My husband and I used this company to replace all the windows when we bought the house. They also replaced the sliding door. They gave us a "lifetime" warranty. Fast forward a few years. The sliding door had become so hard, that once, as I was pulling on it to open it, the handle came off and I fell backwards, hitting my head on the pavement. My husband insisted on taking me to the ER to make sure I was OK. When the bill came, we contacted Aaron, CDW owner. He told us the LIFETIME warranty was not valid after so long! He also blamed our children for the handle coming off. Problem with this theory is we do not have any children. I explained that I wasn't looking for huge settlement, and we would be satisfied if he would pay half of my medical bill. He agreed. That was a couple of years ago. We never heard back from Aaron, and he will not take our phone calls. Instead of "liquid wood" his slogan should be "liquid warranty." I do not recommend this company; instead I suggest you find someone else whose word you can trust!

I like them because for the work they did, we don't have any problems. We thought they are all about the same price range. The other reason why we picked them was they were manufactured in California. I don't have any complaints with the company at all. They came when they came. They did the whole thing in one day. They are very good and very clean.

I was impressed with their product and the fact that it was manufactured in my neighborhood. Their price was fairly high at first. I was also talking to another contractor that I had found on Angie's List (CDW solicited me. I didn't find them on Angie's list). I was very impressed with the other contractor as well and he gave me a much lower price. However he would be bringing in windows from the same outside sources that everyone but CDW used. CDW matched the second contractors price so it really worked out for me. They were very professional, friendly, and efficient. I love my new windows!

The service was very good. We were totally pleased. It was a very good price. The only thing that was bad was that they couldn't deliver in two weeks that they told us. It wasn't their fault because their glass supplier had problems. It was the only thing that happened and made the promise for next week. They put in by the next morning. We talked to the owner of the company. We went to the facility to see the windows made. He was very knowledgeable and very hospitable. He bent over backwards to show us how the product was made and the quality. They explained us everything, so we knew what was going on. We are thinking of using them again for something else.

I love them. They were very professional and punctual. They did a fabulous job. My windows look great and I have had no problems with them. I would most definitely use them again.

They did the job very quickly and they were able to get the job done in one day. Their was a lot of crew members to do the work and they were very tidy and cleaned up well after themselves. They also adjusted a door two years after the installation without any charge or problems.

We purchased 2 sets of doors from CDW in Chatsworth, CA - one set of French Doors with sidelights and one slider. Work included removal of existing wood French doors with sidelights (both locations), installation of new doors, and installation of new trim (inside and out). Doors were ordered with wood "look" laminate on the inside, and white finish on the outside. Both sets of doors were ordered with "Marginal Grids" inside the glass (with matching laminate finishes), which add a nice decorative touch. Both doors are of very high quality - very heavy duty construction, good materials, and nice finishes. Doors are very heavy, but function smoothly and quietly. The locking systems (especially on the French doors - which are interlocked on multiple pins when locked) are solid, and the hardware looks stylish and sturdy. From a product standpoint, I believe that their products may be the best on the market. However, we did have some issues with our Sales Rep. He was very helpful when quoting and contracting the job. But once the doors were installed, he disappeared for all intents and purposes when we had some issues. He had forgotten to include a kick lock for the slider (a fairly common accessory) on the sales order, and the inside trim on the French Doors was installed, but not stained. He had assured us that we would have finished trim on both sides of the doors, but the installers only installed Oak casing - they did not stain it. Also, the screen door on the slider was not adjusted correctly, and did not slide properly. There were also a few small nicks in the laminate. All of these are fairly minor issues, but our sales rep (who made a point of stresses his and CDW's commitment to customer satisfaction and service) told me that I would have to call customer service myself when I called him to go over the issues after the installation. To me, he should have followed through after the job was done, and handled all arrangements with CDW to correct the situation. He did not. Fortunately, their customer service manager did come out promptly, and took care of all the details. I ended up having to stain the casing myself, but this was acceptable in the end. To summarize the good and bad: Pros: Excellent products Quality installations Good customer service manager Cons: A bit pricey (but in this case you at least get what you pay for) Inside trim was not finished (stained) Sales Rep follow-thru lacking Hardware/locksets can only be purchased from CDW - and are not available in dual-keyed type (keyed inside and out). I would have preferred a dual lock system for security (if someone breaks-in through a window, they cannot exit through a door).

This company was great. They gave us a very fair price for the amount of work that they were doing and they had a policy that the customer is always right. They sent out a double team to finish the job quickly and they payed great attention to detail and had great follow up.

I got my money's worth with this project! It was an expensive project, but we now have a sound-proof home in an energy improved environment. My story window looks great. They did everything they said they would and left my home spotless.

I AM 91 YEARS OLD, AND MY HOUSE WAS BUILT IN 1941. THE INSTALLER WAS SO NICE TO ME. I HAVE VERY LARGE and LONG WINDOWS THAT GO DOWN TO THE FLOOR. THEY CAME IN AND MEASURED MY WINDOW PANES. EVEN SCRAPED SOME OF THE ROTTEN WOOD OFF OF THEM BEFORE INSTALLING THE WINDOWS.
