He showed up on time, an hour after I called, he explained and showed what was wrong, told me what it was going to cost and finished the repair in 30 minutes flat. Was a great experience.

Fred was a little late but very courteous and professional and although his analysis cost me $1000 for a new oven I trusted that he knew what he was talking about -- although I did think about getting a second opinion. Although he was there for at least an hour, he only charged me for a service call which I thought was fair. The only minor negative was that he offered to find me a good price on a replacement --said I had to work thru him in order to get discount on a Frigidaire but when I called him and asked the model number of the oven so I could check it out online, he didn't return my call.

I authorized him to complete repair, which he did, and the problem is fixed :)

My tenant called and said the stove wasn't working. I contacted Fred by email in the evening and he responded immediately. Since this repair was at rental property, I did not want to come to the property to ensure the repair would be completed. Fred just asked for the tenant's name and phone number, then he contacted them and arranged a mutual agreeable time to do the repair the next day. Fred then called me back at the condclusion of the repair and sent me a bill in the mail. As a landlord, it is good to have contractors to call who I can trust to do the work in a timely manner and bill me. I will use Fred and the Sharp Appliance Repair company again.

Went well overall. Doesn't bill by the hour, but by the job. I didn't ask for estimates or for itemized repair invoices, but I think his rates are fair/good. To his credit, he's reliable, answers the phone, shows up promptly, is good at what he does and he backs up his work if there's any residual problems.

Fred again was very punctual, cordial and pleasant. He also was cooperative and very professional. He serviced the dryer again (until today no noise has appeared, thank goodness!!). Fred also repaired our oven and now my wife is able to bake again!! Thanks Fred for your outstanding and superb services. I will continue to utilize Sharp Appliance and Fred's services whenever I need to!!

Great from start to finish.

We saw the reviews on Angie's List and placed a call to Fred to look at our range and fridge. He came out, did some work on the fridge, said he needed to get parts for the stove and left...neither of them worked. Came back a few days later, changed out the thermostat on the fridge, took down some more numbers from the stove and said he'd come back. Fridge started to cool again but stove was still broken. The third time he came back, tried to install some parts on the stove, mumbled under his breath about the parts not working and he "wouldn't get his money back for the parts" and he left again. Stove still doesn't work. Two weeks later I had to call him as we had not heard from him. He indicated that he was going to try some other parts on the stove but didn't really want to because he didn't think it would work. I asked him point blank if the stove needed to be replaced and he said yes. I was frustrated he didn't tell me this two weeks prior but I moved on. Fast forward about a month. Open the fridge and the thermostat reads 65 degrees even though the fridge is on the lowest setting. Call Fred to see if he can come and look at it, and he begins to dispute the date of service even though it's written on the invoice. He indicates that he can come out the next morning but unfortunately that time doesn't work for me. He got very defensive, ugly on the phone, kept asking me "what do you want me to do" and would become even more hostile when I said I wanted him to do the job I had paid him for. He became very aggressive on the phone, extremely rude and finally said when he got time he'd call me back. I will never, ever use this man again. If he can't fix something, he needs to be honest enough to come right out and say it needs to be replaced instead of stringing you along and trying to fix something that may be beyond repair. Unprofessional, arrogant and overall a huge F!

I had the work done by Universal Appliance Service for $238.25. My reply to Sharp's response: I called Viking before I called any repair company and Viking quoted me about $150 for the knob and thermostat.

Fred is a breath of fresh air in a world of flaky and unprofessional contractors. He is everything but that! He is very responsive and shows up quickly every time. Reasonably priced too - no price guaging at all. We called him in the midst of a heat wave in LA when our AC went out. He came to repair it the next day. The issue wasn't totally resolved then so he showed up the very next day to fix it to completion and it's running great. Even more, we expressed our concern that we would be out of town for vacation and didn't want it to go out on our house sitter (in blazing 100+ temps) and he assured us - "Do not worry. If there is a problem have them call me while you are gone, I am here no problem." He is so trustworthy. What a treasure!!!

I called Sharp Appliance yesterday and Fred answered the phone himself. I told him the issues with my 20 year old Modern Maid oven and he felt he could help so I made an appointment for this afternoon between noon and 2:00. Fred arrived ten minutes early and was ready to go. We have cats and I needed him to be aware of them when going in and out, and he was. This is a very huge thing for us - if someone does work on our home they need to understand that our cats can not go outside. We try to keep the cats locked away from any work being done, but sometimes that's not possible. Fred looked at the oven and figured out the issue right away - our igniters were old and not working properly. He quoted me a price of 380.00 parts and labor to take out the old ones and replace them. I agreed and he did this very quickly. Then he checked them out and made sure they both worked properly. I would use Sharp Appliance again.

Ice maker on our Frigidaire had not worked properly since purchase and we had several service calls from others who failed to fix it. fred did the job right.

Great experience from start to finish

I I found Sharp Appliance Repair on Angie's List. Fred and Edgar came to my home to install two pedestals beneath my Samsung washer and dryer. They were incredibly professional and showed up on time. I think they charged a good price for the work that was completed. It is more labor intensive than you would expect. I had called several companies, and no one was willing to do an "install." Fred gave me a choice of times and helped me put together a time that worked for both of us. He answered his phone when I called him, which is rare. They installed the pedestals properly and gave me information on the install. They even swept out the junk behind my washer and dryer for me.I will call Sharp Appliance again for my next appliance or electrical service, and I will recommend them to my real estate clients.

Fred came out within about an hour of my call. Replaced the ignitor for the price they estimated. Everything went like I expected and was a good experience.

Fred is a good man and an excellent repair man. He showed up the same day we called for service. He identified the problem and fixed our air conditioner on the spot. Great service all around. Having someone we can count on is rare. Fred is fair and it's nice doing business with him. We trust him to do future work in our home as well.

Fred the owner came out and repaired my dishwasher. I was very pleased with Fred's response, punctuality, courteousness, and professionalism. I called in the morning and he came out in the afternoon. I was very, very pleased.

I got Sharp Appliance repair through Angie's List. When I called I left a message and Fred returned the call quickly. He said he could be there between three and four but actually showed up at 2:30. He diagnosed the problem quickly and said he had to go get the part. He called from the parts place and said it would be 2 days before they could get it. I didn't want to lose all the food in my freezer and refigerator and asked if he could get one somewhere else. Within five minutes he called back and said he found a place in El Monte that had it in stock. I aked if he would be willing to go and get it?. Without hesitation he said yes. Now remember it was a weekday afternoon and it was almost 4 o'clock,. not an easy drive from Van Nuys to El Monte at that time of day. He was back quickly with the part and had the refrigerator running perfectly. Now he did charge me for the inconvenience of having to go so far for the part but it was well worth it to me and I feel it was above and beyond what most companies would do. Fred was very friendly, professional and I will not hesitate to call him again. I recommend him highly.

No problems. Fred worked carefully and replaced some floor molding which he had to remove to repair the connections. He also gave us a $25 first time discount even though he doesn't have a coupon on Angie's List.

Fred was very courteous on the phone and was able to scheduled a visit right away. He arrived on time and was just as personable in person as on the phone. He went right to work and found that the pump needed to be replaced but it was a model he did not have on hand. He checked locally and was able to find one. He went and pickup the part and replaced the pump, bracket and hose line. Fred was very meticulous and cleaned up the work area, not even any water left behind! I will be calling Fred soon for my other appliances as well.

Fred came out very promptly after I called him. He was on time for our appointment and called an hour or so before hand to confirm. He was very professional and worked quickly. I would definitely hire him again if we have any future appliance issues, he was great to work with.

Fred came out the same day that I called to schedule the appointment, which was fortunate as I had a dryer full of wet clothes. Fred was prompt, professional, friendly, and very good at appliance repair. He diagnosed the problem quickly and fixed the dryer fast. The dryer has been working well since then, and we are very pleased with the service. In fact, I have just called to schedule another appointment with Sharp Appliance to fix our dishwasher. I highly recommend this company.

I called Angie's List to request the names of small appliance repair shops in my area and one of the businesses recommended was Sharp Appliance Repair in Burbank. I called and Fred came the next day. He picked up the cartridge and the replacement parts and repaired the unit and returned it within 24 hours. He was courteous and highly professional and my burner works perfectly! I will definitely use his service again in the future.

It went very well, but I thought it was very over priced for the work that was done. He came on time, very friendly, and very professional and helpful. Just a very nice guy.
