The pick up with on January 27, 2016. Their binding estimate said the delivery would be between February 5th-13th. When they actually picked everything up and packed everything in the truck, they said the first available delivery date was February 13. They also mentioned it could take up to 10 business days after. I complained to the dispatcher because I needed the items delivered by the 12th. The dispatcher had assured me that there would be no issue with that delivery date and the items were going out on the truck the next day. I called back a week later and it still had not left the warehouse. When I spoke with customer service representative, she said it would be leaving tomorrow or the next day. She told me that you didn't pay for the specific delivery date. A specific delivery date wasn't required, only a "required by" time. The sales person told me I wouldn't have to purchase the additional service because it would definitely be there for the dates mentioned. This was also confirmed by the dispatcher. The representative told me it was going to be delivered on the 15th or 16th now. I spoke with her on February 10th. On February 11th or 12th, I spoke with driver and he informed me that they were broken down in Missouri. When the driver told me they were broken down, I called the customer service rep and they said they could text the drive. As of today, there is still no ETA or any additional information. On top of everything else, I had taken off work to move my mother in. Now, I will have to rearrange my schedule to figure out the moving situation. I also had to rent furniture for her apartment. At no time was there any offer of accommodation, especially with the truck breaking down. There was no communication from the office when the drive broke down. They never contacted me when they truck broke down. In additional, their binding estimate included a standard offer of full valuation coverage and various deductible coverage. Once the items were loaded on the truck, I was told the company doesn't offer full valuation coverage, despite what their estimate says. This forced me to scramble to obtain renters insurance that would cover the items in transit. I thought I would have a week to set up renters insurance while the items were on the way, but I had to do it the same day. If they deliver this week, it would have taken three weeks to get the items delivered. If it goes beyond this week, we will be approaching a month.

As we fully understand (member name removed) claim we do not feel that anything was done our of the standard protocol. (member name removed), was notified over the phone and in a written form about our valuation coverage before the move took place. Customer received a written Service Form where it stated the Estimate Cost ONLY included a BASIC VALUATION PROTECTION: $0.60 per lbs. per article at a $0.00, from his sales representative. Please see attached Copy #1. (member name removed) provided the company an electronic signature confirming his service online prior to the pick up. This form also notified (member name removed) he had an option to add additional insurance to his move. Please see attached copy #3. On the day of the pick up January 27th, 2016, he was presented with another page our ADDENDUM TO BILL OF LADING, where he released his shipment to a Maximum Value of 60-cents-per-pound Per Article. Please see attached copy #2. Here you will see where (member name removed) writes 60 cents per pound per article. This was our third notification provided to the customer about our Valuation Coverage. Prior to the move (member name removed) was notified our STANDARD ESTIMATED TIME FRAME for deliveries nationwide range anywhere from 1-21 business days, we try to work with an estimated time frame of 3-14 business days. This was notified to (member name removed) over the phone and in a written form prior to the move. Please see attached copy #3. On the day of the move he was asked by our foreman to please select on the INTERSTATE BILL OF LADING CONTRACT & ORDER FOR SERVICE his FIRST DATE AVAILABLE FOR DELIVERY. (member name removed) selected his DATE as of 2/13/2016. Please see attached copy #4. This date is very important for Dispatch who coordinates our deliveries using this date to guide himself. Please see attached copy #5. Copy number five provides you further details of the time frame a carrier is obligated to work with for a delivery and what important role does the "FIRST DATE AVAILABLE FOR DELIVERY" plays in a move. We are required to transport shipments within what a Federal Regulation (49 CFR 375.1) defines as Reasonable Dispatch. (member name removed) delivery took place on February 20th, 2016. Five business days from his first date available to when he was ready to receive his shipment. Please see attached copy #5, to verify delivery acknowledgement from (member name removed). We understand how important it is for the customers to receive their shipment in a timely matter. But in certain situations the customer has a specific delivery date or delivery time frame selected. With the approval of our Dispatch we can provide a GUARANTEE DELIVERY DATE, or a guarantee delivery time frame. Extra money is required per our full tariff rate to provide this service. Please see attached copy #3. This option was offered to (member name removed) prior to his pick up, but did not agree to the extra charge. Through out the move, (member name removed) was notified two delivery confirmations from the office, he was also given the direct contact information to the driver. They promised to call me back regarding a complaint, they never did. They gave me an estimate of $1785. They ended up charging me over $3300. They charged me over $800 for packing supplies. Quite a few things were damanged too.
