Fred, the owner, arrived promptly, and immediately diagnosed the problem as a broken pump. He had the parts available and was able to complete the job in less than 30 minutes. I was impressed that his hours are listed as 6 AM-11 PM. "I always answer my cellphone, and am also available on weekends at no extra charge." He's clearly a hard worker who values his clientele. Before he left, I consulted him about an air conditioning issue in our home, and he told me he would return with a technician to solve that problem as well. The reason I gave a "B" for price is that it wasn't a cheap repair, but I'm sure Fred is fair and charged accordingly, based on his labor and parts costs. I would definitely recommend Sharp Appliance Repair for all appliance repair needs.

When they arrived I couldn't re-produce the A/C problem, so I had them look at my washing machine. I had a broken drain pump and he replaced for me. I would definitely use them again, they were great!

I called him from Angie's list, he was out to my rental the next day, handle the time arrangement with my tenant. I got a call early afternoon, the frig was fixed. I paid him a very fair price and my headache was gone. Greta service and great follow up. No stress. I will recommend him to the other condo owners in our complex.

Sunday evening May 25, we noticed that the refrigerator was leaking and as time went on it was getting worst. My thought was that we would not see someone until Tuesday with Monday being a holiday. I went to Angie's List and saw Sharp Appliance Repair and decided to call it was now 7:15. I was pleasantly surprised when Fred answered the phone and I told him the problem he told me that he would get back to me in 5 minutes and he did. We arranged for him to come on Monday (Memorial Day) between 9am-11am. We turned our water off during the night to minimize any damage and Fred showed up a little after 9am on Monday. He looked at it and quickly told us the problem and took care of it. He even cleaned the condenser as a complimentary service. We feel that Fred was very professional and honest. We asked him about doing another job for us at another time but he told us that he did not want to do it because he felt it would just cause more problems then it was worth. He gave us a suggestion which we are thinking about. Fred was our hero today and we would definitely use his service again. Thank you Fred!!!

Called Sharp shortly after 6am regarding our refrigerator, which went on the blink the night before. Although the 1st available appointment wasn't until early afternoon, Fred ended up calling back and coming to the house mid-morning. This was much appreciated, since the inside of the fridge and freezer kept getting warmer... Unfortunately, although he tried, Fred was not able to fix the refrigerator (which was 16 years old). The only charge was the service call. Although it would have been great if it hadn't been the end of that fridge, Fred's responsiveness and his attempts to fix it were greatly appreciated.

It was great. Fred did a great job and was very responsive. I would use them again.

Replaced the coil. Dryer still didn't work. Came back determined new coil was bad. Replaced at no charge. Fred was great. Very professional. On time and on top of it.

We looked for A-rated appliance repair on Angies. Found Sharp Appliance was offering a $25 off deal. We called him and he was able to come out the next morning. He came withing the prescribed time frame. His first offer for price was $225. My wife negotiated him down to $180. He replaced the coil and fixed the dryer door latch (it was a little loose) all in about 20 minutes. He was courteous and professional, but the price seems high for just $20 of work. Dryer coils can't be that much.

Fred was prompt and a professional. Came back a few days later to make sure everything was working ok. (He's also replaced my disposal.) Will happily call him back for any other appliance work I have.

Fred was extremely responsive, punctual and professional. The repair was very quick once he was able to test the machine. (Before he could run a diagnosis, he had to return with a missing part that the previous "repairperson" had removed and lost). I will definitely call Fred first the next time.

9:30 am Monday: Started the dishwasher, water pouring all over the floor. 10:15 am: Called Sharp Appliance. Fred says he'll be here between 12 and 2. 1:30 pm: Fred shows up at the door. 2:30 pm: Problem solved! Service was punctual, effective, efficient, and professional. I never expected he would show up within just a few hours of our call, and I'm very thankful to have a working dishwasher again on the day after our baby's birthday party. I would use Fred again and plan to bring him back to handle our periodic A/C service this spring. Thank you Fred!

I give him an A+++++. This service was by far the best I've ever received. I called them a little after 11:00 on a Monday morning. Fred said he would be here between 12 and 1. He arrived around 12:20 and by 1:30 the job was done and my refrigerator and freezer were up and running. He had the part with him but said if he didn't he would drive to Van Nuys and be back this afternoon with it. He had it in his truck so was able to do it all in just this one trip. He also found a leak in the copper tubing for the ice maker that was dripping down the wall and repaired it with a different size connector for no charge. He had the refrigerator pulled out and so he also vacuumed the area. Fred was very professional in his manner and stated if I would have called him on Sunday (when we noticed the problem he would have come then.) He will definitely be my "Go To" guy for all my future repairs and am confident if you use him you won't be disappointed. I almost forgot he also had a coupon I printed out so I got $25 off the $345 price so I only paid $320.

call Fred again. He reponded We've had problems with this dryer for some time with the noise it made and not getting hot.. The noise and the heat would come and go. I was able to be in contact with Fred and this time the noise was just too loud for us to handle. The heat would come and go so it was time to call Fred to come out again. He was prompt and again courteous and very professional in his diagnosis and repairing of the problem. We will give it a try tonight and give our results to Fred tomorrow. I would recommend Fred to anyone who has any type of appliance problems. He gets our A+++++

Fred showed up on time and was very friendly and professional. He completed the work in a timely manner. Will use him again for annual AC and Furnace checkups.

We have lived at our current address since 1986. The Sub Zero fridge and freezer have been with us since then. Many repairmen have come and gone over the years and each one ripped us off one way or the other. So when our freezer stopped freezing we thought we had to bite the bullet and buy a new one. But first we wanted to know if it can be fixed because the other option would include buying a matching fridge or a combo unit with both choices requiring a remodel of the area in the kitchen. So we looked up Angies List and found Sharp Appliance Repair and with much trepidation gave them a call even if they had a high rating. Fred answered the call and after describing the problem and despite finding out that the Sub Zero was an ancient model he said he couls come out within 2 hours. He did exactly that and once we met him we immediately felt comfortable because he had a good aura. After a few minutes he determined that the compressor wasn't working and explained that he would try the relay and some other part to see if that will fix the problem. He said that if it worked this would be $450 including parts. If the compressor needed replacement that would cost $1,800 to $2,000. At this point we prayed that the quick fix would do it but even a new compressor is still better than buying a new one (yes we know its not energy efficient). We soon found out the compressor was good and Fred completed the work by cleaning the condenser and our freezer was back working. He then took care of the leaking refrigerator drain and cleaned the condenser as well. Actually we called Sharp a few days before the freezer because the Vinotemp wine chiller digital display started flashing an error code indicating "Contact Vinotemp". Fred inspected the didgital control and found a loose connection which he reconnected and the unit came alive. The work for both the refrigerator and wine chiller was $85. So for a total of $535 we had three appliances fixed. We have found the best appliance repairman and the good news is he's way younger than we are so he will be our last repairman. We recommend Sharp Appliance Repair to anyone who has had bad experiences before and see for yourself that there does exist a good repairman.

Very well. We live in a condo. He was knowledgable about how to find the unit. He was very punctual. He was able to fix the airconditioner quickly. No B.S, no drama. friendly. Fair price.

Fred did a superb job, quickly and efficiently. The repair were done in a rental unit and Fred contacted the tenants directly and set up an appointment. I did everything with Fred by telephone. It worked beautifully.

I have used Fred and Sharp Appliance repair in the past so he was my first call. I didn't need to be at the property and Fred went out and diagnosed the problem with a faulty water heater that would not light. After diagnosing the problem, he called me back and explained everything and we decided to replace the water heater. Again, without having to be at the property, Fred handled everything. I sent him a check in the mail. He sent me an invoice in the mail. I plan on calling Fred again in the future, he is fair, honest and fast. Shortly after installing our water heater, my in-laws needed their water heater replaced and I arranged everything with Fred over the phone to get their water heater replaced, also!
