CALEXICO DOOR & MOLDING

Contacted provider 5/27/2013, installer had not started the project. Provider told us they had not finished repairing the doors and the installation would begin the following day and would be completed in one day. When installer again failed to show up, provider told us the installer had a family emergency. Provider added no one needed to be at the residence for the work to be completed. The installer, Joseph Ingle, was there three times before he finally completed the work on Saturday, 6/1/2013. My husband asked him about the missed appointment, he replied he had been sent on another call. We were having a garage sale and failed to inspect his work closely before he left on 6/1/2013. Nail holes that were caused by brad nails were visible throughout the frame, inside and outside the door jamb. Some of the brads were protruding from the door jamb, damaging the door by gouging the door every time it opened and closed. The top outside corner of one of the doors was damaged. Wood putty was used extensively in attempts to cover gaps. Corners did not align. The back door was unfinished, coated only with a primer finish. That Saturday, he repeatedly left the work site carrying materials. When asked why, he told my husband that he did not have tools and had to go to the store to use their tools to make cuts. We asked Mr. Ingle for a receipt after the installation, he informed us that all receipts were issued by Calexico Door & Molding and we were to contact them for a receipt. We started calling the provider on Monday, 6/3/2013. During that first conversation, provider said he would send the installer back. When we attempted to secure a date and time, he disconnected. Additional calls were met with the same result. We took photographs of the faulty work and a video. We hired someone else to repair the damage in order to get our rental property back on the market.
