Michael came out and looked at my roof and told me it was in great shape . I did not have to worry and my roof should last another 15 years . He would not accept any payment. + -1 moreIt went fine. The date/time was changed a couple of times but in the end, they finished ahead of schedule. They had originally alarmed me with all of their disclosures. It sounded as though they would not be responsible for any reckless work practices. We have a pond and fountain that are close to the area so I was concerned. It turned out that the workers were very careful and diligent. I knew that they just wanted to cover themselves in case of problems, but it made me think that possibly they didn't care about safeguarding my property. But they were great and paid attention to getting the work done quickly, carefully and efficiently.

+ -1 moreThis was during the rainy season so it was difficult to schedule time to replace the roof, even though they said it will only take a day to get it completed. They were fully booked, but was put on a standby list to get the work done if an opening presented itself. They were able to complete the work in between the rains, even when we were out of town. We didn't have to wait long to get the work done.
Description of Work: There was a leak in a room extension and signs pointed to a possible roof leak. Damage was already done to the room ceiling so quick action needed to be done to replace the roof.

+ -1 moreThey did an excellent job. This work had to be done right after the tree was removed, so there was not much wiggle-room for scheduling. They were very accommodating of us and ensured that the work was scheduled the day after the tree was removed. They also came out during the tree removal to check that there was no extra unexpected damage to the roof. The work was done quickly and efficiently. We would not have known that they had come and gone had we not been looking out for them. They cleaned up after themselves, leaving everything in great condition.
Description of Work: We had a tree removed that was growing through the roof of our house. After the removal, we needed the roof patched. Bill Hamilton Roofing did this for us.

Description of Work: Eric arrived on time but did only a cursory loa y rf. Expectn Rain the next day, I asked Eric if he woould sprad oneof my tarps over the leaking area... HE DECLINED saying he would instead send a proposal the next day.. He sent the proposal leaving me no time to compare or negotiate. the following day I was admitted to IICU at Stanford Hospital for 12 days. It rained hard for 6 days and the ceiling of my Master Bath Leaked. Now I have even a bigger job to repair damage.

Description of Work: 10-12-12 Eric from Bill Hamilton Roofing met with me to inspect my existing heavy shake roof to evaluate how much time was left on it. Eric was on time, very nice, knowledgeable, and above all "HONEST". Per Eric, my existing roof still had a few good years still left in it. Actually, I had gotten another evaluation prior to Eric's to confirm the status and get price quote on replacing it. Eric confirmed my own evaluation and we agreed to do a "tune-up" on my exsiting shake roof, which was the same recommendation I had received for the other roofing contractor. Bill Hamilton's price was right there with the other bid I'd received. So, on 11-1-12 two of Bill Hamilton Roofing's men showed up to preform the tune-up. The two roofer were on time, very nice and professional and did an outstanding job, not skimmping a bit. They actually went the extra mile on the tune-up. I was impressed and I don't say that lightly. When my roof finally is ready for a re-roof, you can be sure that Bill Hamilton Roofing will be on the top of my list for doing the job. Rich B. + -1 moreWe had three encounters with Bill Hamilton Roofing. First was an inspection for a new home purchase, second was some minor repair work for damage brought up in said inspection, but where they really impressed me was in response to some emergency repair work. Their inspection and repair work came with a 1-year guarantee on the roof. When the heavy rain hit, either the roof was damaged or they had missed something; either way we had the roof leaking at 6 in the morning. They sent someone out that morning and he got it fixed perfectly. Everyone we've dealt with at the company was helpful and friendly. I'm only dinging them slightly in the responsiveness category because at one point I was getting some mixed messages on when the first round of repair work had been done - one division of the company didn't know what the other was doing, but that seems like a minor quibble in the face of what they did for us. We will definitely be giving them a call when it comes time to replace the roof.
