The crew showed up on time and the work was also 1 day ahead of schedule. I was called by Carl and told I didn’t need, which saved me $ 2000.00.

Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience with this company due to their lack of organization as a business. I called them a week ago to schedule a service appointment in order to fix a crack in my roof. I gave the company two different addresses: the billing address for payment and the address of the location where they had to fix the roof. They ended up sending someone to my billing address. I got a call from the roofer saying that he was lost. I tell him that he's at the wrong address and needs to go to the other one. He told me that he didn't service that area and that the company would call me about sending out another roofer to go to the right location. They never called me. So I call them and they tell me that they can't get a roofer there until Saturday.

Once we had contracted for the work, we were visited by Chris Enamorado who re-verified the work to be done. The ladies of the office staff then called us with the days and times for removal. They also called us every day that the crews were working to learn of any questions and/or concerns we might have and to make sure that we were satisfied with the work as it progressed. Chris and his team worked very well during the removal process. The men were hard-working and efficient. The did their best to protect our plants and cleaned up very well each day before they left. Although the crews spoke Spanish among themselves, any time I had to talk with anyone, I had no problem communicating in English. When the installation teams arrived with the materials and began the installation, it was very easy to observe the care with which they worked. They used the exact materials we had contracted for and Gamaiel even called to offer us an upgrade at no cost - which we accepted gratefully. (That was a nice touch; totally unexpected!) When the installers did have to replace plywood or facia boards, we were shown exactly what wood damage they had found and were given the opportunity to accept or reject their recommendations. I was very impressed with the amount of care and pride the installers seemed to take in their work. Again, every day before the crew left our property, it was cleaned up and any refuse hauled away. When the city inspector came by, the roof passed inspection with no problem. Chris was here for the final inspection and, again, impressed us with his professionalism. Hopefully, we will not have to have another roofing job done on this house for many years, but I would never hesitate to recommend Modern Roofing, Gamaiel Edmerson, Chris Enamorado and their excellent office team to anyone interested in having any roofing work done.

What started out as an estimate for repair of some leaks ended up as total roof repair. I live in a 100 year old house, and have no idea when the roof was last serviced, but it is obvious that the re-roofing was sorely needed. Modern Roofing carefully explained the the scope of work needed backed up with photos, the material to be used and the warranty provided. They obtained the needed permits from the City of Los Angeles, showed up when promised, kept me informed of the progress of the work, delay in completion because the material needed to dry, and then completed the work in a neat and workmanlike manner. I can recommend them to anyone needing simple roof repair or re-roofing.

My grandparents and I had gotten a few estimates, but after carefull review we went with Modern Roofing. The estimator who came out to to the property provided not only a good price, but a good warranty as far as their workmanship goes. Communication was excellent with the staff and the field representative. The crews started early every day and were very polite and eager to keep the property clean. Our pool and plants were covered with a plastic to cover from debri . I can't say it wasn't noisy the first day but we managed to get out of the house for a few hours, so that gave us a break! . The city inspector came out to pass the first inspection and shortly thereafter the crew started to install the shingles. I got a call from the office staff the 3 days of the project and final inspection passed. We are very pleased and thankful that we had Modern Roofing to do our work because it looks great! My grand parents and I are highly satisfied and this is one of the reasons why I am writing this review. I would recommend this company anytime!

When I called them they were polite and courteous. They gave me a date and confirmed it with an email. They arrived a bit early and were very polite. They looked around inside. They checked out the roof and they did a water test to make sure they knew what needed done. He gave me a quote and went up and started to work. They finished the job and got it done well. He was below his estimate by $100.00

They performed all of this in two days. You would never haven known they were here. They painted the roof white which help reflects the sun which keeps it cool inside on hot days. They were also much cheaper than the other two estimates I received.

They were very good, very professional and on time. They were very good with their clean up.

They did great job. I was happy with their work.

Modern Roofing was easy to work with from scheduling forward. Mike was right on time and did his work in an efficient but not hurried way. He replaced four tiles, without any additional charge, when the original agreement was only for two. I was impressed with how thorough he was, down to photographing the roof and showing me the photos right on site. I also believe that he was honest with me about the fact that my roof is in generally good repair. Mike was polite and personable. I would hire Modern Roofing again for any roofing needs.

Estimator was great and knowledgeable, but then when the crew came out they said that the estimator was wrong about the process he described, which was mush more thorough a process than what the crew leader wanted to execute. So I had to bring up my getting an adjustment in labor costs because what they did was less than what he bid. In the end, they did a good job, but had to come out a second time to seal even more area because the roof was still leaking somewhat. The second time, one spot was sealed and the second spot still has a bit of a leak. Which I need to call them again on.They have been prompt and responsive, most of the time. But I have gotten mixed signals between those in the office, vs. those on the job site. I was told by one guy that came out after we were still leaking after the first fix that the source of the leak was not included in the original bid, so that there policy of making one return visit for free didn't apply because it wasn't their work that was faulty. But then when the crew came out they did this really nice thorough re-coat job and expanded the sealed/coated area, and they were great.So it was odd.Overall, ultimately, a good experience. With a number of bumps in the road.

Over all the experience was good due to Gamaiel (our rep.). We Are very cautious at any work we have done on our home as we have been burned before. Gamaiel was willing to come out 3 times prior to us signing anything to talk to us and make us feel comfortable. His company was also able to bring in an AC company to repair a previous contractors horrendous job, and that was not easy. when the job started Gamaiel called to be sure we were happy with what was being done, during the job some on site changes had to be made that concerned me, and he stopped what he was doing to contact the site manager, find out what was happening, and again make me feel comfortable with what was happening. On day two we ran into the first problem. Due to the rework on the AC ducting lots of holes were now open in the roof. Because no bad weather was in the future nothing was covered to keep things out. One thing the site supervisor overlooked was that my neighbors in all directions have lots of fruit trees that attract RAT's that use the wires to cross over to my yard via my roof. I called Gamaiel late at night because i worked late and he dropped what he was doing to come to my house and cover all the holes himself. Unfortunately it was too late as we have had to call an exterminator to kill the rats now living in my attic. That being said I would still recommend this company, just need to watch the work and catch this kind of problem before it happens. Gamaiel is now in my speed dial as the company does more then just roofing.

Modern Roofing did a tremendous job. I am very pleased with them. I found them through Angie's List. They were very professional and they did the job quickly. Some of the estimate hadn’t included some things; I wanted something set up here before they estimated. I just told him that I wanted it all fixed, I asked him the cost and said that my insurance would cover it. He missed a few things, but the guys fixed it without charging us more. Their price was good for what they did.

Overall experience was terrible. In every communication with the company, their people seemed very practiced in getting the customer to just shut up. There was no honest communication at all. Considering the terrible communication and cleanup outlined below, I can't imagine that they did a decent job on the roofing. Unfortunately, I'm not qualified to judge the roofing work itself. Nov 22 ? Signed contract. They couldn't estimate how many days of work the job would be until the project manager came to see the job. Dec 21 ? They scheduled work, but Ana was unwilling to describe how many days' work the job would be. Instead she went on a well-practiced speech about weather delays. Only after I pointed out that the project manager should have been on-site to scope the work did she say it would be ?3-4 days of work?. Jan 4 ? work started Jan 7 ? Phillip says ?I?ll be back on Monday.? No work done, no call received. Jan 17 ? I call to see what?s up. Office says ?Project manager willcall in a couple of hours.? No work done, no call received. Jan 27 ? Called again. Spoke with Celine. Ana says Sergio will be there on Jan 30 Jan 30 ? Sergio was to arrive ?between 1:00 & 4:00,? so I took the afternoon off work; Sergio arrived around 4:00. Sergio's English skills were terrible; I couldn't tell what he was saying about what would be done and when. Feb 2: I got a phone call asking for payment, saying the job is done. The cleanup certainly wasn't complete; sealant was still splattered all over our house. Feb 3: Ana at Modern Roofing says: - This is how they treat all their customers - The delays were due to weather. The comment blaming delays on poor weather is quite rich. weather.org for Burbank records only two days of rain: Jan 21 & Jan 23. Regardless of the weather, there was no reason to ignore me and my calls between Jan 7, when the job was abandoned, and Jan 27. Around Feb 10, someone came to clean the sealant off our home. Feb 20: The job still isn't complete; the debris catches over the drains weren't replaced. I paid the bill anyway; I just want to be done with these people.

I have contacted them several times and they will not do anything without Sears approval. I would never recommend them to anyone. Their customer service was not up to par at all. Buyer Beware!

We haven't used them yet, so we don't know what the service is like. But I would say that they are very personable and took the time to make sure all of my need were met.

The original quote was 8-9 thousand, plus a charge per foot for replacing damaged wood under the old roof. Final total was around 11 thousand.

The work was completed within one week. Wrorkers cleaned up the work area(s) each day so that no nails or debris were left laying around. Everything went well, the company pulled the work permit so I didn't need to worry about that. There were only minor corrections to be made (a shingle did not get nailed onto an eave correctly and one of the the airflow vents on the roof needed to have its angle corrected). It was a great contractor experience.

They didn't end up doing the job. I purchased a deal for them to come out, but they didn't want to perform the service they signed up to do. They wanted to charge me additional money on top of what I paid. It felt very crooked.
