Sharp Appliance inspected my several years old dishwasher, told me that it was leaking water down onto the electrical wiring underneath, and said I needed a new dishwasher. Sharp replaced the damaged electrical wiring and charged me $295.00. What Sharp didn't tell me was that when my new dishwasher would be delivered, the delivery men would be prepared to install new electrical wiring as part of the installation. I wish Sharp had given me this information before installing the new wiring and charging me for it.

There were a few parts that needed to be fitted, but all in all, it was a very pleasant experience.He was very prompt and very professional. I would call him again if I needed assistance.

Fred was able to come out the next day to look at my washer, which was leaking. He arrived promptly and was able to diagnose and repair the pump which had been broken by debris stuck in it. Fred worked quickly and was very courteous and professional. I would use his services again.

Fred is wonderful! My refrigerator had been either freezing the food or leaking water pretty much since I moved in a couple of months ago. I'd been putting off dealing with it because my schedule is unpredictable, but Fred arrived about 30 minutes after I called. He was so nice, and didn't make a big deal about taking his shoes off before entering my house (it's a spiritual energy thing). Even my dog liked him. He assessed the problem, replaced a part, and even went so far as to actually show me exactly how to control the temperature and the air flow (the two are separate....who knew?). He was done In less than an hour. The job was actually $225.00, but I had a coupon from Angie's list which he applied, so it wound up costing $200.00. I have no frame of reference, but I'm sure that was a great price. Thanks for the great job and service, Fred. You can be sure we'll use you the next time!

Fred was extremely responsive and came out to look at our machine within a couple hours of calling him. (A different provider I contacted from my Angie's List search never even returned my call!) The problem with our washing machine was quickly diagnosed, and Fred had the part to make the repair right away. The repair went quickly, and the machine has been working great ever since. The whole diagnosis and repair took a half hour or less to complete. We called Fred back to come check out a problem with the washer more recently -- When he came back out (again, within the hour) he was able to troubleshoot the issue with us, and confirm that the problem was with the plumbing connected to the machine, not the washer itself. Always been very responsive and very professional. We will be keeping Sharp's contact info handy for our future repairs!

It was good. He came and didn’t have the parts, but went out to get them and finished the job in 30 minutes at the most. The owner came and he was good. He was efficient.

It was great! The guy who came, Fred, was trustworthy and professional. There were a couple visits. He had to order a part and come back. It took him a couple hours to complete the job.

Fred is a courteous and polite professional that knows his job and does it very well. On arrival, he got right to work assessing the problem, gathering the needed parts from his vehicle, and performed the repair - all in under 20 minutes. He offered to clean out the condenser while he was in there, which I agreed to - and he applied a fair discount to the price for that service in order to not double-bill for the labor already performed to access the unit. Throughout the visit, every interaction I had with Fred was comfortable, relaxed and professional. I highly recommend both Fred & Sharp Appliance Repair for anyone that has a need for home repair, even on very short notice (as was the case for me).

He has had to replace freon one time, and replace the thermostat another--also involved having to find certain parts, and it is running smoothly to this day.

Fred again returned my call very quickly and set up a time frame when he would be able to come. He was on time, actually early for the appointed time on Monday, 8/26. He remembered the problem from before and went right to work. He was very cordial, responsive and diligent in his time and repairs. It was done in last then 1/2 hour and now the noise is gone (I hope so). He was very professional in his approach, couteous, punctual, and diligent in his approach to the repairs. Will have Fred over to do more repairs if there is ever a need. Again will give an A+++++. Thanks Fred for a job well done again.

Fred made the repair in a tenant occupied townhouse and contacted the tenant to make the arrangements to come and make the repair. I did not have to be there and they were very happy with the repair.

He charged $55 for doing nothing, and would not accept the $25 coupon, saying it did not include labor. However the coupon has nothing printed on it that discloses that. And he seemed not interested in coming back to look at it again. A rip off artist.

the cooler was not working well i was calling people and a had to make app. and wait for 3 days and when i called him he came in the next hour he found the problem fast and fixed it

He came an hour after we called. Knew what was wrong and replaced two parts that were no longer working and a switch that needed replacing. His price seemed right and I would certainly use him again. A good job well done.

I decided not to use this company to repair the machine. Instead I purchased a new one.

I called Thursday afternoon to ask about having someone come take a look at my washer. I was told that they could have someone come the next day between 9-11a. Fred arrived at 9:15a. He asked me what the problem was, took a look at the bottom of my machine and "diagnosed" the problem, all in about 5 minutes. He explained to me what was broken and gave me an estimate. He said that he had the needed part and asked if I would like the work done. I said yes and also mentioned that I found Sharp Appliance Repair on Angie's List. This was important because I had looked at several service providers and thought that Sharp Appliance was one that offered a discount for Angie's List members. Fred completed the work quickly, tested the machine (it worked!) and asked me if I'd like him to drain the water or leave it in there to start a wash load. I thought this was very considerate to ask. Fred wrote up my invoice and I asked about the Angie's List discount. He deducted $25 and asked me if that was alright. I thought it was a strange question because the discount should have been whatever they were offering, but I said it was fine. Today, when I came to post my review, I realize why he asked that question. Sharp Appliance was NOT one of the providers I looked at who offered a discount. I feel like such a bully for asking for and expecting one, but I really appreciate Fred's willingness to give me a discount without question. My experience with Fred and this company was all positive. They were professional, punctual, quick, competent and nice. I would definitely recommend them.

und the mundI made an appointment with Fred, the owner for Friday morning, April 12 between 7AM and 8AM. He came at 7:40AM. He diagnosed the problem, left to purchase the thermostat and returned shortly to finish the job. In addition, he cleaned the area around the motor in the back of the appliance. Finally, he cleaned up the area around where he was working. He was very courteous, professional, honest, and most importantly, knowledgeable in his craft. I would recommend him to anyone looking for repairs in anything HVAC.

When our rather expensive but out of warranty GE Profile refrigerator died, we found Sharp Appliance Repair on Angie's List and gave them a call. Fred arrived promptly, just when he said he would. He was very professional and personable. He knew exactly how to fix the problem and get the refrigerator running again. He even returned later in the day to be sure it was cooling properly. It has worked perfectly ever since. We will definitely contact this provider again is we need appliance repairs. Highly recommended.

The repair work went smoothly and quickly. He even vacuumed during and after the repair work.

I called early (7AM) the morning when i discovered a large puddle at the base of my 12 year old KitchenAid side by side refrigerator - it took a minute to realize it was all the ice from the icetub - melted and run out onto the floor. (i called based on the A rating on Angle's list and close geographic proximity. The owner answered and said he could be at my home in 2 hours - and was prompt in his arrival. after a few minutes of helping me clear away stuff piled on the fridge -he pulled out the unit and took off the back and- he said it was 90% likely that it was a small part - gave me an estimate - which i approved and began the repair. it took about 15 minutes - and he had the right parts for this unit on the truck - they were on-brand as i had told him the year and make of my fridge. he was very helpful in cleaning up the piles of dog and cat hair stuck in the back and under the unit. this was a most helpful and professional appliance repair. i

They came out and were very nice and prompt. They put in a fan to fix the issue, but this did not work. He also cleared frozen ice out. I had to call them back to come back, because the issue was not fixed. They refunded my money for the service, which I was thankful for.

My dryer was not heating up, otherwise it was working. Fred was kind, professional, and showed up on time the morning following my call. He replaced the thermal fuse and coil set. He also put a new metal vent on the back. The vent didn't need replacing, but Fred said he had a better one and would not charge me for it. I think they cost around $10 at home depot. The other parts might have been around $65 online, plus shipping, tax, and time, if I'd known how to assess the problem and fix it. Since I didn't, I paid $200, using the coupon Fred offered through Angie's List. I'm glad to have had his help. My dryer is working perfectly again.

The oven works and we were very happy that they were ther so faxt as we had previously waited two hours for another company that then had to reschedule so we elected not to use their services.

The technician arrived on time, was able to deal with an appliance that was difficult to access, and fixed it up! Great experience

Fred arrived punctually for his appointment which was the day after my initial phone call. He replaced the control board on my dishwasher and assured me that if that wasn't where the problem was, he would come back and sort it out. Sure enough, the dishwasher was still having problems. Of course, this was during the holidays when I had a house full of people! I called and left a message just before Christmas and asked when he could come back. He called back and made and appointment for one of those crazy days between Christmas and New years. I was impressed because I knew he must be as busy as we were and again, he was right on time. He worked on the dishwasher some more and got it up and working properly. It seemed to be a combination of the control board going screwy and broken glass and matter stuck in the dishwasher itself. There was no extra charge for the second visit. The dishwasher has been working great ever since. It works slightly differently with the alternate control board, but it washes as clean as when it was brand new. Fred was as good as his word. I would call Fred again for any appliance repair. He is very knowledgeable.
