They'll be replacing the roof shingles. I think they're responsive without being hard sell. The quote came in much less than we were expecting.

I was very impressed with the owners of this company. They are extremely punctual and responsive. We negotiated a very good price and they completed the work on schedule. Unfortunately, after only 2 years, there was a leak. Greatway came out, inspected the problem and admitted their error, which demonstrates integrity. They have repaired the leak, which was very minor, and they will be repainting my guest bedroom as soon as I pick a color and set up the date. I wish I could give them an A in every category, as I believe they are a first rate company.

They were responsive, professional, and did a super job. They came when they said they would and did the job. They also cleaned up after the work. They do quality work and if they are stumped, they get one of their foremen to come out to solve the problem.

We had a leak and they were able to find the source of the problem. Free estimate was thorough and comprehensive review problem. Their bid was higher than another company but they offered a guarantee and spent more time inspecting the roof. The work involved removing a section of tiles, replacing the tar paper and some wood battens. Also a general tune up of the roof, cleaning gutters and resealing. The crew was on time and did a good job. They did exactly what was in the estimate.

First they covered the pool, the awning in the back of the house, the A/C unit, pool equipment, etc. prior to tear off. Then they started the tear off. The crew worked very hard. The tear off took two days due to the fact that the previous roofer had used staples to fasten the old shingles. They cleaned up every night after finishing the days work. Then the new shingles, tar paper, wood for repairs, etc. were delivered. They started the actual installation after repairing the wood. This went very smoothly, and in a day and a half I had my new roof. It is beautiful. My wife and I are very pleased. Since we had the solar on the roof we needed a roof that would hold up under foot traffic from solar guys doing their thing up there. After A LOT of research, which Matt helped us with, we selected GAF Camelot shingles. They are expensive, but gave us the durability that we needed. That drove the price up, but it was our decision. We also decided to have them install a ridge vent to help cool the attic. Matt Saeger and his brother Mark visited the site every day to oversee the work. They didn't really have to, because the crew was very experienced, conscientious, and reliable. The crew was also very friendly and professional. I interviewed six different contractors, narrowed it down to two, and selected Matt and GreatWay. It was an excellent decision that I have not regretted! I would highly recommend them to anyone contemplating a new roof. On Friday February 28, 2015 we had torrential rain with high winds. I thought that this would be an opportunity to see just how watertight the new roof was. Everything was tight and dry except for a small trickle coming down the exhaust vent from my furnace. It was a very tiny leak, but I thought that I had better have Greatway come out and check it out. They came and looked at it in the attic and out on the roof. There was no leakage from the shingles, but the high winds had blown some rain into the vent. There was nothing that they could do about that, and it was only a tiny bit of water. While they were up there they noticed a large amount leaves and tree fibers in the gutter. They went along the front of the roof and cleaned all of the leaves out of the gutter!! That's what I call great service!! Thanks Matt and Mike!

Matt and his family were wonderful to work with. They were honest; prompt; and their price was excellent! They removed the roof, enclosed some skylights and added vents and the job came out awesome! They were a complete joy to work with from start to finish and also after the job providing warranties etc. This is a family run business and you can tell they take great pride in their work and business. It comes across in spades. Any one doing a roof should very strongly consider Matt and Greatway Roofing. You will be happy you did! One of the best things about them is their response turnaround. I would email them and I got a reply within a very short period of time.

They looked at the roof, offered a realistic budget, gave us several options of roof shingles and explained the difference. Came the day they said they would and finished the job in three days as promised. The job was completed impeccably. They did not leave any trash behind.

The roof over my loft in the 3-car garage had sprung a leak. I had called other roofers to estimate the repair, but their prices seemed a little high, so I put off the repair. I decided to look on Angie's List to try to find a reputable, well thought of company to do the work. I found GreatWay and was pleased to see the large number of positive reviews. They sent Matt Saeger out to give me an estimate and he not only estimated the repair, but he also gave me a second option to avoid spending the same money twice when I replace the entire roof (Its now 25 yrs old and may be nearing end-of-life). My finances dictated the "repair" option, but when GreatWay came out to do the repair, they also did a "tuneup" of the rest of the roof while they were here. This company is great. They treat their customers with respect, are easy to work with, responsive and professional. This company is now my go-to for any roofing needs.

They came at the time promised to give me an estimate. Was totally professional. Discussed the leak plus another problem I wasn't aware of. He took a photo to show me the other problem area. I had a second estimate done which was cheaper. But I felt Great Way could do a better job and went with them. They arrived as promised and finished the work in 6 hours, as promised. Total pros. I'm very happy and would use them again.

The crew arrived on time and was very efficient. I was nervous about the price getting out of hand as a third layer of roofing was found that had to be removed, and much rotted wood was found that needed to be replaced. I called the owner and he drove out to my house and assured me that they would work with me on the price, and they did. The job was done very professionally in only two days, and the crew did a good job cleaning up.

They are very prompt and got the job done promptly and check things out for me to make sure there wasn't any leaks. I was happy with the service. I thought there was a leak and they came out right away to checked it and they could have told me there was and that was going to cost a whole lot of money because I don't have way of determining it myself but told me that there tiles needed to be replaced and there are some maintenance that needs to done but other than that, that's all that was needed and they're back out with in a few days to get that done. I can't see the tile but I'm assuming that was good.

Overall, the project was fast and efficient! They repaired quite a large section of my Spanish tile roof (20'x40') and created new flashing to go around the chimney. They also performed a full maintenance on the entire roof, replacing broken tiles and replacing grout where needed. I think they were very thorough.

Everything went well. They offered a good price. They showed up on time, were very very neat (yard was cleaner than it was before they started), and I would certainly use them again.

The owner, Josh Marx, was puzzled by our problem and so he had his foreman come by. The foreman did an excellent fix and we have had not problems since. We had to wait until there was sufficient rain to show the problem area. The work was done professionally and quickly.

GreatWay provided an estimate over the phone. When the men came out and did the work they stuck to the estimate - no run around, no up-selling. They completed the work efficiently and effectively. The reason I graded them a C on responsiveness is because I called them on a Wednesday and left a message. I was not contacted until the following week. When I received a return call, I got the impression that I was going to need to speak to an estimator who would call me back. Instead I got an estimate in the mail a few days later. Strange process - completely unclear. I would recommend that they set the clients expectations a little better, by explaining the process more clearly. All in all they did the work as promised and as best I can tell they did a good job (I'm not climbing up on the second story to verify). We have had some significant rains however, and no leaks, so that must be a good sign.

It was a pleasure to work with GreatWay Roofing. Martin happened to be in our area the day that we first called to make an appointment for an estimate so we were added to his schedule. We were provided three options to consider and each was thoroughly explained. Once we decided which option we were going to take, a date was set to begin the job. We were told that it would take two and a half days to complete and it did just that. The crew did a great job of cleaning up the yard and driveway at the end of each work day. Matthew came by each day to let us know how the job was progressing and answer any questions we might have. We would highly recommend GreatWay Roofing. Their customer service is exceptional.

We did our homework before calling any roofing companies. (Did you know Ventura Library actually has a college text book on roofing!) We got several estimates for the job. Matthew from GreatWay answered all our questions before we even asked them. (His description of the way they do roofing was like the textbook.) He was prepared with an information folder and we felt confident they would do a good job. After we contacted for the job they continued to be helpful. Matt even brought over sample shingles when we couldn't decide on the color and also provided a list of jobs they had done so we could check them out and get a better idea of the look. When they actually started the job, the boss checked in regularly. The crew knew their jobs and worked well together. They were fast and efficient and had the job completed in only 2 days. The roof looks good and the new vents are keeping the attic and garage cooler. (GreatWay included 5 vents, others only offered 1 or 2.) GreatWay is easy to work with. The only worry we had was picking the right color. They took care of everything else.

The Greatway crew arrived on time and completed the work in less than 2 hours. The effort was very professional and I would use this company again.
