Not pleased. His advertisement is completely misleading and I still have a carpet which is stained. Looks better, but I would not have paid $300 if I knew it was going to look like that. Also, his guarantee apparantly does not apply. The problem he has you initial that you think that the carpet cleaning was satisfactory, but he says that he will come back to spot treat areas if needed, and that to reclean the whole carpet would be an additional $50. You expect that because it is not looking good, that he will come back to clean those areas therefore you initial the contract.
Description of Work: This company has an add that states the following: "You will get the most thorough carpet cleaning ever ot it's free" That was not the case. When they first got here, they cleaned one room. Before they started, they said that the walk way will not come out. Also, after they finished the room, they didn't move the wicker couch to clean in that area. In my book, that is not the most thorough cleaning. The carpet did look slightly better and I was tempted not to do the rest of the house because of the cost and that I had a good quality wool carpet. Then he said it will be too expensive to put in a new carpet and that his cleaning will make the carpet look much, much better. After we asked him to come back and remove stains he had missed, he said that this was the worst carpet he has ever seen, and then retracted his statement and said the worst in the last two months. Funny that he didn't say that when he first arrived. "My guarantee to you: You get my 120% Iron-Clad Risk-Free Money Back Guarantee." After he came back, he said he could clean the carpet again, but would not take out all the stains. We said that we rather get a refund, which he then stated he can't give us back all our money and certainly not 120%. Then we agreed on $150 which he said he would mail the next day, Monday. After not receiving the check by Thursday, we called and the receptionist said that they mailed it on Tuesday. Never heard of local postal service taking 2-3 days, but as Friday arrive, I called again, and she did no have an explanation on why the check didn't come by. She said that she would call the director but never received a call back. I placed another call on Saturday after not receiving a check. Their advertisement does not have any price. When I called and asked for the price, they said that it was 20 cents per square foot. The issue is that when they arrive, they start adding on a deep cleaning and micro bacterial stuff so that the price per square foot ends up being slightly over $1 per sq ft. In addition, they don't move any funiture. In one of the rooms, I was going to move a chair (seems pretty simple to move a regular chair), then he said that he already moved it. Behind the chair was a lamp. After he came back the second time, I showed him where he didn't move the lamp and I asked why did he tell me he cleaned their when clearly he didn't. "That's why business has been built on referrals. Absolute honesty , integrity, and the willingness to satisfy you to the highest levels of any service business." "9-year proud member of Ethical Services Association" I looked up the website but could not see their name listed. "I love cleaning carpets - it's my talent. You get 14 years experience. I treat your home as if it is my own. I don't send technicians. I don't sub-out. I'm the owner. And I'm on every cleaning job." Two individuals showed up, and based on the pictures on the advertisement, it was not clearly that person. What is not clear who that person is on the advertisement. If it is not the owner, it seems misleading to have a family on the flyer who are not the owners. In addition, the two individuals that arrived did not look related and I am not sure what you would call them if not technicians. He even stated that he was not the owner that was his Uncle. Very misleading. Also, when I asked him about his calculations on the square footage because he was not moving any furniture, including a bed, day bed, dressers, lamps, desks, night stands, etc. If a small room is 10x10 and most of the room is covered by furniture, the actual square footage is not even close to 305 as they charged me. When I asked about his calculations, he just said it was an estimate and that I was getting a great price. During the carpet cleaning he said if I spot treated any areas, that they would become bleached. Interesting is that he only told me about that after he went over an area in the bedroom and a bleach spot appeared. Then when he was doing the hall way, a huge bleach stain appeared. Seems like he would tell you that before he starts cleaning the carpet, not after the stain appears. I don't know of to many people who don't spot clean their carpet every once in a while.
