Clark's Hardwood Floors

Clark's totally delivered. the workers were prompt, courteous and cleaned up everyday. We couldn't decide on a shade to stain the wood and were cooperative and patient in sampling 8 different stains on the floor. they returned after 2 weeks to apply another layer of polyurethane when we asked. I would recommend Clark's Hardwood Floors based on our experience and would happily use them again.

They did it once and color and shine was not to our satisfaction. Did it again right away perfectly.

Clark sent an estimator out on the agreed date and on time. a quote was received and quickly a price agreed on and the work was done expertly. Workers were knowledgeable, punctual and clean.

I thought Clark's Hardwood Floors did good work. We liked them. We like the showroom that they had but also that the could beat everything, stairs and stuff like that.

If I could give Clark's a higher rating than all A's I would! They were fantastic from start to finish. We initially were going to go with someone else, but after calling Clark's I'm so so glad we chose this great business. We had a tight turn around time and Sherry at Clark's did everything possible to get us started within just a couple days of me calling. We had someone come over to give us the bid the morning work started! They were fast, efficient, super friendly and knowledgeable AND patient with all of my questions. Plus as an AL member you get the bonus of the dust free system. And on top of all of that? Our floors are BEAUTIFUL. Seriously, couldn't have asked for a better job done, and done quickly AND for a great price (2k less than the other guys). Go with Clark's you will love it and love the service of this family biz.

Estimator arrived on time and provided complete estimate on time. The crew arrived, masked off kitchen, sanded, filled and finished the floor, a day operation. Great job!

It was setup for Veteran's Day. But there was no further communications about the time of arrival, nor the overall process - what they do, what we should do on the 1st day, 2nd day,, etc. I had to call in order find out when they would arrive. It seemed that the work crew was not in communications with the estimator, nor front office, as the work crew determined that our baseboards looked okay, therefore, didn't remove them prior to sanding. We were not home during the "four days", so it was difficult to have discussions with the work crew, but we called the front office most mornings, to report things that appeared wrong to us, and to ask for today's plans. None of the "corrections" that was discussed with the front office was done by the work crew. Repeat for Wednesday and Thursday. We arrived home Friday night, and the first thing that you noticed was the smell that was very strong. Overall things looks good, but then you noticed the door (from the garage) had both smeared the coating, as well as scuffed it. The insulation on the bottom of the door was wet and weatherstripping (the hairs of the brush-like seal) were stuck together and still wet. About half of the nail holes (from the rug tack boards) were not filled. Then, there's the dust - this process is not dust free, no matter what the estimator tells you - he told us that he was amazed at how clean (dustless) their process was, and repeated that a coule of times. They had to come back on Saturday, to work on the area under the door. He brought his kids, a couple who came running onto our new floors with their shoes on - while we're still walking gingerly in stocking feet over the still sticky floor. We waited two weeks - one week longer than we were told - before we moved any furniture back. The "environmentally friendly" treatment is NOT as durable as the older surface, as everything left scuff marks or tracks in the new surface - in empty coffee table on two thick rugs caused scuff marks. Then, there's the billing issues - as the work crew failed to install new baseboards and some trim, I called the office, to have those two items removed from the final bill. Despite the multiple calls, we still received bills that included the baseboards and trim. It was finally remedied.

Two employees were always on time. Clean, respectful and did their work well. When 1 needed to call office it was easy and concerns handled immediately.

On time, worked without stopping until end of day. The crew did a thorough job and made the baseboard 45 degree corners cuts properly. The last day of putting down the final coat, they worked until darkness.

They did an outstanding job. We were very pleased!

They were 1 of 2 we picked from Angie's List. Two quotes comparable. We liked the product by Clark's. Installation was on scheduled and well done.

The workers showed up on time, work was completed on time, cleaned up every day. They did an amazing job. The floors are beautiful. All the small details with the finishing touches were perfect.

It was a pleasure to have the men that did the tear out and new wood. The men that sanded and stained were all very neat and clean and did a great job!

I had someone else look at some floor damage, who said they may not be able to restore the floor. Then I contacted Clarks. They informed me they could repair the damage. They worked hard to work me in their schedule as my window for the work was before their typical lead time. After they were finished, the floors looked Stellar. I am very satisfied with their work!

The installed were friendly and they cleaned up afterwords. They did a great job and the price was very fair.

The guys showed up each morning within an hour of the time they said they were coming. Tony and Jose lead the group and other guys from their team showed up as needed. Tony and Jose worked quickly and confidently. They answered my questions and told me all about the process of refinishing. They masked off kitchen and wall art with plastic, sanded the floors with a machine and on the edges, by hand. They matched the stain perfectly. The last coat of polyurethane had a lot of debris in it. I called the company to talk about the debris, they sent someone out to take a look. You could tell the guys doing the work really cared that it was done right. They sanded again and recoated. The results were significantly better, still some hair stuck in the floor, but minimal. The floors look great overall. A friend came over and thought I had put in all new floors. The only thing I would have done differently... my previously white base moldings now have an inch of stain on them from the application of stain on the floor. The rag or sponge must have brushed the moldings around the rooms. Had I known this could happen, I would have asked them to tape off all of the base moldings initially. That would have taken care of it. Now I have to hire someone to repaint them all which is an inconvenience and an expense and I'll have to move the furniture again. My recommendation, tape the base molding at the start of the job. I have a lot more wood floors in my house. When it is time to refinish those floors, I'd call Clark's again first. It is obvious that they care about leaving their clients with beautiful floors.

'Went very well. On time. Made our house livable as possible. They were very neat and clean. Used a dustless system so there was no dust in the house after sanding. This system worked very well. Workmen were very accommodating with our change of color etc. Only down fall would be if they could have connections for a moving person to help move the furniture out and back into the house. Overall I'm extremely satisfied with the service and I will definitely recommend them.

I contracted with Clarks’s floors to put in new flooring to an addition to our bedroom then had the whole floor refinished. All the workers did an excellent job and were punctual. The workers were polite and informative about what was being accomplished. The floor matches the rest of house perfectly.

Everything went very smooth. the labor was completed in 2 weeks - workers were on time with the exception of 2 days. They were mindful of my 2 cats as well.

Everything about the experience with Clark's was professional and seamless. The initial consultation and estimate all the way to the final job. They were always on time and communication was always prompt and helpful, whether via email or on the phone. The only issue we had was there was a bit of a mixup with my expectations about how much time the renovation would take (all week), but they were very helpful and accommodating with my schedule. The installers were very professional as well and did a great job. I would definitely, and probably will, work with this company again.

Beautiful job. they recommended laying hardwood on an angle and it looks great. They had to take up the olf flooring. They were very neat and professional. They were always on time and left he space looking very clean.
