants moved in and we were slow in deciding so we didn't give them very much time. The workers were great. They were timely and clean. They left the house in good condition each day when they left. They were very professional and did a quality job. They did a great job. We would use them again.

They were professional, priced reasonably, and it seemed like the gentleman knew what he was doing. I haven't chosen anyone to do the work as of yet.

Crew was on time and flexible to allow us to move in range before last coat was applied.

It was first rate all the way. They were quite a bit better than the company we used originally. We had no complaints with them. They were here and they were responsive. There were some changes in the middle and they were flexible. We would absolutely use them again and have recommended them.

I am going to have them do the work. So far the experience has been great. They were totally professional and came right on time for the estimate. It was a great bid. It was a very good experience with them. They were very friendly, knowledgeable and on top of their game.

Clarkes sent out a estimator who measured our stairway and provided some advice on what we should get and what kind of installation. We then went to the showroom where Mrs. Clark showed us a variety of different woods, provided advice on what kind of installation, gave us 3 foot by 4 foot samples to take home to help us visualize the different woods in our home. She also gave us a quotes on the job, including different types of hardwood. She was a fantastic fount of knowledge on different installations and different types of wood and different finishes. She qouted the price and the date on which the installation took place. The workmen showed up on time, finished the different phases on time and disrupted our life as little as possible. They were exceptionally dilegent in keeping the inconvienience of having a work site and finishing going on in the middle of our home. They finishe when they said they would, they charged what they said they would, they were more friendly and more willing to accomodate our schedule. They were great.

I was delighted. The estimator showed up on time, and I received their proposal 2 days later, in early November. Price was $300 less than a competitor. At that time they couldn't commit to do the work the week after Christmas; however I called back at the end of November and they agreed to the week I wanted. They did the work on time as promised. They left the place spotlessly clean. The floor looks great.

Estimator was very knowledgeable about the specific parquet flooring. He had been a distributor for that brand of flooring (Bruce) many years earlier. Knew its composition, thickness, etc. HIs specific knowledge of the floor and his detailed description of their process to restore the floor were the deciding factors in choosing this company although their quote was higher than the other quote obtained. Workmen appeared as scheduled and were very meticulous in their work. Performed as advertised. Also used their "dustless" system which involves a trailer size vacuum cleaner (parked in the street) attached to their sanders via long hoses. Kept the dust out of the house. To reduce odor from the poly, is best to be able to open windows/doors to let area air out. (Don't want to open before poly has set up as would let dust and dirt into area!) Am very pleased with the result and would definitely use them again.

They did a good job. They did what we wanted and it was a clean.

I could not have been happier with them. The workers from Clark's were super. Their prices were lower and the work was superb all the way around. I couldn't say enough about them. I have absolutely no complaints about them and I would use them again.

They were very friendly and accommodating. We had a misunderstanding on something, and they were very patient and accepted my version of it. I?m not sure how good their work was, but they repaired the floor and made it right. When you talk about hardwood floors, if you have to refound them, it means that you are compromising the floor. They were very good at fixing things.

It went very well. They used a vacuum system as they sand, plus they draped plastic from floor to ceiling so no dust from sanding went throughout the house. The floors are restored back to their original beauty.

The company is very responsive and prompt. They came out and left an estimate within one day. Approx. cost is $3000. The price came in very high compared to the other companies on Angie's List.

They came out and gave us an estimate and some great advice on which floors to refinish. (We didn't want to do all the floors as we couldn't move out completely with a newborn baby.) The floors are beautiful and the price was right. Only two tiny things that weren't perfect: they left the front door open when they were working when the A/C was on (also left in quite a few flies). And they left one of the doors off the hinges and didn't put it back. When we called to let them know, they apologized and immediately offered to come out and rehang the door.

It was a very reasonable price when compared to other providers. For the work they did, I definitely got my moneys worth. I also liked how open they were with their suggestions, as well as being open to mine. They were a pleasure to work with and I would recommend them to anyone.

I got 3 bids, and theirs was the highest (this doesn't mean that it was high, just in comparison, one of the other bids seemed exceptionally low). But their experience, reviews on Angie's List, their written bid, etc., convinced me that I should work with them. They were efficient, friendly and thorough. They did a good job of taping off the areas to prevent dust from going everywhere. The floors are beautiful. I am very pleased and plan to bring them back next year for more.

The work was very detailed and they did an excellent job. This company is family-owned and has been in business for 20 years and they are so friendly. The wife called on several occasions to make sure that that we were satisfied. The work took over a week, but it was worth it. I was very impressed and I would highly recommend them to anyone. There was no dust when they were working and they were so clean.

Clark's did an excellent job. The finished product has exceeded our expectations. Friends & neighbors think it's a brand new floor. We opted to use their dust free system which is a curb side truck that receives all the fine wood dust via hoses attached to all sanding equipment. This made the job go very fast & the house was literally dust free. Even so they set-up crew covered & sealed all pictures, display cabinets & kitchen cupboards with plastic. All crews were extremely courteous & professional. The office personnel were responsive & were careful to answer all our questions.
