I had several roofers provide me with estimates. Most of them provided estimates on the spot or mailed me an estimate. Greatway came back with a thorough portfolio with a cost break down for their estimate. I was impressed by their professionals that came out. They followed up with me and encouraged me to keep in touch with them. They made sure the job was going smoothly and to my satisfaction. They had competitive pricing.

They were great. I had called out to seven different roofing companies and GreatWay Roofing was the only one that came out and actually got on my roof, number one, and really took the time to try to find out what the problem was and he spent time trouble shooting. He had one of his tech guys come back later in the day and I give them 10 out of 10 on everything.

Matt and Martin were great to work with and very communicative with me throughout the process. They were willing to work with the additional issues of the attic fan and the solar panel, which I did not always find with other roofing companies. The entire job only took 2 days, which was fantastic. The roof looks great! It has not rained yet to give it a true test, but I will let you know how it holds up then. Thanks!

The thing that most impressed us about them was we had started to notice a leak in one of our bedrooms and a friend of mine gave us their name. So we called them up, they came out. We were sure that it was going to be expensive as we had a tiled roof. The guy came out, walked out into the ad deck and the room and said that we did not have to do the whole roofing but have to do just the front half. They scheduled the job instantly, were honest and wouldn’t do anything just do make a bigger pay cheque. They did all job in one day. They came out, took all the tiles on the roof and put them back in all one day. It was a very pleasant experience dealing with them as it was a nightmare. We were happy with the work they did and haven’t had any leak since then.

GreatWay Roofing couldn't have provided a better experience. Their quote was given within the time frame specified, and even though I didn't actually pull the trigger on the project until 6 months later, they honored the original quoted price. They are also the only company (out of 5 separate quotes) that pointed out my 2 layers of wood shake roof. All of the other companies that quoted the job either missed that or didn't mention it. To top everything off, GreatWay came in with the lowest quote. When it came time to do the job, there were delays due to weather, and each time the roof was delayed, they called me well in advance to reschedule for a later date. When the tear-off happened, the contracted tear-off team forgot to clean up my garage, so GreatWay did that clean-up when they showed up the following day, saving me a ton of work. I had also asked for some additional sheets of plywood so that I could build out a crawl space in my attic. They had no problem giving me the extra wood at their volume price, and even cut the 8' x 4' plywood sheets in two and slid them into the crawl space at no extra charge. They also left me with a box of spare composite shingles in case I needed them in the future. Everyone on site was courteous, and they completed the job exactly when they said they would. They followed up with phone calls, and even helped work out some issues with the city inspector (issues not related to the project, but complicated paperwork problems from the City of Los Angeles). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend GreatWay Roofing to anyone. -

Let me tell you all the good things about GreatWay Roofing. Everything! Everyone we dealt with, Josh, Julie and Martin, were helpful and professional. They keep us in the loop every step of the way. The roof tear off and new installation were flawless, the cleanup amazing. What we appreciated most is their follow through. They went the extra mile of going several times to Building & Safety to make sure all permits get signed off. Everyone at GreatWay Roofing have been a pleasure to work with, this was a worry free experience!

They were one of the higher priced companies but they seemed very reputable. They gave me the impression they really stand behind their work. They were very easy to talk with and instilled a lot of confidence.

I noticed some water damage in my home and called for an estimate. The estimator Matt cam out and immediately discovered the problem, and well as a second leak (which he was able to show me the damage from as well), as well as about 1 dozen broken tiles. His professional emailed estimate was very thorough, and include photographs. Martin called and scheduled the job, and they arrived on time and finshed quickly. We had a couple of weather delays (not their fault), but they always called and advised ahead of time. I would recommend them.

Matt was very personable and easy to work with. He made me feel like my job was just as important as any other. He worked hard to earn my business and ensure that I was happy with the project from start to finish.

There were water stains on the drywall ceiling and walls in my downstairs family room. I contacted GreatWay roofing as my first experience with Angie's list, not knowing what to expect. The estimator, Josh, called to confirm the appointment, arrived on time, took off his shoes when inspecting the interior of the home. He did an accurate and non-rushed assessment of the problem, quoted a fair and reasonable price and left me with a no pressure situation. He provided inexpensive alternatives to solving the problem. Josh even put a tarp on the roof to hold back and rain that might have leaked into the home within the next several days. I received a telephone call before the day the labor was to be completed asking for a reschedule due to predicted rain. Josh felt he wanted at least a 2-day window of clear weather to allow the repair material to properly cure. The repair technician, Tony arrived in a timely fashion on the appointment day. He was courteous, professional, well spoken and experienced. He explained the entire repair process, re-identified the problem areas, outlined how the repairs were to be made and did so in a timely manner. He too was clean, respectful, honest and genuinely appreciative of the work given to him. He also inspected other roof areas of the entire home and identified several other areas of possible problem. He then fixed the areas at no additional charge. I know that my 17 year old roof will have to be replaced within the next 2-3 years. I was, however, delighted to have the immediate problem corrected in a timely, safe and professional manner. Now, when I'm ready to re-roof, I know who to call 1st for a competitive estimate. I was 100% pleased with the entire work and process of this contractor. If the roof patch truly holds up as well as the good word and attitude of GreatWay Roofing, I'm sure to use these guys again and again. GREAT EXPERIENCE.

One of the things I like about Greatway is that they have their own dumpster truck. No garbage company dumpster sitting in front of the house for a week before and a week after. They tore off the old roof on the first day and put on the new roof the 2nd day. Greatway also takes care to clean up around the house at the end of each day-they didn't leave any nails or debris for anyone to accidentally step on while they were doing the job. Very clean, very fast, and very efficient.

I decided to only fix the leak and Great Way not only fixed the leak but also cleaned up other debris and such from the entire roof. They sealed and painted all pipes, removed loose debris, and fixed broken ties. They always cleaned up their day's work and were a pleasure to work with.

We recently used GreatWay after finding them on Angie's List. They repaired a couple of leaks in my roof, and I was extremely pleased with their service. They called me back, were friendly, showed up on time, they cleaned up after themselves, and I would recommend them to anyone! If need be, I would use them again in a second!

The experience with Josh, and the company, was excellent from beginning to end. The job was done as agreed. They even came back to repaint the roof vents.

I had had a roof inspection prior to buying this 1989 home. Signs of leaks were noted and recommendations for repairs made. I had Greatway roofing come to review the report and make recommendations. I was extremely pleased with the amount of time and attention that was taken before any recommendations were made. It was not a clear cut case and alternate approaches were reviewed in detail and with great thought. When I noticed signs that there could be a leak as evidenced by a stain on my ceiling they returned and again spent a great dealm of time inspecting the situation. Again alternatives were proposed. No pressure was applied to make the more expensive choice. If anything great care was taken to make sure I did not do work that may not be needed at this time. I ultimately choose the maintenance option as opposed to repair. Two men performed the work, on time and in a very professional manner. I could not be more pleased. Ultimately I think I have found the source of the leak, a plumbing problem and not the roof. I highly recommend this company without any reservations. Karen H.

They did an outstanding job. I was very satisfied and I had no complaints. The rate was reasonable. I knew I needed plywood to bring it up to code and they found some plywood already in place in good condition. They reduced their estimate and continued the job rather than taking me for the full amount. I would absolutely use them again.

Called them because of great rating. The next day a woman called and I told her about my roofing problem and said that someone would call me and set appointment. No one called.

It went very well. They came each day at 8:00 a.m. sharp and they cleaned after themselves, very quick job and very happy.

Called the office of GreatWay Roofing on around August 4. 2011 for an appointment to check out leaks in two areas of my roof and received a call back within the hour. Josh came out a couple of days later for the estimate. I showed him the two areas inside the house where we have damage from the leaks and then accompanied him to the roof and showed him the areas where I thought the leaks would start. He inspected and agreed that those where the areas that needed attention. He promised me to e-mail me a detailed estimate for the repair in a couple of days which he did. I received estimates from 2 other companies and they where all pretty similar. I liked that Joshe's was very detailed and he took pictures for his crew. After a few days I contacted him and awarded him the job. A few days later I received a call from Martin that the crew could start on the following Tuesday. They showed up, did their job very efficiently and professionally, cleaned up after themselves and left. A few days later I received the bill exactly in the amount that I was quoted for and I am very happy with the services that I received. We will see the next time when we have heavy rains if these areas where truly the ones with the leaks.
