+ -1 moreHe was new at the time, but he was recommended by a neighbor. He did everything for us, and he did some extra things that he didn't charge for, like adding an extra register in a room that wasn't getting air. We haven't had any problems since. The price was fair.
Description of Work: I used Castle Air Inc. When we moved in here 12 or 13 years ago, we had our system completely replaced, and added an air conditioning. We had him back once again to do the maintenance.

+ -1 moreWhen I called the owner/manager? Mike was very helpful. They were able to come out the only day I was available to be there since this is not my primary residence. They scheduled me in the morning, called 20 minutes in advance and arrived at the beginning of my time window. The technician was great and explained everything I needed to know about my furnace. It's relatively new, but one step was skipped upon installation (by previous owner). So he repaired that. My main concern was that I could not remove and replace the filter myself, so he added some clips to make that easier for me and replace the filter. He did a thorough examination of the system and explained all the possibilities and what I could do to upgrade it or improve it in the future. It was extremely helpful. He was there almost and hour and I cannot believe they only charged $98.00 for that. I was very impressed with the technician and found out he also services all the elementary schools in the district I live in.
Description of Work: Came to service my furnace at my recently purchased condo.

+ -1 moreCall was to fix furnace (replaced circuit board). Also noted that there would be problems with duct work that was not correctly installed. Fabricated new duct parts and installed. I trusted the owner completely and will use again.
Description of Work: Replaced circuit board in furnace and replaced some outside duct work that did not meet code.

+ -1 moreWe recently moved into our home and though the home was built in 2006 there was a problem with the air flow in the heating and air system. Castle Air was a day or so in getting back to me but once the appointment was made Jose arrived early and had the problem sorted out in a little over an hour. The price was very fair and I'm a happy camper!
Description of Work: Fixed the air bypass system in the heat/AC system. Changed filter. Explained the convoluted thermostat system!

+ -1 moreGreat! We are 1st time home buyers and qualified for a special program which allowed upgrades to our HVAC system for fuel efficiency. Everything needed to be HERS rated and Jose knew exactly what to do. We took several bids. He wasn't the lowest but seemed the most knowledgeable, honest and interested! His guys were in and out in 2 days, kept us updated on what was happening and even credited us some money for a pump he suggested initially but ended up not using. We passed inspection with flying colors and everything looks and works great! He also advised us on other possible rebate programs we may qualify for. Money well spent!
Description of Work: Installation of one new York Affinity Series 97% efficient fully modulating condensing gas furnace with variable speed blower. Installation of one new 4” filter base under furnace. Installation of one new York Affinity Series 13 SEER extra-quiet condensing unit with matching indoor evaporative coil. Installation of one new Venstar programmable thermostat. Installation of all new supply ductwork,UPC030 ultra-violet resistant with an R-8 value, in attic. Installation of manual air volume dampers in every branch and all joints are properly sealed with approved duct sealer and tape. Installation of new two pipe 2” PVC flue and inlet for furnace. Installation of liner and complete sealing of return air cavity. Installation of new secondary drain overflow safety switch. Installation of all new supply and return bar-type registers. Proper removal and disposal of old equipment. Necessary Permits. Installation of one new 40 gallon gas water heater with new valves. Installation of one new water heater pan.
