Dave arrived on time & took a few minutes to survey the work to be done & communicated best/worse case scenario to me for an OK, before beginning the job. His estimate of time & cost to complete was right on. He is very neat and cleans up any mess. He also was careful to reuse parts. For example, when he took the light fixture out from the bedroom to put in the track lighting system, he used the bedroom fixture to replace the broken fixture in the bathroom, saving the expense of buying a new one.

Excellent. Dave was very responsive and accommodating. He turned up on time, and was professional and courteous. He even suggested options for using a now defunct switch.

It went very well, Dave was very polite and on time and he did the work as described quickly.

Dave showed up promptly at 8:30 am. We discussed the placement of the two outlets I wanted installed inside and outside the garage wall. Dave installed an outside outlet utilizing an unused opening in the garage wall. This eliminated my concern about making another cut into the siding. Dave installed the inside outlet in a convenient place on the garage wall. He also, suggested replacing an electrical cord that wasn't up to code with proper electric conduit. I agreed and was pleased that he took the time to check the wiring. Overall, I was very pleased with Dave, the cost, and his workmanship. I plan to call him back in the spring when I need some wiring done again.

Power is off in part of the house and back on after a while by itself. I suspect the problem is with main circuit breaker. I called multiple electricians and find that Alan is a nice, competent one. It takes a while to schedule an appointment with him since he is the owner/worker of his own company. On the appointment date, Alan showed up on time, checked other possibilities and suggested that the main circuit breaker is probably the culprit based on my description of the problem to him. He is not sure because the problem did not happen when he is at my property. I told him to replace the main circuit breaker anyway. The actual replacement work is less than 5 min. He did not have the part on hand and went to Home Depot to get it. The cost is $75 (his hourly rate) + actual part cost ($26.98). Once the old circuit breaker is out, we did see that the old part is bad. We made the right decision to replace it. I am very happy with Alan and highly recommend his service.

I called Dave at Alan Electric based on what reviews I saw in Angie's List. He called me back promptly, was nice, and seemed interested in doing the work. He said he'd be over to do an estimate Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning and he would call when he was on his way. After one week he called back. I had already found someone else to do the work.

Job was done within the estimated cost and done professionally and timely. Very happy with his work. Have already planned to use his services again in a couple of months.

Good job and Dave made sure I was satisfied. He even offered suggestions for the electrical layout and provided some helpful electrical advice.

Dave Alan Nagel is the owner and does all of the work. He was very responsive, coming the day following my call, and was on time. He is quite outgoing. He did a good job completing the tasks. He took a bit longer than he had estimated, but only asked for the payment he had quoted originally. I paid him a bit extra for his extra time, since I thought he had done a good job.

I was very happy with the work. Dave was able to perform the work on short notice and within a small window while my driveway was being replaced.

I obtained three bids for this work. Some contractors will quote you by your zip code and jack up the price. Dave did not do that. He gave me a fair and reasonble quotation for the work. He was prompt in answering my calls and I had no problem in scheduling the work. The job was completed in a few hours without fuss. The solution Dave came up with is straight forward and gets the job done. Bottom line, is that Dave will give you a fair price for honest work.

He showed up when he said he would, or within a half-hour window, was very friendly and polite, and I was delighted that he was able to do the things I needed done. Another electrician I had spoken to on the phone (not on Angie's List) was very negative as to whether it would be possible to do what I wanted done, and that OTHER electrician wanted $150. just to come out and have a look! I was so thrilled to have Alan Electric come out at half that price and do what I needed done, and with a pleasant, friendly attitude. So, I got good work from a nice person at a reasonable price.

We enjoyed working with Dave Nagel. He is pleasant, and will discuss openly what options are, and what his suggestions are, then when decision is made, gets right to work. I liked that he was respectful of our belongings (removed his shoes when he first came into the house, and washed his hands before working with clean white switches and fixtures). Hourly rate was good. His method of tracking his time was very fair. We will use Dave for any future electrical work that we have.

This is a one person operation. Dave returned our phone call promptly and we set up an appointment for the same day. He arrived on time and discussed the work with us. Then he had to go out and get the replacement parts and he returned and completed the job. Dave was pleasant and knowledgeable. We would hire him again.

Overall experience was excellent. Dave was busy, but informed us of his availability and stuck to his commitments. He was also flexible to split the job to accommodate the landscaper's schedule. He was also helpful in replacing the motion detector light when the initial one was defective, without any additional cost.

Dave arrived on time and discussed the options. After we agreed on which option would best suit my needs, he did a neat, professional job at a reasonable cost. That Dave was also a nice person was a plus. I would definitely hire him again.

They were prompt, friendly, and very reliable. I plan to have Dave help with our upcoming kitchen remodel.
