I hired Sharp Remodeling to remove and replace my 25 year old roof, They gave me a quote that was at the low end of several quotes that I researched. This job required removing and replacing solar panels, A/C compressor and satalite TV antenna. The main reason I selected Sharp was the courtesy and honesty that felt from Gil, the owner. His recommendations of vents, relocation of solar panels, A/C support stand and rain gutters were exellent and turned out to be much better then I had expected. There were a few items I questioned and were immediately addressed and changed to my satisfaction, no questions asked. My first good impressions of Gil turned out to be absolutely true. His company follow up after the job was done was exceptional and I have only good feelings about the job they did and the integrity of the company.

Professional job

Informative representative, impressively efficient execution of the job. Important to make notes about what concessions and arrangements are made, because it is easy for the details to get lost in the rush to get the contract written and signed. Not quite as neat an appearance as we would have liked for the final product (lines where the layers have been sealed and the skylights are not neat in appearance any longer) and not as much care with things like replacing the screws in the skylights and not denting the housing, gutter was bent and the paint was scraped off it while debris being tossed from the roof, and lots of debris was blown into the pool. (Before the project started, we were reassured several times that we did not have to worry about removing gutters because it wouldn't be a problem, and the workers would take care). Multiple brackets that SHOULD be securing the gutters were torn out and found on the ground and we cannot get anyone from the company to take care of getting them replaced or to do anything but pass us from person to person without resolution. This was a large job, and it was remarkable that the entire project was completed in 3.5 days. Scheduling the inspector both before and after was a little frustrating since we couldn't seem to get it done at a time when WE were home and could talk to him, but that was not under the direct control of the Sharp crew. We were reluctant to make the final payment before the final inspection because we knew we would have no leverage to get a response but the rep. assured us that everything would be taken care of. Unfortunately, subsequent events have reinforced the reason for our reluctance, and we have been waiting a month for resolution, which is why the review hadn't been written up yet. We're still waiting to have this resolved and hope that things will move along now, Positives: Friendly, respectful, efficient crew, house is cooler, project completed well within estimated time Negatives: Not as informative about schedule as would be helpful, not responsive to complaint, video testimonial given prior to problem resolution Naturally, we will not know the effectiveness of the new roof until it rains, so there may be an update later.

From initial contact with Ben the project manager to the crew coming in to replace the roof - professional through and through. Another mark of an experienced and professional crew is how they finish each workday - by cleaning up around the property and keeping their materials organized and ready for the next day. Sometimes there are aspects of a job that are beyond their control (how long it takes to pull a permit, schedule city inspectors) but they seemed to know how to schedule everything in a way where best case scenario there was minimal downtime during the workday (which was my case). As a result, they finished the job efficiently.

My whole family was so happy with the work done by Dr. Roofs. We had the entire roof replaced and the house painted. The project was run by Joe Elady, who was a man we felt fortunate to meet! He helped us get exactly what we wanted every step of the way, carefully listening to our preferences and making sure the job got done to our complete satisfaction. He is a pleasure to talk to, and helped us to feel relaxed as the project got done. They were extremely fast! The roof was done in less than three days, and the painting was done quickly as well. We love the color we ended up with; the painter Jose took the time to mix samples for us until we found exactly what we wanted. Joe was thoughtful and communicative, very responsive, kind and considerate. We are so happy to have hired this company and would gladly do so again. Recommend highly.
