We've had David out twice now for minor electrical work and have plans to have him out for multiple projects in the near future. His prices are very reasonable, the quality of his work is good and he's incredibly friendly. He's patient and professional and doesn't mind answering questions. A great find indeed!

Dave had to be out of town during the time I needed the work done (I ended up doing the job myself), but he listened to a description of the job and was made very helpful comments on how it might be done and code considerations. He was very pleasant and not pushy.

Things went very well. It was a good job. He was very personable and professional.

I left a message on Dave's voice mail on a Friday night. He called back Saturday morning and came and looked at the job that same Saturday in the afternoon. We scheduled a mutually convenient time for him to return to do the work, which happened to be the following Friday. During the week, as promised, he faxed me a proposal, followed up with a telephone call confirming receipt of the fax and I accepted the proposal. He arrived on time to do the job, was extremely professional and very competent. I would absolutely hire him again.

Dave is sole owner and does all the work himself. Took my call, discussed project, arranged time to start. Was there on time, quickly reviewed situation. A quick trip to hardware store for special parts was followed by smooth installation. Was a nicely done job by a very nice man.

Repaired the small one. Needed part for larger one. Call mfg, and when came in a few days later with part, although the manual called for this (we had manual) it did not work and he called mfg and then to a tech there who said the manual was not correct as there was a change, so he had to sent the part back, did not charge for the visit, and came back in a few days with the correct part and it worked!!!!

Dave was courteous and professional. He accomplished everything we needed.

I had thought that I would be able to install the light fixtures myself. After Dave did the rough-in and after two bouts of flu, I finally finished painting my bathroom. I opened up the boxes and was shocked to discover that the instructions looked nothing like the fixtures. I had no clue how to install them. I was so ignorant that I thought that Dave might have done the rough-in wrong. I called Dave and explained the situation. I also explained that I was having financial problems of biblical proportion and could not pay him. He came over that afternoon. After looking at the fixtures and instructions, he agreed that it was confusing; but he knew what to do. He had to replace some of the screws because they were poor quality. It took 90 minutes of his time. He got them installed, and they are gorgeous. I told him that I will send him a check when I have the money. He told me not to worry about it; he was happy to help me. However, I will send him a check because I don't think good people should be taken advantage of.

Fabulous. I can understand why Alan Electric--Dave--has received such high ratings from Angie's List members. I called in the morning and fortunately, he said he had an opening to check out the problem that I described. He arrived within minutes of when he said he would. After he listened to what I described as my problem and everything I had done, he went right to work. He was extremely thorough in checking out every possible detail. He was able to tell me things that I didn't know about my house, even discovering a non-existent fan that the builder forgot or neglected to install. Finally, he checked something that I had not checked, a little used three-way switch that was in the half-on positiion. That was it. What a relief--I had envisioned a major rewiring job! Thank you, Dave.

He returned my call within an hour and and came within two days, checked the problem, gave me an estimate, went out and got the part, returned and installed it.

He was great. He was punctual and charged me less than expected. The problem was fixed quickly.

Fantastic! The work was done in a timely manner and was high quality. Dave knew what he was doing and obviously sets high standards for himself! I would absolutely hire him again. The only caveat is that Dave is popular (thanks in large part to this list) so he is heavily booked. You may need to wait awhile to get your work done, but none of our work was emergency work. Truly, the wait was worth it!

Dave arrived on time. He is a very pleasant man. He performed the job very efficiently and well. He was awesome. He was courteous getting the job done quickly. He only charged us $150 for two hours work.

I had an issue with a tripped circuit breaker in my home and a brunt out GFI outlet in my garage. I gave the company a call and they were able to come out to my house that same day. Which was amazing, as it was a couple of days before the Thanksgiving Holiday. They did some trouble shooting and quickly determined the issue and completed the repairs in one visit

Dave looked at what I wanted him to do and gave me a very professional cost estimate. He worked very efficiently and cleanly, and he was a pleasure to have in my home. Because of the severe angle of the ceiling, he was unsure of how to actually install the fan. After considerable research, Dave told me he felt unqualified to install the fan for me, but he deducted that portion of the estimate from his final bill. I have recommended him to several friends, who were very happy with him and who, like me, will use him again.

Dave was at our door at exactly the time he'd promised, was very polite and extremely professional. I explained our problem(s) and he went right to work. Not only did he fix our kitchen electrical problem, he did it a few minutes by discovering the it was, after all, a circuit breaker that had "popped" was not detectable to my untrained eye. He could have told me anything, and I would have had no reason to question him, but, rather he was honest. A rarity, unfortunately, these days. As the kitchen electrical only took a short time to resolve, Dave then installed the new outlet where we wanted it, and even offered to vacuum the minimal residue that resulted. And, lastly, he gave us an estimate for the outdoor lighting work I want done at a later date. I'm VERY impressed with Dave! I would CERTAINLY use him again as the need arises. A WONDERFUL experience....

Dave stopped by our house. I told him what we needed, he drove to Home Depot to buy the items and returned to install the devices.

Responded quickly to initial phone call, came exactly when he said he would. Once he saw what he had to do, he altered his approach, told me why, and it ended up costing less than his original estimate. Also ensured project was within code.

A handyman had improperly installed some light switches, so many were not working. While fixing the switches and installing the recessed lights, the contractor noticed the existing recessed lights were also installed improperly, so I had him fix them as well. One recessed light required some drywall work, and he recommended a buddy of his to handle the drywall work. He charged for less time than he actually spent.

It went better than I expected. There were no problems and the work was done in a timely manner.

Took about two hours overall. Easy to work with, and was willing to go up in my attic in the heat of the day. Kept at the problem till he found and fixed it. Took a couple of days and a few phone calls to nail down a time with him.

Found that the wiring in the ceiling was wired wrong by previous owner. Took a long time to figure out what was wrong with the circuit. Did a great job troubleshooting problem. Did a professional job and cleaned up area after work was done.

He did a great job diagnosing the problem with the lights in our house and explaining what it was. He was fast and came over right away on a weekend. He always got back to me right away. He was very communicative, he didn't just try to get us to do things that we didn't need to get done. He was very honest.

He arrived a few minutes early and went right to work on installing the fan. Very professional and very personable. Will definitely have him again. Left everything clean and neat.
