Todd was on time, professional, and did a decent job overall inspecting the 1970 home that we eventually bought. One complaint is that he does not seem to pay enough attention to electrical systems apart from checking if lights, plugs, switches, and major appliances work. He completely missed the fact that the home contained original aluminum wiring which is known to be unsafe for starting fires and as such has been banned from inside residential constructions about 30 years ago. Perhaps my expectations are too high but at least a verbal warning about the common use of aluminum wires in 1970 and the associated dangers would have been enough to alert us so we would request additional inspections. But no, no such luck. One can argue it wasn't a part of his job to but in my opinion it was a big oversight on his part. Home inspectors must know about aluminum wiring, even if they are not electricians. We are now stuck with aluminum wiring, or need to pay $$$$ to rewire the whole house with copper. So if you decide to hire Todd for a home inspection, do not forget to BYOE (bring your own electrician).

It has always gone very well. He arrives on time, takes 2-4 hours depending on the size of the house and gets of the report to us that night or the next day!
